Become a Homelander and a Marvel superstar

Chapter 498 Our Plan is Simple

"Retreat! Retreat!" Star-Lord gave the order to evacuate.

Drax kicked Blackdwarf aside and turned to run away.

Groot swung the tree roots to sweep away the pursuers and followed closely behind.

Thor also picked up the listless Loki from the ground and followed the others back towards the spaceship.

Seeing this, Proxima Midnight turned its spear and charged straight at Thor.

She would not allow the clues to the Cosmic Cube to escape.

"Don't forget our goal!" Rocket shouted as he ran.

Star-Lord understood immediately.

He suddenly stopped in mid-air, turned his gun around, and fired wildly at Proxima Midnight, who was preparing to give chase.

He even sarcastically remarked, "Hey! That... midnight pole dancing! Look here!"

"Um... I just wanted to ask, does that long tube you're holding have a heating function?"

Proxima Midnight was enraged and abandoned Thor, turning its attention to Star-Lord.

She swiftly swung her spear, accurately deflecting the energy blast Star-Lord fired at her.

Just as she was about to throw her spear in retaliation.

The ever-low-profile Mantis Woman has found a perfect opportunity.

With a powerful leap, she climbed up Proxima Centauri's neck like a nimble cat.

He quickly reached out and pressed down on the top of her head.

"Sleep now!" A faint light shone from the antennae on her forehead.

The movement of Proxima Centauri abruptly stopped, and its eyelids drooped uncontrollably.

The female warrior, who was fierce and menacing just a second ago, suddenly collapsed to the ground with her legs giving way.

He fell into a deep sleep.

"Well done, Mantis!"

Rocket shouted in approval, then turned and yelled at Thor, who was charging towards him, "Take that woman with you, Thor. She's our prize!"

Thor heard the shout and didn't hesitate.

He rushed straight to Proxima Midnight and grabbed her by the collar of her armor.

Then, with Loki in one hand and Proxima Centauri in the other, he leaped into the air with a burst of power and landed steadily on the spaceship's platform.

"Everyone boarded! Let's go!" Star-Lord shouted as he landed last inside the hatch.

The woman immediately turned and walked towards the cockpit, slamming the control stick.

The engine roared and the exhaust flames burst forth.

It instantly broke through the sky above the arena.

The angry, roaring guards and the furious High Priest could only watch them leave from afar.

Inside the spaceship.

Thor casually tossed Loki and Proxima Midnight onto the deck inside the cabin, then strode toward the cockpit.

The woman was sitting in the pilot's seat, controlling the spaceship with one hand and drinking from a bottle with the other.

Saul grabbed the woman's arm and turned her around.

"You kidnapped me, and now you're here to rescue me. What exactly is your purpose?" Thor stared at her and questioned.

The woman impatiently shook off Saul's hand.

Thor's gaze suddenly fell on the tattoo that was showing on the inside of her forearm.

His eyes widened, and Thor looked on in astonishment.

"That battle crest...you are a Valkyrie."

Valkyries, the most elite and legendary female legion in Asgard.

"I thought all the Valkyries had perished in the war against the enemy."

Thor's tone became complicated, tinged with anger and confusion.

"The Valkyries have sworn allegiance to the Asgardian royal family. I am Odin's son! You know my identity, so why are you treating me like this?"

"The Valkyries are all dead! Killed by your sister Hela. Because of Odin's orders."

Brunhilde glanced at him and said coldly.

"Right now, I am simply Brunhilde!"

"Sister? What sister?"

Thor stood there, stunned, his eyes filled with confusion.

"I am Odin's eldest son, are you mistaken? I don't have any older sister," Thor said doubtfully.

Brunhilde chuckled and tilted her head back to gulp down a mouthful of wine.

"Whatever... hiccup!" She wiped her mouth. "I don't want to get involved in your family affairs anymore. Those Asgardian messes have nothing to do with me anymore."

She turned back to continue operating the spaceship.

"I'm just doing this for money now; these guys pay me to drive the boat. I'm also tired of this garbage planet and want to get out and explore."

"Don't talk to me about oaths and loyalty, that's bullshit."

After saying that, she ignored Saul.

At this moment, Thor's mind was also in complete chaos.

Hela, Odin's sister? His orders?

He realized that he seemed to know nothing about his father, Odin.

They also don't know the history of Asgard, which obviously holds many secrets.

He suddenly remembered the man from the homeland who had been made a god by Odin and even given him the Spear of Eternity.

Is it...

A sudden idea flashed in Thor's mind.

Is Hela also Odin's illegitimate daughter?

Yes, that's very likely.

Now that a Homelander with extraordinary abilities has already emerged, it doesn't seem surprising that an illegitimate daughter would appear as well.

Thinking about this, Thor felt that his logic was perfect.

He looked at Brunhilde, who was drinking alone, and felt that the atmosphere was rather somber.

As a prince of Asgard, he felt it necessary to ease his relationship with the surviving Valkyrie.

"Um... actually, when I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a Valkyrie when I grew up."

Saul grinned, trying to break the ice with humor.

"Until later, I found out they were all women."

Brunhilde didn't even turn her head; she just kept drinking, as if Thor didn't exist.

Okay, maybe I'm not good at telling jokes.

Thor awkwardly scratched his head and walked out of the cockpit, feeling embarrassed.

Just as the cockpit door closed, a soft laugh rang out.

……

Inside the capsule, the Guardians of the Galaxy were surrounding Proxima Midnight, holding her firmly in place with specially made shackles.

Star-Lord breathed a sigh of relief: "Finally caught this woman."

Thor walked over and looked at the group of familiar faces.

"Hey guys, thanks for coming to my rescue," Thor said sincerely.

Then, scanning the crowd, I noticed that one person was missing.

"Where's that green-skinned woman?" Saul asked.

Star-Lord's eyes dimmed at the mention of that name.

"Gamora's been kidnapped," Rocket Raccoon replied, jumping onto a box. "Thanos did it!"

"Thanos? It's him again?"

Thor frowned even more; he'd heard that name far too often lately.

"That's right! It's that guy whose chin looks like an egg!" Star-Lord's eyes were filled with rage.

"We followed his spaceship all the way to this star system, only to be caught in a wormhole and crash onto this planet."

The Rockets picked up where they left off and continued:

"When we were gathering intelligence on Sakaar, we heard that Thanos's henchmen were also active there."

"I also watched your game. To be honest, it was pretty good! I won quite a bit of money."

Rocket patted Thor on the shoulder and laughed, "By the way, that chaff and flare you used was one I sold to your brother on the black market."

"Handmade, quality guaranteed, honest and trustworthy."

"So, you captured this woman to deal with Thanos?" Thor kicked Proxima Midnight at his feet.

"This woman is one of Thanos's trusted lieutenants, one of the Black Order." Rocket Raccoon cocked his gun and sneered. "Our plan is simple... use her to trade for Gamora."
