Chapter 374 Goodbye, my girl!

Inside the warehouse laboratory, time ticked by.

The night wind kept blowing in through the blasted wall, gradually dispersing the thick smoke from the explosion.

Hank Pym stood by Hope's side, his brow furrowed.

Hope's gaze never left the broken hole in the wall for even a second.

"He'll be alright, won't he?" Hope murmured softly, as if asking her father, or perhaps trying to comfort herself.

Pym sighed, patted his daughter on the back, and tried to comfort her.

"Be patient, Hope. No news is often the best news."

Despite saying that, old Pym was just as anxious inside.

He didn't create the Ant-Man suit for killing, so it wasn't equipped with any additional weapon systems, putting him at a disadvantage against Darren's Wasp suit.

The father and daughter waited in a suffocating silence.

Suddenly, a strange noise came from outside the hole in the wall.

Hope and Pym tensed up instantly, looking nervously in the direction from which the sound came.

The next second, a figure wearing yellow and black armor appeared out of thin air, growing larger from a distance of five meters.

The moment they saw who it was, the two felt as if they had fallen into an ice cellar.

It's Darren Krause.

Darren's mask slowly rose, revealing the face that Hope found utterly repulsive.

His gaze swept calmly over the father and daughter hiding behind the cover.

"It was a tough battle," Darren said with a smug smile. "I have to admit, Hank, the young man you found is much more tenacious than I imagined."

"Where's Daniel? What did you do to him?" Hope's breathing became rapid as she stared intently at Darren.

Darren sighed softly, shook his head, and feigned regret.

"It is with great regret that I tell you that he fought to the very last moment to protect you. His courage is admirable, but courage cannot make up for the difference in strength."

"He's dead, Hope. Dead in the wilderness." He spread his hands, proclaiming this cruel verdict.

"No...you're lying!"

Tears welled up in Hope's eyes. She struggled to her feet, but fell again due to the sharp pain in her ankle. She desperately tried to rush out again, but Pym held her down firmly.

"Calm down, Hope! There's no point in acting impulsively!" Pym said, his face full of self-reproach and guilt.

"Accept reality, Hope." Darren took a step forward. "Now, no one can protect you. But I'm not one to forget the past."

He opened his arms, making a gesture of tolerance.

"Hank, you're old, your era is over. But Hope, you're young, you have limitless potential."

Darren looked directly into Hope's hateful eyes. "Come back to me, Hope. If you're willing to humble yourself, there's still a place for you at Pym Technologies. We can change the world together."

"You're dreaming!" Hope gritted her teeth, her grief turning into a raging inferno.

"You cold-blooded murderer! I'd rather die than breathe the same sky as you!"

Faced with Hopnin's unyielding attitude, Darren's smile slowly faded.

"That's a shame. I gave you a chance, Hope."

"Hand over the formula for the Pym Particles, Hank. I guarantee you and your daughter will die a painless death..."

"Impossible!" Hope retorted first, her eyes showing no fear of death. "Even if we die here, you'll never get it! Daniel won't have died in vain, the Starr Corporation and Walter won't let you get away with this!"

Darren shrugged indifferently.

"What? That's a matter for later. Since you're so stubborn..."

"Then I'll send you to hell first to meet that kid named Daniel, and then I'll have a leisurely chat with your father."

The laser cannon's muzzle relentlessly locked onto Hope's forehead.

Hope opened her eyes wide, raised her head high, and faced the deadly light, ready to die.

"I've come to find you, Daniel," she murmured to herself.

Pym looked at Darren's smug face, then at his daughter who was on the verge of death beside him.

He quietly pulled out a high-concentration Pym particle bomb with his left hand.

Once the detonation switch is pressed, everything within a radius of fifty meters will instantly collapse into a subatomic state without restriction.

To die together with him was the only solution he could think of.

He had already lost Janet, and if he lost his daughter as well, there would be no point in living.

Goodbye, Hope. I'll miss you...

Darren didn't finish his sentence.

A red figure suddenly appeared in the shadows behind him!

Before Darren could react, a pair of arms tightly gripped his neck, pulling him violently backward.

"Chirp—!"

The two deadly lasers missed their mark, leaving two dark holes in the wall diagonally above.

"Daniel!" Hope and old Pym exclaimed in surprise at the same time.

Daniel's mask was half-open, revealing his deathly pale face. Blood was seeping from his forehead, and his battle suit was covered with charred cracks, clearly indicating serious injuries.

"Let me go!" Darren struggled violently, repeatedly striking Daniel's ribs with his elbows.

"Cough cough... I told you... I wouldn't let him hurt you!"

Daniel coughed repeatedly, and the arm holding Darren began to tremble uncontrollably.

Clearly, his strength was severely depleted, and he was gradually losing control of the berserk Darren.

"Go! Hope! Take your father away!" Daniel roared with all his might.

"No! I will never leave you!" Hope, dragging her injured leg, tried to rush over to help.

"stop!"

Daniel stopped Hope, who was about to step forward.

He gazed intently at her, as if trying to etch her image into the depths of his soul.

Meeting you is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me.

"I don't care what the world becomes, I only care about you."

As Daniel spoke, he used his last bit of strength to reach for the regulator on his waist.

"Live well, Hope. Take my share with you..."

"No! Don't! Don't touch that regulator!" Pym saw through his intention and shouted in terror.

"Once the restrictions are lifted, you will shrink infinitely to the subatomic level, and you will never be able to return!"

"No! Daniel! What are you doing?!" Hope rushed forward in alarm to stop him.

But at this moment, Darren finally broke free from Daniel's grasp and punched Daniel with his backhand.

"Goodbye, my girl!" Daniel released the regulator's safety restrictions without hesitation and shrunk to the limit.

It went inside Darren's suit by following his fist.

After Daniel disappeared, Darren turned around, and the laser emitter was once again aimed at Hope, who was struggling to rush over.
