People are scared in America, my uncle is Dante
Chapter 7 Colin
Outside the elevator, it was pitch black, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
The familiar smell of disinfectant from the hospital wafted over, mixed with some unfamiliar, pungent odors.
"Mr. Suren..."
Ross looked at Suren with a tense expression.
"take it easy."
Suren pulled a high-powered flashlight from inside his trench coat and handed it to her. Then, with a flick of his wrist, a silver M1911 appeared in his hand.
He stepped out of the elevator, a faint red glow emanating from his pupils—an innate ability of his demonic bloodline that allowed him to see everything directly in the dark.
"You really are a demon..."
Seeing this, Chrisbella, who was being held in someone's arms, froze, closed her eyes in despair, and frantically made the sign of the cross in her mind.
"Smack."
A dim light appeared behind him.
Technological creations here seem to be suppressed by some kind of rule; a flashlight that could originally shoot out a great distance can now barely illuminate a few meters in front of you.
Ross followed behind Suren, twirling his flashlight with unease.
The faint light from the flashlight cast long shadows of the scattered medical equipment in the corridor, which looked rather frightening.
The exposed pipes overhead, hidden in the shadows of the light, resembled venomous snakes lurking in wait.
The arrival of the Otherworld has drastically altered the terrain and structure of this place.
Suren remembered that in the movie, Ross turned left and right here, running around for ages trying to find his room.
Now, all that remained before him was a pitch-black passage, like the gaping maw of a giant beast.
"Hmm... if we lay out a red carpet and I change into a suit, it will look like a welcoming passage."
Suren made a joke.
The corridor was lined with locked hospital room doors, from which faint cries of pain could be heard, accompanied by the chilling sound of fingernails scratching at the door panels.
Scattered around on both sides were some rusty mobile hospital beds, covered with white sheets that revealed human silhouettes underneath, some of which were stained with an unknown liquid.
"Uh...uh..."
From the depths of darkness, a strange groan suddenly came, accompanied by the sound of some kind of flesh being dragged and rubbed on the ground.
Suren seemed to have thought of something and looked ahead with some anticipation.
A naked, humanoid scorpion crawls out of the darkness.
Its entire body was lying on the ground, its legs were forcibly broken and bent backwards and fixed behind its head, and it dragged itself forward by its two arms.
The monster held its head high, barbed wire encircling its eyes, the barbs deeply embedded in them.
Perhaps the punishment was too painful, for his mouth remained open, and he kept uttering indistinct groans.
A purplish-red tongue dangled out, swaying back and forth with the movement of the body.
Upon seeing this, Suren looked disappointed.
I thought I was going to see a supermodel nurse...
Colin.
She was originally a cleaner at Silent Hill Elementary School and had assaulted Alessa, who was being bullied by her classmates, in the toilet.
"Lust blinds the eyes."
A few words suddenly flashed through Suren's mind. He looked at the inhuman Colin in front of him with disgust in his eyes.
Although Alessa's revenge was cruel, it must be said that it was very effective.
The barbs piercing his eyes were punishment for his past acts of spying on girls' bodies.
This upside-down position forced him to crawl on his arms, leaving his lower body, which had committed sins, to be dragged on the rough ground.
Each crawl is a torment to the root of evil.
"Well?"
Seemingly sensing the scent of a living person, Colin stopped moving his head, and his drooping tongue, like a snake's forked tongue, rapidly licked the air.
next second.
This seemingly clumsy body charged toward Suren at an eerie speed.
"ah!!"
When Ross saw Colin charging at him, he was so frightened that he retreated hastily and fell to the ground, the beam of light in his hand flailing wildly in the darkness.
A shadow flashed in the darkness.
In the blink of an eye, Colin was already in front of Suren, his massive body leaping high into the air, his tongue just inches away from Suren.
"Nausea."
Suren could even smell the fishy stench from the other's breath. He leaned back and used the momentum to lift his knee and thrust it upwards.
"Bang!"
Colin's jaw was struck hard, its dislocated jaw forced back together, and its body flipped in the air and crashed into the ceiling.
"Clatter".
A piece of rotten flesh was snapped off by the immense force and fell to Ross's feet.
Ross instinctively shone the flashlight in that direction—
The purplish-red half-piece of meat even bounced twice on the ground.
"vomit--"
Upon seeing what it was, Ross felt an overwhelming urge to vomit and covered his mouth tightly.
When Colin landed, he was lying on his back, like a turtle that had been flipped over, revealing his bloodied and mangled genitals.
It twisted its body in agony, trying to straighten itself, but a cold gun barrel was already pressed against its forehead.
Suren held the gun in one hand, his red-glowing eyes looking indifferently at this scoundrel who had once bullied everyone at school.
"In my next life, I'll be... no, that's not right."
"You should just stay in hell."
"Bang!"
The firelight suddenly blazed, briefly dispelling the darkness of the corridor.
Colin's struggling body stiffened.
Unlike the carnage and gore of monsters in the surface world after they were blasted apart, Colin's body instantly turned charred black.
Then, flames erupted from all over his body.
Within seconds, it turned into a pile of ashes.
The battle is over.
Everything returned to calm, with only the lingering smell of gunpowder in the air proving that what had just happened was not an illusion.
Ross sat on the ground, his chest heaving violently, his mind blank.
She stared blankly at the pile of ashes, then looked up at the Asian youth in front of her who was fixing his trench coat.
The monster that had filled her with despair just seconds before was so easily dealt with by this man?
The monster didn't even have the slightest chance to fight back?
In the darkness, the crimson light flowing in the youth's eyes appeared unusually eerie, carrying a coldness and power that transcended all living beings.
"Sulen...Mr. Sulen?"
Ross swallowed hard and asked in a low voice, "Is that monster dead?"
"He's been dead for decades."
Suren spoke calmly. Seeing that Ross was still sitting on the ground, she walked over and extended her hand.
Under the flashlight beam, the long, slender, and powerful white hand stood out in stark contrast to the surrounding bloody and filthy scene.
Rose instinctively took his hand and used it to stand up; her legs were still a little weak.
Only now, standing face to face, did Ross see Suren's face and those eyes that shimmered with a dark red light for the first time.
These are definitely not human eyes.
Ross's heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively asked, "Your eyes...?"
"Um……"
"This is cutting-edge technology, contact lenses, invented by Umbrella Corporation. As a detective, it's reasonable for me to be equipped with a pair for easier operations, isn't it?"
As Suren spoke, she pointed to the corner of her eye, as if there were some high-tech hidden there.
Ross: (⊙o⊙)
All of this absurdity has made Ross extremely receptive to change.
Even if Suren were to say that he is God now, she would still believe him.
"Let's go."
Suren weighed Chrisbella, who was too frightened to make a sound, in her hand and continued walking deeper into the corridor.
Ross followed behind him, still shaken.
The monster she had just seen had greatly shocked her, but the shock that Suren had given her was even greater.
She swore that in all her years, she had never seen a human being so powerful; such power was completely beyond her comprehension.
Ross gripped the flashlight and surveyed his surroundings. Although he still looked somewhat reserved, he was much more relaxed.
After all, with something even more terrifying than a monster standing beside you, there doesn't seem to be anything to be afraid of.
However, to Suren's surprise, the rest of the journey went exceptionally smoothly.
He walked along the corridor, and nothing rushed out to block his way from either side of the ward doors.
Soon, a wooden door appeared at the end of the passage. The windows on both sides of the door were covered by curtains, and firelight could be faintly seen from inside.
