Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 28 Meeting, Alliance of Two Kepps

As night fell, many lights remained on inside the Max Pharmaceuticals building.

At 9 p.m., the glass doors at the company entrance slowly opened, and Makijima Agito, still wearing his black school uniform, walked out with his hands in his pockets.

A black luxury car was already parked at the entrance. The butler, Onuma Kohei, stood respectfully beside the car. As Makishima approached, he immediately stepped forward and opened the car door: "Young Master Makishima."

Makijima nodded slightly and was about to bend down to get into the car when a sharp electric current suddenly shot through his shoulder blades—it was a telepathic message received by Kep's implantation organization, directly entering his mind: "Go to the abandoned warehouse at the end of Pingshan Trail outside the western suburbs. I'll be waiting for you there."

This abandoned warehouse was the very place where Kronos had sent its Zoanoid soldiers to kidnap the Segawa siblings. Located in the desolate outskirts of the western town, surrounded by abandoned factories and barren mountains, it was a secluded and deserted place. Tsubasa Kanno used this location to make contact with Agito Makijima.

Makijima abruptly stopped, his brow furrowing slightly. "This is... a unique method of communication between the Kepp members?"

He instantly realized, "This voice definitely isn't Fukamachi Akira's. Could it be... the third activated Kep?!"

"West Suburb Warehouse, could this be a trap?" But arrogant and conceited as he was, he never took any potential opponents seriously. Even knowing the risks ahead, he felt no fear after gaining control of Kep's power.

He leaned back in his chair, his arrogant expression returning, and instructed Onuma Kohei, "Kohei, change course and go to the abandoned warehouse outside the western suburbs."

"Yes, Master Makishima." Onuma Kohei didn't ask any further questions, walked around to the driver's seat, and started the car. The black sedan sped through the night, and after more than half an hour, it arrived at the abandoned warehouse in the western suburbs.

"Planting!" The arrogant but cautious Makijima Agito finished planting outside. The black Cap 3 walked into the warehouse alone. The warehouse was pitch black, with only sparse moonlight leaking through the broken roof.

Just as they reached the center of the warehouse, a figure suddenly emerged from the shadows—the dark yellow KAP suit shimmered faintly in the moonlight; it was none other than KAP No. 2, the outfit worn by Tsubasa Kamino.

For a moment, two bio-armored suits, one yellow and one black, stood facing each other, their eye sensors emitting pale blue and yellow light respectively in the darkness, forming a clear boundary.

"Who are you?" Makijima spoke first, staring at the dark yellow figure opposite him. "What is your purpose in deliberately leading me here?"

"My purpose is..." Kamino Tsubasa's slightly distorted voice came through Kep's mask, his calm tone causing a thunderclap, "of course it's the same as yours—to overthrow Chronos, Mr. Zeus."

"Zeus?!" Upon hearing this name, Makijima's expression changed drastically. He took a step forward, his voice filled with shock and scrutiny, "Who are you? How could you possibly know this name?"

A storm raged in Makijima's heart.

The name Cronus is derived from Cronus, the second generation of gods in Greek mythology who ruled the world. Zeus, on the other hand, is the name of the new king of the gods who ultimately overthrew his father Cronus's tyrannical rule and ascended the throne of Olympus.

The decision to use "Zeus" as his future codename symbolizes Makijima's ambitious goal of overthrowing the Chronos organization and taking its place!

He kept this secret deep in his heart, never revealing it even to the Onuma grandfather and grandson who treated him like family. And this stranger, Kepp, had somehow managed to pinpoint his most hidden secret!

This was precisely what Tsubasa Kanno intended. Faced with an ambitious and ruthless schemer like Agito Makijima, the only way to succeed was to strike at his core secret, instill fear in him, and force him to temporarily set aside his scheming and sit down to discuss cooperation.

"For now, our goals are aligned: to weaken Kronos's power in Japan, right?"

Without answering his question, Kamino Tsubasa continued, "So, if there are no problems, I'll need to trouble you, an outstanding officer of Kronos, to provide more information about the various action teams in the near future."

He emphasized the words "outstanding cadre".

"Why should I believe you?" Makijima Agito quickly calmed down and regained his composure. "With someone like you who hides his face and doesn't even dare to show his true colors?"

"Just because we're both Kepp, and both are being hunted by Kronos."

Ignoring his provocation, Kamino Tsubasa slowly said, "Moreover, I know your deep-seated rebellious heart, yet I haven't chosen to report you, have I? Richard Geo doesn't seem like the kind of person who would be magnanimous towards a traitor."

This statement precisely struck at Makijima's weak point.

He knew full well that the other party's answer was both a testament to his trust and a blatant threat.

He knew all too well how cruel the Kronos organization was to rebels, and at present, he was not ready to directly incite a rebellion.

After a few seconds of silence, Makijima's thoughts raced, and he finally made up his mind:

"Since we share the same goal, let's cooperate for now. But let's make it clear beforehand that I will only provide intelligence and will not participate in the operation for the time being."

"No problem, let's officially begin tomorrow."

Kamino Tsubasa nodded slightly, then added with a hint of teasing, "If you have any information, you can just contact them via telepathy. With your intelligence, you should have already mastered this basic ability of Kapp by now..."

Thus, in this secluded abandoned warehouse, two Kep armor users, each with their own agenda but sharing the same goal, formally formed a temporary alliance.

For the next week, the night became the best cover for Tsubasa Kamino.

Through the core intelligence of Kronos that was constantly updated by the Jaw Man of the Maki Island, he was able to mark the locations of various Kronos strongholds, the deployment of the Zoanoids, and the search range and fixed routes of each action team on the unfolded map.

Looking at the specially made map filled with densely packed points and routes, he seemed to rediscover the joy of clearing mission points when he played the Canned Food game back in the day.

Inside the old factory building that was converted into a garrison of a beastmen squad, a dark yellow bio-suit flashed by like a phantom and silently sneaked into the dormitory. Five beastmen who were still asleep had their throats slashed by the azure blade of the high-frequency sword before they even opened their eyes.

In the material transfer warehouse in the suburbs, KEP-2 easily avoided the patrol and guard routes, casually pried open one side of the chest armor, and a high-energy Mega Particle Cannon shot out, turning Kronos's important supply materials into ashes in the high temperature.

On the mountain road, a Kronos troop carrier was returning under the cover of night when Tsubasa Kamino suddenly leaped out from the shadows of the roadside bushes. His head laser beam precisely punctured the tires, causing the out-of-control vehicle to come to a swerve stop. The beastmen who had disembarked had not yet fully transformed when he swiftly finished them off with a "Super Heavy Pressure Cannon," turning them into a shower of blood...
