Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 603 Should we purify our souls?

As Lynn watched the bat-winged creature soar into the sky, he couldn't help but feel a sense of longing.

If we could catch just one of these, wouldn't we be able to dominate the wizarding world?!

Unfortunately, the true spirit was still too far away for him.

Lynn continued to follow behind Sersi, and the two left the teleportation area and headed towards the Bone Spire.

The remaining few Holy Marks also left the teleportation hall one after another, scattering in different directions.

Only the apprentices and low-level wizards who had not yet fully processed what they had just seen remained in the teleportation hall.

A young apprentice spoke first, his voice still tinged with barely suppressed excitement:

"Holy crap—did you guys see that? Lord Lynn took on twenty-three Stigmata-level enemies all by himself! And he even drove them away!"

The person next to him chimed in, "Didn't you see the demons he took in? A whole bunch! Thirteen Saint-level demons! And he managed to suppress them!"

Another person chimed in:

"Just how many Saint-level combatants does he have under his command? Those two, that three-headed dragon, and those who appeared at the beginning—they're all formidable!"

"We still don't know how much more is hidden in his domain. If he can suppress thirteen holy marks, his hidden power is probably quite considerable."

"You know what, Lord Lynn is so unassuming, who would have thought he was hiding his true abilities so deeply? There are probably twenty Saint Marks within his domain, aren't there?"

The first person shook his head: "I don't know, but it's definitely more than what he's taken out now."

One person remarked, "When he came back surrounded by so many big shots, I thought he was going to die here today."

"Then he pulled out a photographic stone, which completely stunned the entire audience."

The person next to him nodded: "Who would have thought that Instructor Marfa would collude with the Chaos Egg? She's been keeping a low profile all these years, avoiding action whenever possible. Why did she suddenly make such a big move?"

The other person lowered their voice:

"Master Marfa is low-key, but she's the kind of person who's ruthless the more low-key she is. She hasn't made a move all these years just because there hasn't been a suitable opportunity."

Someone whispered, "But Instructor Marfa is the chief after all, and she's accumulated a lot of power over the years. Her apprentices and deacons are scattered throughout the academy. Won't they cause trouble in the future?"

The person next to him shook his head: "What's all the fuss about? The evidence of her collusion with the Chaos Egg has been made public. Who would dare to stand up for her? The Dean is already being lenient by not investigating them."

"Besides... Lord Lynn is no pushover. If he could be tripped up by these apprentices and deacons, he wouldn't be Lord Lynn."

At this moment, one of the apprentices said slyly, "Do you think... the vice dean called Lynn over alone, could there be some... incestuous relationship?"

Upon hearing this, everyone around changed their expressions and scattered immediately.

Good grief, they really dare to say such stupid things.

What if those powerful figures with holy marks didn't go far and heard this? Wouldn't they just use witchcraft to wipe them out?

...

Meanwhile, Lynn followed Cersei to her office, where Cersei pushed open the door and went in first.

Her movements were natural, and she showed no wariness towards Lynn.

She sat down behind the table and gestured with her chin toward the chair opposite her: "Sit."

Lynn sat down opposite her without any hesitation, as if she were at home.

This is my beloved master's wife, who has taken great care of me since I was an apprentice. How could she possibly be against me?

Cersei leaned back in her chair, resting her hands on the armrests, her gaze fixed on Lynn's face: "You're such a worry."

Her tone wasn't harsh, as if she was already used to it: "She's been causing trouble everywhere since her apprentice days. Now that she's advanced to Saint Mark, she's still a troublemaker. She killed the academy's chief instructor with her first move."

Lynn's expression shifted slightly at that moment, his tone carrying just the right amount of innocence:

"Master's wife, you saw it too. It's not that I wanted to cause trouble; it's Marfa who wanted to deal with me. I was forced to fight back. I can't just surrender, can I?"

Cersei glanced at him but didn't reply.

Then she spoke: "Where is Marfa's soul? Did you put it away?"

Lynn's expression remained unchanged: "My soul was corrupted after Marfa activated that ring."

"The situation was urgent at the time, and I didn't have time to hold back. I hit her so hard that her soul was destroyed, and now only a corpse remains."

Cersei stared at him for a few moments, her gaze lingering on his face as if trying to discern the true nature of that innocent expression.

"real?"

Lynn nodded seriously: "Really."

Cersei leaned back in her chair, shifting her gaze from his face to the table:

"Marfa is of great value to the Academy, and the Academy is willing to pay a high price to retrieve Marfa's body and soul."

"If you are willing to hand it over, the college will offer you a satisfactory reward."

Hand over Malpha to revive the academy?

Lynn had finally managed to kill her, so she dared not give the enemy another chance to revive; wouldn't that just be making things difficult for herself?

Lynn thought for a moment and said, "How about a purified soul?"

Cersei's brow twitched slightly: "A purified soul."

The purified soul lost all its memories and consciousness, leaving only an empty shell.

It's fine as a material, but it's impossible to revive Malfa with it.

Lynn nodded: "Yes, it's the purified version. I've already purified Marfa's soul."

Cersei paused for a moment, then gave him a deep look: "Forget about the purified version, you can keep it for yourself."

Seeing that Sercy had given up, Lynn began to think of ways to benefit himself:

"Well, Master's wife, I was ambushed by my own holy marks and an evil wizard this time, and barely escaped with my life. Doesn't the academy have any compensation for me?"

Cersei glared at him: "You ran out and got surrounded, what does that have to do with the academy? You expect compensation for this?"

Lynn said with some regret, "Shouldn't you compensate me for Marfa's legacy and laboratory? It would be some solace for my young heart."

After a moment's thought, Cecily replied, "I will apply to the academy to give you Marfa's laboratory and some of his legacy. There shouldn't be any problem."

Lynn's expression relaxed a bit: "That's alright, at least it wasn't a complete waste of time."

Cersei changed the subject: "By the way, the academy needs your method for breaking the Seven Chaos Formations."

"That formation is the signature technique of the Chaos Egg. Many people have been trapped by it before, and no one has ever been able to break through it from the inside."

Without hesitation, Lynn raised his right hand, and a grayish-white light condensed in the air, forming an array in mid-air, marking the positions of eight nodes and the order of severance.

He pointed to the nodes while explaining the key points for breaking the formation.

Which nodes must be cut simultaneously to cause the three layers of array patterns to collapse at the same time? How to locate the position of the eighth hidden node?

Cersei listened attentively, nodding occasionally to confirm the location of the nodes.

(I'm taking the kids out to play, I'll post the other chapter later, sorry!)
