He barely managed to lift his head and saw his own guard captain, Iron Fang, standing in front of him.

The taciturn head guard still held a short sword in his hand, his back ramrod straight.

"Young clan leader, it's alright now," Tieya said.

Lin Chen didn't say anything.

He lay on the ground, his whole body trembling violently.

It wasn't out of fear, but because in that instant, he knew he had almost died.

But before he died, all he saw were his family members, which made him realize what his most precious possession was.

Seeing that Lin Chen was alright, Tieya turned around and took a step forward.

The big man only saw a figure flash before his eyes, then felt a sharp pain in his chest, and was sent flying, crashing into the base of the wall.

Iron Fang's movements were so fast that the people around him didn't even see how he drew his sword.

The other adventurers tried to resist, but Iron Fang quickly defeated them all, knocking them to the ground with his sword.

He first ran back into the crowd to look for Lin Yao, but as the crowd dispersed, the place where the two of them had just stood was empty, and there was no sign of Lin Yao.

"Yaoyao?" Lin Chen called out.

No one answered.

He looked around; the street was crowded with people, but there was no sign of his sister.

"Yaoyao! Yaoyao, where are you!" Lin Chen called out again, his voice becoming urgent.

Tieya also came over at this moment. Seeing Lin Chen shouting loudly, his expression changed: "Where is Miss?"

"I just went to help, and told her to wait for me where she was." Lin Chen's voice was tight. "In just a short while, she disappeared."

The vein on Tieya's forehead throbbed.
