I gained the twentieth monster ability.

Encouraged by the death of the goblin priest, the guards raised their shields and launched a counterattack against the goblins on both sides.

Kent beheaded a goblin with his one-handed Saxon cleaver, and while closely following the caravan guards beside him, he calmly assessed the situation on the battlefield under their cover.

"The one who could cast spells is down, charge in!"

Upon hearing Kent's shout, the three Iron-rank adventurers immediately broke out of their shield wall formation and engaged the nearby goblins in close combat.

Then, the caravan guards formed a shield wall in front, and the number of stones thrown by the green-skinned monsters decreased significantly, with only a few scattered stones remaining.

Lindsay and "Broken Arrow" were chatting when Kent came up to them.

"Thank you for your timely intervention and taking down that old goblin, otherwise we would have been worn down by its evil magic for ages!"

Lindsay noticed that his face was red, swollen, and bruised.

"You got hit badly by the rocks? I have some ointment here, would you like to put some on?"

Kent smiled and declined, "No need to waste medicine. Actually, if that old goblin hadn't cast a spell, I wouldn't have gotten this minor injury."

"Its spells seem to be Entangling Vines and Rain of Pebbles. The Entangling Vines spell doesn't seem to be very effective; it can only affect one person."

"I was actually wondering before whether these stones were from magic or a large number of goblins throwing them over."

Kent picked up a few pebbles scattered on the ground.

This "pleasure reaction"... it feels like the monster's ability wasn't clearly described. How can it make the opponent lose a little bit of life while also exciting them? What the heck?

Of course, Lindsay wouldn't choose that; he had no interest in understanding the language of those evil and noisy green-skinned creatures.

Then just choose one of the other two.

19 Big Goblins [Pleasant Reaction]

Description: Threat level 0.7. This mutated goblin, while averaging 1.5 meters tall and larger, has not shown any increase in intelligence. It commonly appears in goblin colonies near human or dwarf settlements.

20 Goblin Priest [Spell-like Ability: Entangling Vines]

Description: Threat Level 3. Some goblin shamans can become goblin priests after learning more spells, enabling them to lead goblin groups and use some basic spells. They are commonly found in goblin lairs or within sizable goblin groups.

By evening of the second day, the convoy had passed through the woods and was driving across the plains again.

Nothing happened that night.

By the morning of the second day, Linsset saw that large and small farmlands had begun to appear on both sides of the road. Since it was autumn, the crops in the fields had all been harvested, leaving only piles of straw and withered grass in the fields.
