Chapter 19 Fusion of Superman Bloodline
On the surface, Rune cleaned up the feed mixer and the blood on the ground, but in reality, he transformed it into glass beads and stored them away.
At this moment, Rune felt somewhat guilty. When his savior was injured, his first thought was not to help him, but what benefits he could get from him. He couldn't treat Clark as selflessly as Martha and Jonathan.
However, Clark's injuries were not serious; he only had some scrapes. It was just that the affected area was relatively large, so it looked like he was bleeding a lot, but the bleeding stopped quickly.
Rune had originally planned to buy some brown sugar and ginger to make some potions, but seeing the scene before him, he abandoned the idea. Thank goodness, Clark would have recovered by now if it had been any later.
After a quick bandage, Clark was pinned to the bed by Martha.
"Just like your father, always trying to show off." Martha glared at Clark, who groaned and looked at her pitifully. Martha's heart melted, but she maintained a stern expression. After Martha left, Clark sighed.
"I always end up making things worse for my family." He looked at the ceiling, with Rune, who had just brought up breakfast, beside him.
Why do you think that way?
"Look, you cooked breakfast this morning, Dad did the farm work, and Mom even cleaned the house. I'm the only one who didn't do anything..."
Rune looked at Clark speechlessly: "I have to say, the brooms do the cleaning themselves. If we follow your logic, isn't your mother just making things worse?"
"Of course not!" Clark excitedly propped himself up, then immediately lay back down, wincing as he pulled at his wound. "Okay, maybe I'm wrong?"
"You are indeed wrong." Rune placed the plate on Clark's lap. "In this world, everyone has their own role. Your primary task now is to grow up healthily. Believe me, when you grow up, you will become the hope of the whole world. The responsibility may overwhelm you, and by then, you won't have the chance to slack off."
"Really?" Clark looked at his injured hand. His eyes held doubt and anticipation, but no fear.
"Hmm." Rune nodded.
During the day, he practiced magic, and at night, Rune began preparations for the fusion of magical beast bloodlines. In fact, this was not difficult at all. The entire ritual magic did not even require anything other than water, magic power, and blood. It was ridiculously simple. But the more Rune understood this ritual magic, the more he realized how knowledgeable Slytherin himself was.
He had visited the Slytherin statue in the Chamber of Secrets. At that time, the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets had died. After Dumbledore and the other professors confirmed that there were no other dangerous mechanisms, they opened this mysterious underground space. The most impressive thing about it, besides the basilisk's corpse and snake skin, was the Slytherin statue.
It had an old, monkey-like face, with a sparse, long beard that almost reached the hem of its stone-carved wizard's robes, and two large, gray feet standing on the smooth floor of the room. But it is said that Slytherin was very handsome in his youth, only transforming himself into this appearance after becoming obsessed with dark magic. Perhaps his appearance is a consequence of blood fusion.
Thinking about it this way, Voldemort might have also used this ritual magic, and his later appearance and powerful lethal magic also suggest that he fused with the magical creature—the basilisk. Dumbledore might have had phoenix blood; his family has always had an inextricable connection with phoenixes, and Harry's later encounter with Dumbledore, half-dead, confirms this—death was truly just an adventure for him.
But neither the phoenix nor the basilisk can compare to the bloodline that followed. It was this bloodline that created a powerful hero, the right hand of the Justice League, the savior of the world. His power can tear dimensions apart, his breath can stop a fire. He is Superman, the son of Krypton, the god of Earth.
Rune dripped his blood into the supersaturated solution of magic. The solution, which was originally blue-purple, instantly turned yellow and began to swirl. Then, Rune carefully took out a glass bead and dropped it into the solution. The glass bead turned into bright red blood, and the entire solution quickly boiled.
The wizard stared nervously at the solution before him. If the solution turned black, it meant failure. But if the solution turned into a thick, golden liquid, he would have the power to easily become a top-tier hero.
As the liquid churned, a bright gold color appeared near the top, which then spread rapidly. In no time, the entire bottle of solution turned gold. After the solution calmed down, Rune, witnessed by a sky full of stars, swallowed the liquid in one gulp.
As if he had drunk a glass of chili water, Rune felt as if his throat was on fire. Golden flames passed through his throat, seeped into his lungs, burned his heart, eroded his bones, and digested his muscles... Now, Rune's entire body was on fire.
In the flames, Rune's clothes were completely reduced to ashes, his hair was corroded by powerful magic and turned blue-purple, with what seemed to be starlight in it, his skin became crystal clear under the scorching of the flames, and his eyes turned crimson, with terrifying red energy pulsating around them and making crackling sounds.
After a long while, the terrifying energy fluctuations finally subsided. Rune glanced at his status bar, where a blue and black S icon was flashing. It would later become Superman's logo, only in a different color.
Bloodline Fusion - Superman: Your physical body and magic power have been greatly enhanced. You now have the ability to fly and can release pure magical shocks through your eyes. This talent has growth potential, and you can strengthen it by consuming energy such as solar energy and bio-energy.
Slytherin's potential is indeed limited to the limits of the world. If he came to the DC universe, he might be able to orchestrate a major event.
The only pity is that, perhaps because his weaknesses were removed, he did not gain Superman's X-ray vision, freezing breath, super brain, and other abilities. Even his heat vision was replaced by magical shock. Moreover, according to the description of ritual magic, his physical strength should also be weaker than Superman's.
Rune snatched away the surrounding flames, which instantly transformed into a red and black trench coat that he donned. The dramatic increase in magical power made him feel stronger than ever before; he felt that if he wanted, he could instantly turn an entire forest into a swamp.
Rune then took a deep breath and began to try flying. Having received training in Hogwarts' flying class, Rune quickly mastered the skills of low-altitude flight, at the cost of smashing several trees to pieces.
Along with his growing power came the desire for revenge.
