American comics: From Hogwarts to God on Earth
Chapter 1: Times seem to have changed, but Dumbledore has changed the chapter again.
"Whoever I call your name now, put on your hat, sit on the stool, and await Sorting. Hannah Abbott!" The witch, wearing square glasses, with her black hair tied in a high bun and dressed in a dark green robe, called out loudly, silencing the noisy commotion.
The girl whose name was called walked nervously to the center of the hall, where a worn, patched, and filthy pointed wizard's hat was placed on her head.
"Hufflepuff!" the hat shouted.
……
"Rune Dark!"
"Slytherin!"
……
The morning sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, bringing warmth and brightness to the room. A fresh scent filled the air. It was a rare good day, but what made Rune even happier was his status bar.
Hogwarts' Everlasting Protection: Four great wizards used a magical ritual to transform a young wizard's uncontrollable magic into a permanent protective shield. Dumbledore later modified the ritual to make physical damage also difficult to harm the young wizard. The recipient will gain extremely high physical and magical resistance.
As a transmigrator, especially one who transmigrated to the DC universe, Rune had neither Kryptonian blood, nor relatives of Constantine, nor a professor at Gotham University. Aside from a system with the innate talent of "A Dream of the Yellow Millet," he had nothing. However, after just one night, Rune couldn't wait to kiss this system.
The dream of wealth and power allowed him to travel through worlds and gain various amazing skills simply by sleeping, which became the basis for his existence in the DC universe!
However, he didn't have much time for reflection, as there was a lot to do at Gotham Abbey. If he didn't start working early in the morning, it would be difficult to make it in time for breakfast. But with something to look forward to, Rune was quite motivated at work, and even earned praise from Sister Angelia for it.
As evening fell, Rune washed his face, looked at his youthful face in the mirror, and couldn't help but smile. He had planned out his study priorities for the day. In the current timeline, the Wayne couple were still alive. Just last night, they had participated in a charity event. He knew this so clearly because the monastery was also a beneficiary. To thank the couple for their contributions, he and other pretty children went to lay flowers.
The good news is that supervillains like General Zod, Yellow Lantern, and Darkseid haven't yet set their sights on Earth, giving Rune ample time to grow stronger. The bad news, however, is that he only knows the current Batman is male and can't determine which DC universe this belongs to. Even more absurdly, he can't even be sure if this world belongs to the Dark Multiverse.
Therefore, his primary focus was undoubtedly on Charms and Transfiguration, as these were the direct pathways to becoming stronger. Next were Potions and Alchemy. He only needed to learn the basic concepts of Potions, since he wasn't sure if the herbs could be found in the DC universe. Alchemy, however, required in-depth study, but unfortunately, it was only available in sixth and seventh grade and required some understanding of ancient runes, so Rune placed it last.
Defense Against the Dark Arts goes without saying; except for a few years, this course can basically only be learned through self-study. As for subjects like the history of magic and astronomy, they are even less useful and require almost no effort.
With a clear purpose in mind, Rune closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he found it was only six in the morning. He quickly got up and checked his schedule. First-year Slytherin students had two classes that day: Herbology in the morning and History of Magic in the afternoon. He didn't bother looking at the textbooks for these subjects, and immediately took out "The Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" to start previewing. This book explained the classification and some principles of Transfiguration in detail, and Rune felt he had mastered it after reading it a few times.
So he took out his wand, plucked a strand of his own hair, and began trying to cast a spell on it, but unfortunately, he failed. He couldn't even change the color of his hair, which greatly frustrated Rune. Perhaps it was a lack of talent?
He was determined to ask Professor McGonagall, but before that, he needed to conduct a few more experiments himself.
"Ah, looks like this is our dorm's little bookworm." A childish voice rang out. Rune turned to look; the boy's face was filled with sarcasm. His name was Edward, who had once humbly mingled with the pure-blood wizards at the Sorting Party, but now, his face was full of pride.
"Then can you tell me why I can't change the color and texture of this hair?" Rune asked. He didn't care about the other person's attitude, after all, the other person was just a child who was a little over ten years old.
"Because that's human transformation, you fool." Edward's tone was contemptuous, his nose almost touching Rune's.
Human shapeshifting? Rune frowned. He picked up a strand of hair. Was something plucked from a person considered part of the human body? He switched to a quill pen and tried to turn it into a needle. At this moment, Edward, who was standing nearby, couldn't stand it any longer. He took a box of matches from his clothes.
"Consider it a loan from me." He gave Rune a disdainful look.
"Thank you," Rune said, then, under Edward's astonished gaze, effortlessly transformed the match into a needle. The spellcasting process was strange; it felt as if something had flown out of his head.
"Have you practiced Transfiguration?" Edward asked.
Rune shook his head. Edward then stated confidently, "Then you must be a pureblood."
But when Rune asked why changing just a single hair constituted Transfiguration, Edward's face flushed red, and he stammered something unintelligible. Finally, as if remembering something, he hurriedly said, "You'd better start studying Potions. Although he's our headmaster, my dad says he's the strictest professor at Hogwarts."
Potions class is on Friday morning... However, Rune, who understands children, just mumbled a few "uh-huhs" and didn't hurt the child's bored self-esteem.
The herbalism class wasn't difficult; it only covered things like the effects of white peony root. However, because he hadn't prepared beforehand, Rune didn't earn any extra points for the house. After class, he went straight to the library. For him, learning magic was a form of entertainment, especially since Hogwarts didn't offer much else at the moment.
The library was much larger than Rune had anticipated. He roughly estimated that the entire library had thousands of bookshelves, containing tens of thousands of books. The rich heritage of Hogwarts was once again evident, and some of these books would become nourishment for Rune's growth.
When he was in third or fourth grade, he was determined to sneak into the forbidden library and see the forbidden magic. Rune secretly made up his mind.
