Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 037: Instructor Lena

Lorraine, carrying the small wooden box, set off on her journey to Mrs. Juno's shop.

Brian continued to look around the street with curious eyes, asking some rather naive questions.

"Master, what is that?"

"Blacksmith shop."

Why is that person so short?

"Because they are dwarfs."

"What's that colorful thing?"

"flower shop."

Loran paused, looking at the flower shop displaying brightly colored flowers.

He could actually tell that Thompson and Mrs. Juno still had feelings for each other, but unfortunately, they had missed their prime years, and the old man just didn't understand romance.

Why don't we let him help this old man?

With that in mind, Loran walked toward the flower shop and bought a beautiful bunch of flowers for 20 copper coins.

Flower shops are generally frequented by the nobility, but relying solely on the nobility cannot sustain the business, so there are also many inexpensive flowers available.

Arriving at Mrs. Juno's shop, the woman with the marks of time on her face was tidying up some odds and ends.

Mrs. Juno.

Juno turned around and saw that it was Lorraine. He naturally recognized the little guy that Thompson had brought earlier.

"Hey there, long time no see. Why isn't that old man Thompson with you?" Juno greeted him with a smile.

"He's got something going on; he might have made some new progress in his research on runes."

Juno shook her head helplessly, "Him? He's doomed because of this. Even scholars can't figure it out, how could this old man possibly understand it..."

Lorraine took out the small box and the cluster of flowers. "Mr. Thompson asked me to give this to you."

Juno glanced at the small box in Lorraine's hand with some surprise. She hadn't expected that Thompson, that old-fashioned guy, would actually know to give her flowers.

A strange emotion welled up within her, but she quickly composed herself, smiled slightly, and said, "Okay, thank you for running errands for him."

"No trouble at all. I've come here to ask you for a favor. Could you introduce me to a wandering swordswoman? Her name is Lena," Loran explained his purpose.

"Lena? You mean the one who runs the training gym... Hmm, no problem!" Juno readily agreed, and it was easy to tell from her expression that she was very happy.

"Wait here for me a moment, I'll go write a letter for you, then you can go to the training hall and give it to Lena."

While Mrs. Juno was writing a letter, Lorraine browsed around the grocery store.

Arrows poisoned with the pollen of the withered bone flower are certainly useful against adventurers, but they are somewhat ineffective against creatures like mountain boars that have special resistances.

His previous thinking was wrong; he believed that someone wanted to harm him, but he ignored the inherent dangers of the wild.

Three days later, after the details of the next adventure commission were determined, Loran further decided on the direction for purchasing equipment, as Mrs. Juno had a very sufficient supply of various items.

We'll put the bill on that old man Thompson's tab. Hmm, that's settled!

Soon Juno handed a letter to Loran, explaining the address of the training camp.

"Oh, by the way, tell Thompson that I'd like to invite him to dinner, let's meet at the Water Tavern in the back manor in two days from now." Juno blinked her beautiful eyes.

Loran instantly understood and nodded seriously, "Okay, no problem!"

"Okay, go ahead."

Following the address given by Juno, Loran found the training camp—the Adventurer Advanced Training Camp—near the manor.

Upon seeing this building for the first time, Loran was reminded of certain buildings on Earth, such as martial arts halls and cram schools.

This training camp is very large, and the building materials are different from other wooden buildings. There are many stone piles and various decorations, animal hides, weapon models and the like.

In short, the storefront itself is very attractive.

Loran led Brian into the training camp, where they could see many younger trainees sitting at wooden tables reading various books.

Each student's face was filled with focus, and an elderly gentleman walked back and forth beside them, presumably a scholar dedicated to answering their questions.

This is probably a place that focuses on training junior students, or perhaps it's a place for seasoned adventurers who don't have the money or the inclination to come to such a place for training.

A young-looking male student at the front desk politely asked, "Sir, would you like to join our training camp?"

"Um... I'm looking for someone. Her name is Lena. Do you know where she is?" Loran stated his request.

"Are you looking for Instructor Lena? She's currently teaching a student; you can go and check it out first." The student gestured for them to proceed.

Behind the training camp is a relatively spacious area, which is probably where students are taught practical skills on a daily basis.

At this moment, the very robust-looking Lena is instructing a naive young female student.

The white-haired female student was trying to release something with her hands.

"Keep your mind calm, carefully recall what I taught you yesterday, not only concentrate, but also learn to follow the laws of this world."

Lena spoke slowly.

The somewhat naive red-haired girl stared intently ahead, her palms clasped together. A faint, intense heat emanated from the space in front of her, but that was all.

"It's okay, take your time, no need to rush. Maybe you're just lacking in applying the theory," Lena comforted the white-haired girl, patting her shoulder.

"Instructor Lena, someone's looking for you!" the student waved and called out loudly.

Lena turned around, spotted Loran, gave the white-haired girl a few instructions, and walked over. "Hello, are you here to inquire about the Order Training Camp?"

"I guess so. A friend of mine suggested I come here to improve myself." Loran took out the envelope from Juno and handed it to Lena.

Lena took the envelope, opened it, and looked inside. Then she smiled. "I see. Please give my regards to Mrs. Juno. Which specific skill would you like to train?"

"Here you can learn magic and combat skills; you can also learn combat techniques and tactics; and finally, you can learn teamwork among adventurer companions, the art of conversation, and so on."

"So what kind of needs do you have?" Lena asked curiously.

Loran pondered for a moment, "I want to practice tactical skills and the use of combat techniques. If I could learn magic, that would be even better. I've only recently mastered combat techniques, so I probably don't know much about them. I personally mainly use a bow and arrow."

"Bows and arrows? No problem, you've come to the right person. I'm a former wandering knight, so I know a lot about bows and arrows. As for your question about combat skills, I can take care of that."

"Yes! Tactics! Crush those disgusting green guys!" Brian chimed in.

Lena looked at Brian with some surprise. "Oh, that's quite unexpected. Your dog can talk? Have you mastered any combat skills related to pets?"

"Uh...I guess so," Loran mumbled.

"Excellent! I think I've recognized your talent. Leave the rest to me. Mrs. Juno has already explained the situation, so you don't need to worry about extra expenses. Come with me!"
