Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Chapter 51 The Little Comedian's Legacy [Please Read, Add to Favorites, and Recommend!]

Name: Furu

[Race: Monster]

[Danger Level: 2, Not Bad]

[Personality: Cute but timid]

"Is this the 'little goofball from the ruins' that the book talks about?" Ciel chuckled.

He discovered that the creature floating in front of him was Furu, one of the very few creatures in the underground ruins that was friendly to adventurers, as specifically marked in the Natural History.

These creatures are named for the "fufu" sound they emit from below. Although they cannot speak, they communicate through telepathy. They are also intelligent and learned beings who love religion, philosophy, mathematics, and other strange and wonderful knowledge.

They are very sensitive to the emotional changes of the creatures around them, and what is most interesting is their whiskers. Furu will reflect their thoughts in color changes: light pink is joy, dark blue is sadness, green is curiosity, and dark red is anger.

At this moment, the furo at the crack was crowded together, with those inside wanting to come out and those out wanting to go back in, like several large plates stacked together, making a noisy mess.

"Run! He's not a good person!"

"What? Isn't he the hero who saved us?"

"It's dangerous, let's go back."

"Let me see, make room for me."

"Don't push, I bumped into the wall."

Several voices rang in Charles's mind in turn, making his head buzz.

"Shut up!" he shouted.

All the furoo stopped, their eyeballs all turned to Charles, blinked a few times, and then continued arguing.

"If you keep making noise, I'll throw out the Mind Eater." This time, Ciel said calmly.

This sentence immediately quelled the quarrel among the Furu, who froze in mid-air before retreating into the rift like madmen.

"Hey? Don't run away, come out, let's talk." Charles immediately reacted and tried to persuade Furu, but to no avail.

After thinking for a moment, he sighed and said, "Since you don't want to talk, I'll have to seal a few brain-eating monsters inside."

"Men, prepare to seal it off..." Charles ordered his men.

"We can talk, hero, we can talk." Several voices pleaded in his mind.

A moment later, a dozen large round cakes floated out of the crack and came to Charles.

"So you've been trapped here for a long time?" Charles said.

Furu in front of him didn't speak, but his eyelids moved up and down in unison, as if he were nodding.

"I want to know what's going on here," Charles asked, feeling that these little idiots might know something.

Furu's eye stalks moved as they looked at each other. What's even more interesting is that their eye stalks could not look in the same direction; one looked to the left and the other to the right.

"There's a Mind Flayer here," a voice echoed in Charles's mind.

"That's impressive."

"Absolutely amazing."

"I think it's just average."

"Shut up, you can't beat him anyway."

"Stop," Charles immediately called for a halt when he saw they were about to start arguing again. He pointed to one of the furoos in front of him and said, "You tell them."

“A powerful Mind Flayer lives here. Our guild has never defeated him,” said the furoo.

"You're a religious order?" Sharchi asked. "What's the name of your order?"

"What are our names... what are our names?" Furu thought for a moment, then turned to ask his companion.

"Alright, let's have your guild leader speak to you," Charles said.

"The guild master is in your hands." Furu's whiskers turned dark blue.

"Huh?" Charles was taken aback, looking down at the grayish-white bone "hat" in his hand, which he hadn't thrown away after picking it up.

"I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional." Ciel put down the president's remains, apologetically, and even helped wipe the dust off them. "Is there anything else?"

"That Mind Flayer creates goblin molters to serve him. The hatching pool is just ahead, guarded by a Brain Golem. That's where we were driven here by the Mind Flayer."

"Brain Golem?" Charles subconsciously repeated the other's words. He had already seen the Goblin Evolver, "The Waiter," and those small monsters were nothing to worry about. But the Brain Golem sounded like a difficult opponent. "Is the Brain Golem stronger than the Mind Flayer?"

"That thing drove the Mind-Stealing Giant Worm all the way here," Furu said.

"Does that brain-eating monster eat brain golems?" Ciel asked with a serious expression.

"No, the Mind Flayer is a severe mutation that occurs during the reproduction of Mind Flayer tadpoles. They grow by killing and devouring other tadpoles, and Mind Flayers hate this situation very much. That's why the Mind Eater attacks the Mind Flayer, but the Mind Eater is not."

"This is a bit troublesome." Charles frowned; he didn't want to share the fortress with a mind flayer.

He considered several ways to deal with the brain golem, but none of them worked.

Why not use a grenade fruit to blow it up? The Brain Golem will quickly rush into the middle of the goblins, and the Brain Eater won't attack the Brain Golem. Slimes don't seem to be very effective either.

Just as Charles was racking his brains without any clue, he suddenly noticed that the tentacles of the Furu in front of him had all turned light pink.

"Are they happy?" Sharchi asked. "They seem a little smug."

"You can handle the Brain Golem, right?" he asked calmly, his tone devoid of any doubt.

"No, heroes, we can't do it." Furu's voices rang out in turn, all saying that they were weak, but Charles noticed that their whiskers were even pinker.

"Red Eyes, come here." Charles called to his subordinate, "Go and turn him over."

Red Eyes rushed over, grabbed a Furu, and flipped it over to the ground amidst its scream.

The Furu's tentacles were weakly supporting it on the ground, but the blowholes at its base were now facing upwards, "fufu," making it impossible for it to get up on its own. Its two eye stalks were covered with a layer of mist, as if it was about to cry.

Ignoring the grumbling Furu in front of him, Ciel smiled and said to the other Furu whose tentacles had turned deep red, "Want to chat?"

"Bandits!" the Furu shouted, but they were powerless against Sharl. A few seconds later, they had no choice but to surrender, and their whiskers turned dark blue.

"We can deal with the Brain Golem; it's easy to handle."

"Tell me," Charles said, making Red Eyes turn Furu over on the ground.

"The Mind Flayer has no ability to communicate; it only responds to the Mind Flayer's telepathic abilities, and we can also influence it with telepathy."

"In that case, please pay your reward for rescuing you," Charles said with a smile.

…………

With a loud "bang," the brain demon statue punched itself hard.

The punch was so heavy that it staggered and almost lost its footing.

"This punch could flatten a goblin." Charles smirked.

He looked at the humanoid structure in front of him, which was more than two meters tall. Its limbs were strong, and its body was made up of several brain tissues wrapped in a semi-transparent fleshy membrane. At the head was a fleshy bud about half the size of a human head.

The Furu floated, danced, and swirled around the Brain Demon, as if they were dancing, their tentacles turning pale pink, seemingly enjoying themselves.

Looking at the nearly dried-up brine incubation pool and the several goblin metamorphos that had been defeated, Sharl ordered his men, "Let's go."

"Squeak squeak squeak." A large number of cries came from afar. Xia Er stared ahead and saw a swarm of green eyes light up in the dark passage.
