The passageway was filled with the corpses of kobolds, large and small, probably numbering more than twenty.

They never imagined that so many kobolds could be hidden in such a small hole.

If it weren't for the traps that Loran and Finita had set up beforehand, completely disrupting the kobolds' rhythm, the outcome might not have been the way it is now.

"If these kobolds can attack us without any hindrance using the holes, an attack from more than twenty kobolds would probably leave us severely injured, if not dead," Noah said with a sigh.

Lin Wen nodded in agreement, "These guys are much more troublesome than I imagined. I didn't expect the price to be about the same as goblins. The Adventurers' Guild is really greedy."

"Yes, but there are still many adventurers willing to take on these missions. If we reach their storage levels, we might discover the treasures they store. Let's go!"

Cleaning up the battlefield can wait. Right now, the priority is to launch a blitzkrieg into the kobolds' deeper lair. If they wait for reinforcements, things won't be so easy.

Noah raised his greatsword, becoming an unstoppable force. No kobold could get past him; even if his greatsword wasn't sharp, it was enough to smash the kobolds into mincemeat.

The number of kobolds was endless, and it seemed they were approaching their core chamber, which was why they were fighting so desperately.

"Get ready, it looks like we're in for a tough battle." Noah frowned as he looked at the kobolds ahead.

"Whoosh!" Loran raised his hand and fired an arrow.

The kobolds spoke an obscure and difficult language, but Loran, who had acquired the language proficiency talent, understood it perfectly, as did Brian.
