Lindsay then decided to fire a few flaming arrows to see if he could force out the phantom ghost.

With his left hand forward, Linsel had become increasingly proficient at this move through repeated use of fire magic. He fired two fire arrows in quick succession, one aimed at the left half and the other at the center of the smoke.

Two beams of flame shot out, passed through the white smoke, and landed on the ground not far away, where they caught fire.

Linssey's third flaming arrow followed the first two, fired towards the right side of the smoke.

There's a reason behind those three fire arrows. If the monster was previously on the left or in the middle of the smoke, it would have to move to the area closer to the right to hide inside the smoke.

Just as Lindsay had suspected, the third flaming arrow burst into flames the moment it hit the smoke on the right.

"Captain, here! You think you hit it!"

"Broken Arrow" shouted, though he was now closer to the smoke than Lindsay, he still maintained a safe distance with his dagger in hand.
