Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Charles threw a torch over, and a series of squeaking sounds immediately came from the other side.

"Hold on, hero!" The Furu's attitude changed instantly, and they even floated towards Xia Er.

"Why?" Furu asked.

"Let it fight those rats," Charles said, offering his opinion.

"We haven't tried it." The furoos' eye stalks darted around, and their whiskers turned green.

Seeing their curiosity, Charles encouraged Furu, smiling innocently, "It's a lot of fun, you can try it."

The Furu swung their green tentacles, their eye stalks met, and then they began to use telepathy on the brain golem.

The brain golem that was still punching itself gradually stopped, got up from the ground, and after the fleshy buds on its head twitched a few times, it turned and walked towards the passage. The Furu followed behind, their tentacles all a deep green. Charles immediately ordered his men to spread out further, so as not to be caught in the crossfire.

As expected, when the brain demon entered the passage, the rats automatically dispersed and did not attack it.

But immediately the brain demon stomped on several skull rats, turning them into "rat pancakes".

"Well done," Charles applauded the Furu.

As the brain golem crushed more and more skull rats, the rat swarm finally began to stir. They squeaked and stopped avoiding it, instead jumping onto the brain golem's feet to bite.

Immediately afterwards, as if receiving a unified command, the swarm of rats attacked the brain golem, climbing up its body like a tide and tearing at it everywhere.

The brain demon waved its hand, grabbed several skull rats, squeezed them, and blood spurted out. Then it tore them off its body again.

Looking at the brain demon statue completely covered by rats, Charles ordered, "Red Eyes, bring your men over and throw the torches here."

Fearing that the rats would go berserk and run out of the passage, he specifically ordered his men to block the road with torches.

"Don't rush in yourself," he specifically instructed Chi Mu, fearing that this reckless man might act impulsively.

Inside the passage, the stench of blood grew stronger, and the squeaking never stopped. Accompanied by the heavy thuds of blows, the two sides were locked in a fierce battle, fighting to the death.

As Charles gazed into the passage, his vigilance shifted, while doubts arose about the Mind Flayer at the end of the passage.

Both the Brain Golem and the Skull Rat swarm are powerful; either one could severely injure a goblin, yet they are now strangely killing each other.

Even if this was the result of him using Furu's telepathic abilities to instigate it, Ciel didn't believe that the Mind Flayer was unaware of what was happening here, or why it hadn't intervened and simply watched it all unfold.

"What exactly does he want to do?" Charles frowned.

After a while, the battle in the passage was nearing its end. The brain golem finally collapsed to the ground, and there weren't many rats left. Charles ordered his men to wipe them out and kill the remaining skull rats.

He then instructed his men to take the gongs and gongs, while he checked the weapons again.

A minute later, everything was ready. Charles turned to Furu and asked, "Are you coming in together?"

"No, we won't go." The furoos' eyelids swayed wildly.

"This bandit has gone mad; there's a mind-stealer inside!"

The furluts' whiskers turned a deep, angry red, yet they desperately tried to dissuade Ciel in their minds.

Charles looked at the group of hypocritical, round figures, said nothing, and followed his men into the passage.

"Tap tap tap," a few soft tapping sounds, and a gray-black human hand bone followed and ran inside.

The passage is about ten meters long and goes downhill. It looks like it was dug out and was not paved with stone bricks.

At the end was a small stone chamber, but five meters high.

The stone chamber was dimly lit, and the mushrooms growing on the walls emitted a pale blue glow, making the entire space even more eerie.

On the ground were pools of white slime, and in the very center was a pool made of various pieces of meat, filled with a viscous liquid that emitted a strange smell. Several tadpoles swam in and out of the liquid, and above the pool floated a huge white brain with several constantly trembling red tentacles at the bottom.

The brain glows red inside, like a beating heart, and occasionally a current flashes across its tentacles.

"Be careful, everyone." Charles ordered his men to be on guard, as the enemy could attack at any moment.

"Pat-pat-pat," a footstep sounded from behind the giant brain.

As Charles looked over, a Mind Flayer, standing 1.8 meters tall, wearing a black high-necked robe and with a slender figure, emerged from the darkness with his hands behind his back.

"Hehehe." His octopus-like pale purple head emitted a muffled laugh, the four winding tentacles on his mouth twitched, and his white eyes scanned the goblin in front of him.

"You've finally arrived. You've kept me waiting for so long."
