Battle Through the Heavens: Inward Cultivation, Crying Xiao Yan

Xiao Yan stared in disbelief at everything before him.

Chapter 30: Beginner's Guide to Alchemy

No, buddy, wasn't this the one I gave you?

We practiced for about the same amount of time, and I also had a teacher to guide me.

What makes you think you possess such terrifying power?

Let's shut it down, it's pointless.

“This…this…Brother Yang, you…”

Looking at the broken trees in front of him and the wood chips around him, Xiao Yan stammered.

Xiao Yang touched his nose and said.

"Ahem, I recently broke through to the Fighter level by luck, and now I can unleash five layers of hidden power with the Eight Extremes Collapse."

Upon hearing that Xiao Yang had broken through to the Dou Zhe level, Xiao Yan's expression crumbled once again.

No, it's really open!

"Brother Yang, you...you've broken through to the Dou Zhe level?!"

Xiao Yan unconsciously raised his voice several pitches, making his voice somewhat distorted.

"What a lucky break, what a lucky break."

Xiao Yang said with a smile.

For some reason, Xiao Yan felt that Xiao Yang's words sounded familiar at this moment.

He had some doubts: Could Xiao Yang also have a soul?

"Brother Yang, how did you do that?"

He hesitated for a moment, but still asked.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang pondered for a moment before speaking.

"I recently became an apprentice of a pharmacist."

"However, the other party doesn't like to show their face, so I didn't tell anyone else about it."

"I came to the back mountain today to find a quiet cave to start learning alchemy."

"My teacher gave me some things and then left."

The more Xiao Yan listened, the more familiar the script seemed.

"You...I...Congratulations, Brother Yang, on becoming an apprentice of a pharmacist."

"So, Yang-ge, you'll become an alchemist later on?"

Xiao Yang nodded.

"Yes, my teacher has prepared some beginner alchemy materials for me to practice on my own."

Then, he had a sudden inspiration and said...

"Once you break through to the Dou Zhe level, if your attributes are suitable, I can also give you something to try becoming an alchemist."

He suddenly remembered that he also had a fourth-grade alchemist's alchemy manual.

If I give it to Xiao Yan, I should be able to get some rewards.

Xiao Yan didn't seem to care much when he heard this.

After all, with the existence of the Medicine Master, he could also become an alchemist.

What he's more curious about now is how Xiao Yang managed to cultivate the Eight Extremes Collapse to the point of possessing five levels of hidden strength so quickly.

He himself knew how difficult it was to cultivate the Eight Extremes Collapse.

"Thank you, Brother Yang."

"By the way, Yang-ge, how did you cultivate the Eight Extremes Collapse?"

"I've cultivated myself to this point, and I'm only now barely able to use it."

Although Yao Lao is powerful and has a high level of vision, he can guide Xiao Yan in cultivating the Eight Extremes Collapse.

However, in reality, Yao Lao himself had never practiced the Eight Extremes Collapse.

After all, what level had Yao Lao reached back then?

He didn't think much of the profound-level fighting technique, Eight Extremes Collapse.

Therefore, when Yao Lao guides Xiao Yan now, he is only doing so from the perspective of a peak Dou Zun expert.

In terms of familiarity with the Eight Extremes Collapse, they may not even be as familiar as Xiao Yang.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang attempted to create a task.

[Task: Instruct Xiao Yan on the Eight Extremes Collapse technique, imparting to him the experience of cultivating the Eight Extremes Collapse. Reward: Qi +1, Comprehension +1, Eight Extremes Collapse Proficiency +1]

His eyes lit up when he saw the mission reward.

Great, this is much easier than completing the proficiency tasks.

And there's also the air-breathing cricket edge, the Nuo Yuan Da Sui.

Without hesitation, Xiao Yang told Xiao Yan all his insights about the Eight Extremes Collapse.

Xiao Yan also benefited greatly.

After all, although Yao Lao had a high standard, he had never actually practiced the Eight Extremes Collapse.

He would occasionally demonstrate it to Xiao Yan.

At the same time, it will also point out some of Xiao Yan's mistakes.

Xiao Yang, whose mastery of the Eight Extremes Collapse technique is already at its peak, could easily be given some pointers.

He then spent a full half hour instructing Xiao Yan before it ended.

"Alright, these are my insights. I'm going to find a cave to try refining medicine now."

He hadn't forgotten the purpose of his visit.

At that moment, a system notification sounded in his mind.

[Task: Instruct Xiao Yan on the Eight Extremes Collapse technique, imparting to him the experience of cultivating the Eight Extremes Collapse. Reward: Qi +1, Comprehension +1, Eight Extremes Collapse Proficiency +1. Completed. Claim reward?]

"Thank you, Brother Yang. I know there's a cave in the back mountain that's perfect for you to refine medicine."

Because he often came to the back mountain, Xiao Yan was very familiar with this place.

He directly told Xiao Yang the location of a cave.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang bid him farewell and headed towards the cave.

"Tsk tsk, this little guy is quite talented. Not only is his soul power strong, but he also has the fire and wood attributes."

"Moreover, the fact that one can cultivate five levels of internal strength in such a short time shows that one has good comprehension."

"He might actually become an alchemist in a short time."

"I just don't know what level of alchemist his teacher is."

Sensing Xiao Yang's departure, Yao Lao no longer hid.

A hint of anticipation flashed in Xiao Yan's eyes.

"Teacher, when do you think I'll be able to break through to the Dou Zhe level and start trying alchemy?"

The old doctor glanced at Xiao Yan.

"you?"

"For now, you should focus on cultivating your fighting spirit. Once you reach the ninth level of fighting spirit, I will make you a Qi Gathering Powder."

"Even with the Foundation Building Elixir, it might still take more than half a year."

Xiao Yan did not feel disappointed upon hearing this.

At this moment, his eyes were full of fighting spirit. He was determined to break through to the level of a fighter as soon as possible and learn alchemy!

……

Soon, Xiao Yang arrived at the cave that Xiao Yan had mentioned.

The cave was very clean, which suggests that Xiao Yan must come here often.

There is also a huge rock at the entrance, which can be pulled over to block the cave.

After lighting the oil lamp left by Xiao Yan in the cave, they blocked the cave entrance with a boulder.

He directly claimed the reward for the task he had just completed.

Then, he took out a red medicine cauldron and several herbs from his storage ring.

The medicine cauldron is about half a meter tall, with two exquisitely carved dragon heads at the bottom.

The top of the medicine cauldron has a lid and a special hole for putting in the medicinal materials.

In addition, there are small holes made of special materials on the lid of the cauldron, which are used for heat dissipation.

In the center of the medicine cauldron is a transparent mirror made of a special material, through which he can see the condition of the medicinal herbs inside.

Xiao Yang did not immediately begin attempting to refine the medicine, but instead first established a mission.

After all, his greatest advantage is the system, so he definitely needs to make good use of it.

[Task: Refine ten medicinal herbs; Reward: Fire Control Proficiency +1]

[Task: Test the medicinal properties of ten herbs; Reward: Pharmacology Proficiency +1]

[Task: Refine a batch of Blood Clotting Powder. Reward: Grade 1 Pill Proficiency +1, one Blood Crystal Bamboo stalk]

[Quest: Become a first-grade alchemist. Reward: Basic alchemy talent +1, Spirit Plant Technique]

Just as Xiao Yang was staring blankly at the rewards, the system panel began to change.

Soon, Xiao Yang, who was looking at the task list rewards, also noticed the change in the system panel.

Chapter 31 Extracting Medicinal Herbs

【Host:……】

……

[Alchemy:]

Grade: Not Graded

Pharmacology (Beginner 8/10)

Fire control (beginner)

Alchemy Techniques (Beginner 0/10)

First-grade elixir (Beginner 0/10)

Seeing the sudden appearance of information about alchemy on the system panel, Xiao Yang understood immediately.

He hadn't tried fire control before, something that required practical experience, so of course he was a novice.

As for pharmacology, I had read through all the prescriptions for the first-grade pills and memorized almost all the herbs listed.

In addition, there are pharmacological notes from the alchemy manuals of a fourth-grade alchemist.

His pharmacology proficiency has reached the beginner level, and it's quite high.

After all, a first-grade elixir requires a considerable number of low-grade medicinal materials.

As for alchemy techniques, although he has a fourth-grade alchemist's manual, he has not yet practiced them, so he is only at the very beginning and his proficiency is still 0.

As for his proficiency in making first-grade pills, it was the same; he only knew the formulas but had never actually practiced them.

What he was preparing to refine this time was a kind of pill called blood-clotting powder.

This is a prescription given by the system.
