Chapter 294 Aquaman? Green King?
Chapter 294 Sea King? Green King? (Combined Chapter)
Gotham Bay Harbor was unusually busy and bustling today. Several luxury ships from Atlantis sailed on the wide sea, their hulls shimmering with a unique blue-green light, symbolizing the high technology and prosperity of the Atlantis underwater kingdom.
They were greeted at the port by Bruce Wayne and his team. Bruce, dressed in a well-tailored black suit, stood at the front, flanked by Selena Kyle and Xiao Xian. Selena wore a gorgeous long dress, elegant and charming; Xiao Xian, in a gray suit, exuded extraordinary charisma.
Other senior executives from Wayne Enterprises and reporters from major media outlets were also present, making it a grand and solemn occasion.
While waiting at the port, Xiao Xian looked at the bustling scene around him, leaned closer to Bruce, and whispered, "Bruce, why hasn't Superman come over yet?"
Bruce echoed his doubts, "Superman said he had something come up and couldn't attend today's welcoming ceremony. It's really strange; normally he wouldn't miss such an opportunity to show his face."
"Is Superman afraid of seeing me and has completely become an environmentalist?" Xiao Xian thought to himself as he watched the slowly approaching Arlandis ship.
The ship slowly approached the shore, and Aquaman Arthur Curry and Mera stood majestically at the bow. Arthur, clad in golden armor and wielding a trident, exuded authority and solemnity; Mera, in a green bodysuit and crown, radiated nobility and elegance. Behind them followed the Atlantean delegation, each member dressed in exquisite attire and wearing a confident smile.
Xiao Xian breathed a sigh of relief as he watched Mera slowly approach. This Mera in the world was not only beautiful and had a great figure, but she was also not the Mera from the Aquaman movie. Otherwise, looking at Amber Heard's face, Xiao Xian would always think of his divorce case with his ex-husband, Captain Jack Sparrow.
Today, Mera's green bodysuit perfectly accentuated her slender and voluptuous figure. Her red hair, like burning flames, cascaded down her shoulders in waves, dazzling and captivating. Her eyes, as blue as the deep sea, possessed a mysterious and alluring charm.
Mera's every step was full of confidence and elegance, fully demonstrating the demeanor and style of the Queen of Atlantis. A gentle breeze blew, and her red hair danced in the wind, like a beautiful painting.
But the thought that the Sea King, who clearly has such a beautiful wife, still goes off to play with fish makes Xiao Xian a little unable to hold back.
Mera looked around with a smile on her face, her eyes revealing an innate confidence. As a member of the royal family and the Queen of Atlantis, Mera had a natural sense of superiority over humans.
In the eyes of the Atlanteans, land dwellers were not only backward in civilization, but also destroyed the marine environment. If it weren't for the fact that humans had superhumans like Superman, Xiao Xian, and Professor X, as well as gods like Wonder Woman, Zeus, and Thor protecting them, Atlantis would have sent troops to attack humans long ago.
Mera looked around with a smile on her face. When she realized that Superman wasn't there, her smile turned arrogant and disdainful, as if these mortals weren't worth her attention.
In Mera's eyes, only a few people in the human world, such as Superman and Xiao Xian, are enough to attract her attention. Everyone else, even Bruce Wayne, is just a businessman in Mera's eyes.
Mera believed that these ordinary people were no match for the noble bloodline of Atlantis. Her gaze swept contemptuously over the welcoming crowd, inwardly mocking the insignificance and ignorance of these mortals.
As a member of royalty, Mera inherently looked down on merchants like Bruce. If this were Atlantis, a single word from Mera could kill a merchant like Bruce, and Bruce would be grateful. As for the other laborers who worked for Bruce, they were even less likely to be respected.
Although Mera knew that in the rules of Amelia's operation, merchants held a high position and were one of the country's true ruling classes, in Mera's eyes, Amelia was just a technologically backward and dilapidated place. She only gave Amelia some face because of Superman and others.
If Mera had a king, she might barely consider him as someone of the same class as herself, but he was still part of the ruling class.
In Mera's eyes, Bruce was like a high-ranking official in other kingdoms, a high-ranking official who rose to power through commercial activities. Although he held national power, he still had to bow to her.
Just then, she noticed a human lecherously staring at her—Xiao Xian. Xiao Xian's gaze roamed over her without any attempt to conceal it, filled with admiration and praise.
A flicker of displeasure crossed Mera's eyes. She frowned and glared coldly at Xiao Xian. Her gaze was like a sharp, icy blade, filled with warning and disdain.
However, Xiao Xian didn't care about Mera's gaze. Instead, he smiled slightly and appeared very calm. Since he gained super charm, Xiao Xian's gaze has always been very direct, and he has even gotten used to it. The main reason is that the girls look at Xiao Xian more directly. Some even confess their love on the spot, and some are even more outrageous.
In addition, Mera is nothing special in Xiao Xian's eyes. She is the queen of Atlantis, and although she has a lot of plot, her status as queen is quite interesting.
Although Xiao Xian had his share of playing with queens in other worlds, those were all human queens; he had never actually tried with an Atlantean queen.
Also, Bruce's side has almost fallen too far, so even if he's exposed now, it's not a big deal.
Although Mera was displeased, she could not show it in front of the delegation and the media, so she could only continue to maintain her politeness and elegance.
As the Queen of Atlantis, it would be beneath her dignity to criticize one of Bruce Wayne's servants for looking at her with such lecherous eyes in front of Atlantean and human media.
Mera continued walking towards the welcoming party, each step exuding a regal aura. Despite some inner displeasure, she still won the attention and admiration of everyone present with her charming smile and noble demeanor.
Bruce and his team stepped forward to greet Aquaman and Mera. They smiled, shook hands, and exchanged polite greetings.
"Welcome to Gotham, Arthur, Mera," Bruce said warmly. "We are honored by your arrival."
Arthur smiled and replied, "Thank you, Bruce. We are also delighted to be here, and we hope this visit will deepen the friendship between Atlantis and humanity."
Despite her disdain, Mera smiled and nodded in front of the media: "Yes, Gotham is a fascinating city, and we look forward to working with Wayne Enterprises."
At this moment, cameras from major media outlets were all focused on this grand welcoming ceremony. Flashbulbs went off incessantly as reporters captured this historic moment.
After the formalities were completed, Aquaman led Mera and Bruce into the conference room for negotiations. The room was dimly lit; Bruce sat at the head of the table, with Aquaman and Mera on either side. The atmosphere was tense, and Mera's eyes were filled with suspicion and wariness.
After discovering that her husband was consistently favoring Bruce, Mera, sensing something was amiss, asked directly, "Bruce, I'm curious, what exactly do you know about Arthur that makes him so biased towards you?"
Upon hearing this, Aquaman immediately looked at Bruce with pleading eyes, as if begging him not to reveal the secret.
Mera continued without compromise, "If you don't tell me what you have against Arthur, I will never help him, and I will never agree to the cooperation between Atlantis and the Wayne Group."
Bruce calmly took out several photos from his briefcase and pushed them in front of Mera. In the photos, Aquaman and several fish were engaged in an intimate "card game," a scene that was extremely awkward and unbearable.
After Mera read it, a look of shock and disgust flashed in her eyes. She exclaimed, "Arthur, you're disgusting!"
Aquaman lowered his head helplessly, his voice pleading, "Mera, I know I was wrong, please forgive me."
Bruce, however, said calmly:
"Mera, you and Aquaman are now in the same boat. If these photos are released, Aquaman will lose his title as King of Atlantis. And if Aquaman loses his title, or if you divorce him, then without your title as Queen, you will have no way to continue ruling Atlantis and will only be able to return to the Kingdom of Xebel as a princess without real power."
Mera glared angrily at Aquaman and said coldly, "Arthur, I will never let you touch me again in this lifetime."
Then, she turned to Bruce, her tone icy: "I'll offer limited assistance, but you must destroy all the photographic material and promise never to use it to threaten us again. Otherwise, this deal is off."
"I promise," Bruce nodded solemnly.
"I need more reliable guarantees. You land people are despicable and shameless. We must sign an ancient contract."
Bruce frowned slightly, but quickly regained his composure: "An ancient contract? What do you mean?"
Mera took out an ancient parchment scroll from a storage item she carried with her. The scroll was covered with intricate runes and characters. She spread the parchment out on the table and pointed to the contract, saying:
"This is a magical contract passed down through generations in Atlantis, used to guarantee the promises of both parties. As long as we sign this contract and swear an oath, those who break it will be severely punished by the Sea God."
Bruce examined the scroll of parchment carefully. Although he didn't fully understand the runes on it, he knew it was something extremely solemn and sacred to Mera. He nodded. "Okay, we'll sign."
Aquaman stood aside, watching all of this with a complex expression.
Mera took out a specially made quill pen, dipped it in special ink, and handed it to Bruce: "You sign first."
Bruce took the quill, pondered for a moment, and then signed his name on the contract. He then handed the quill to Mera. Mera looked at Bruce's signature, a hint of satisfaction flashing in her eyes, and then also signed her name on the contract.
Aquaman finally picked up the quill pen, remained silent for a moment, and then signed his name on the contract.
After the signing was completed, both parties swore an oath in the name of the sea god. Following the ceremony, Mera rolled up the parchment and put it back in her small bag. She looked coldly at Bruce: "Now, your promise is binding. I hope you will keep your word."
Bruce nodded: "I will keep my promise."
"I will assist Arthur; you two can discuss the details yourselves. I don't want to spend another second with you, you despicable human, or that half-human, half-fish bastard!"
Mera stood up and slapped Aquaman across the face before turning and leaving the conference room. Aquaman sighed helplessly and could only watch her leave.
After Mera left, Aquaman sat dejectedly in a chair, covering his face with his hands and sighing deeply, "Bruce, can you help me? Please talk to Mera and hope she can forgive me."
Bruce frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and then said, "Arthur, I can't do anything about this. Who told you to go to the aquarium to 'play with the fish'?"
Upon hearing this, Aquaman sighed helplessly again, his eyes filled with regret: "Mera will never forgive me in this lifetime."
Bruce glanced at Aquaman. The discord between Aquaman and Mera wasn't good for him, especially since he'd been forced to sign an agreement that would prevent him from using that to threaten Aquaman in the future. With a quick thought, Bruce said:
"It's not entirely impossible. I have a way that might get Mera to forgive you."
Upon hearing this, Aquaman's eyes immediately lit up: "What method? Bruce, I'm willing to do anything to get Mera to forgive me."
Bruce Wayne smiled calmly: "That's easy. Make her make a mistake about the same size as yours. That way, she won't have much right to criticize you."
Aquaman paused for a moment, then said, "A bigger mistake? But the problem is that Mera is cautious and rarely makes mistakes. And even if she does make a mistake, what mistake could possibly compare to mine?"
Bruce's smile deepened upon hearing this: "In your Atlantean eyes, which is lower, a human or a fish?"
Aquaman said awkwardly, "In the eyes of most Atlanteans, fish are probably cleaner than humans."
Bruce Wayne then asked, "And what about in Mera's eyes?"
Aquaman thought for a moment, then said in a deep voice, "In Mera's eyes, humans and fish are not even on the same level. She absolutely hates humans more. To tell you the truth, because of my half-human blood, she still refuses to sleep with me. Are you saying I'm crazy for not playing with such a beautiful wife and instead playing with fish? I'm the one at home who won't let me play with fish!"
Bruce nodded: "I think if Mera doesn't allow it, you don't need to go to the aquarium, even if you go to the traffic lights. In short, if Mera has something happen with a human, she won't have the right to criticize you anymore."
Aquaman's expression became complicated; clearly, this plan shocked and was difficult for him to accept. He looked at Bruce Wayne in astonishment and said:
"But is this really appropriate? Me, letting a human do something with my wife?! Is what Bruce said online true? Have you really become an environmentalist?"
Bruce felt a little embarrassed by Aquaman's words, but this only strengthened his resolve to get rid of Aquaman. He figured if his older brother didn't laugh and his younger brother said, "Never mind that, just tell me if this method will work or not? Or do you have a better way?"
"Well... but... let me think about it some more." Aquaman said, looking very conflicted. He really didn't want to do this, but it seemed like there was really no other way.
Mera, the Sea King, hasn't even tasted the first soup herself, yet she wants others to taste the blandness first? If she were ugly, that would be one thing, but Mera is such a beautiful woman, with a queenly aura.
Aquaman is Aquaman, not Green King. Who can stand this except Bruce? Aquaman thought to himself, looking at Bruce's excited face, "The rumors on the internet must be true. Bruce has definitely let Bin and his wife Selena get together. I wonder if I can get Bruce to do the same."
