“Of course, don’t forget, you flew here. We’re a gang, but our eyes aren’t black.” Falcone smiled, though half his face was hidden in shadow. “It’s strange, isn’t it? Why are you dark wizards so fixated on Gotham?”

"Still thinking about it?" Rune scoffed. "You mean this mess that even the Ugly Kingdom's government ignores? I don't care. I'm not some dark wizard. I just happened to be born here."

"A coincidence?" Falcone chewed on his pasta, the tomato sauce staining his lips red, and glared fiercely at Rune. "Wasn't this a deliberate reincarnation in Gotham? What are you here for?"

He put down his knife and fork, stood up, and asked aggressively, "Is it slaughtering the monsters in the swamp, or that chemical lab next to the junkyard?"

"Solomon? I'm not interested in him. As for the chemistry lab... I'm a wizard, I'm not interested in that." Rune said, leisurely eating his meat. The taste was alright, passable as a late-night snack.

"So you must be after that legendary thing beneath Gotham that grants immortality." Falcone narrowed his eyes, looking down at him with an air of arrogance. "Immortality, what a beautiful word..."

"Hmph, Dionysus Factor? That stuff might have some value..." Rune said disdainfully while chewing on the meat in his mouth, "But that stuff will drive people completely mad, I don't even want it."

If Rune wants immortality, he only needs to wait until his first battle against Darkseid. The new gods are born with immortality, so he can take some of their blood and fuse with them to gain immortality without any side effects.

"Alright, having come all this way, I only have two questions for you." Rune stared directly at Falcone, a blinding light flashing in his eyes: "Answer well, and you die; answer poorly, and you'll slowly die."

"I knew I'd die after letting you go." He pulled a cell phone from his pocket. "Since that's the case, then you'll die with me!"
