After the explosion, Rune sat unharmed in his original spot. Not only was he himself intact, but even the chair he was sitting on was undamaged. However, Falcone was dead, and his death was complete. Even borrowing Lazarus's Pool from the League of Assassins would be difficult.

Rune sighed as he looked at the Falcone scattered all over the ground.

If he weren't a gangster, perhaps Rune would have used an Ironclad Curse on him at the last minute to save his life, but unfortunately, he was a gang leader, the boss of many people, and he deserved to go to hell no matter what.

However, there are still many questions surrounding his being hunted, such as who the sniper was and why Falcone always referred to himself as the Black Wizard.

Jonathan then took Rune to the town's public high school. After completing a set of simple exercises, the school directly admitted Rune. To be honest, apart from history, the rest were not difficult at all. It's hard to imagine that a country with less than two hundred years of history has so many historical figures to remember.

Before going home, Jonathan also bought a bunch of hamburgers, five servings of fries, and two custard cherry pies. These pies weren't the kind of crispy snacks that are only two fingers in size that you get at some fast food restaurants; they were food that was bigger than his face.

With one bite, the milky flavor and sweet and sour taste were a perfect match, and the custard sauce also had an ice cream-like texture. It was quite refreshing to eat such a dessert in the still slightly warm weather.

Looking at the adoption certificate in his hand, Rune was somewhat dazed. Jonathan, who was standing next to him, glanced at Rune and eased off the accelerator slightly.

"What, you're not happy about it?" Jonathan joked.
