Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 132: Reencounter with Freud

Within Rockfall Town, hordes of monsters surged towards the town's perimeter like a tidal wave, while the town's guards had already organized an effective counterattack against them.

Arrows flew into the sky as if they were free, landing on the dense horde of monsters. Experienced mages also began to condense their magic, launching effective attacks against the monsters.

Huge fireballs hurtled toward the monsters, each one taking the lives of a large number of them.

Rockfall Town has a solid foundation, but relying solely on the sheer number of monsters without any real quality is clearly insufficient for an effective assault.

However, the situation in Rockfall Town was clearly not ideal, as a strange, human-to-human ritual plague was breaking out within the town.

These monsters are trying to dismantle Rockfall Town from within, and with this attack from both inside and outside, the situation in Rockfall Town will become extremely dire.

A tall werewolf monster led his squad in an attack from the flank.

"Roar! Charge! Make those cowardly bastards who only know how to cast spells from high places pay the price!" The werewolf monster leaped into the air, passing through arrows and magic, and charged straight at the mages and archers on the high platform.

However, there were guards blocking the werewolf monsters, and it should be noted that any one of these guards was no weaker than Noah.

They possess excellent plate armor and weapons from Rockfall Town, and have also mastered a certain level of combat skills, making them a very formidable fighting force.

Surrounded by several people, the werewolf monster squad leader suffered repeated setbacks, unable to find any breakthrough, and was instead beaten and forced to flee in panic.

And there are quite a few squad leaders like this werewolf monster; they are scattered in various locations around Rockfall Town, leading their respective squads to launch attacks.

Some of them were originally adventurers, but chose to defect after coming into contact with this powerful force.

Others were prisoners captured by villages who, having lost all hope, had no choice but to join and serve that "god".

It was in this emergency that the spirited blond elven ranger Elfin stepped forward. He looked at the chaotic Rockfall Town before him, his face showing no sign of panic.

"Don't worry, everyone. Follow the Sharp Spear Squad and we'll pave a path of hope for you!" Elfin tossed his flowing blond hair.

Immediately, he took out his bow, and magical arrows, as if they had eyes, continuously locked onto all sorts of monsters roaming the town, including those strange men in black, who were helpless against Elfin's magical arrows.

Elfin's appearance was like a ray of dawn, illuminating the path for many adventurers in the town. They all spontaneously joined the party led by Elfin, banding together for mutual support.

Of course, it wasn't just Elfin; the captain of the Blade of Excellence team also organized adventurers in the town to launch an effective counterattack. Thanks to the efforts of the adventurers and the town's guards, the area affected by the red substance was shrinking, and the situation was improving.

The goblin shaman "Feuer" watched everything unfold on the outskirts of Rockfall Town, a sense of unease creeping into his heart, his eyes filled with shock.

Because he discovered that Carlos was dead, and in such an unexpected way that he didn't even have time to ask for help through telepathy. How powerful must his opponent have been?

This didn't happen during Carlos's last battle against the elven ranger, meaning that an opponent even stronger than Elfin has appeared in the town...

"Feuer, Carlos... he's dead. A small squad is currently scattered in the wilderness, trying to escape Rockfall Town. My squad couldn't stop them. What do you think? Should we let them go?"

Feuer received a telepathic message from Jasper and was somewhat shocked. Was it an adventurer party that killed Carlos?

He wanted to see what kind of background this adventurer team had.

Feuer floated up and headed towards Jasper.

Loran and his companions gradually shook off the monsters during their chase. Noah used recovery and mental potions and has recovered some of his fighting strength.

The monster horde, though slightly smaller in number and quality, couldn't do much to Loran and his companions, which allowed them to escape.

"Keep going straight ahead, we'll find Plassen's location later!" Loran encouraged, urging everyone to keep moving forward.

The group dared not stop and continued to move forward. They had a feeling that they were about to escape the influence of the monsters. As long as they went far enough, they would be safe!

However, things didn't go as planned. Feu eventually caught up with them. When Feu saw the people below, he was slightly surprised. He recognized these faces!

Feu's floating height was not high, only about 2 meters above the ground. When Feu saw the group, Loran and the others also saw Feu.

They all recognized the bizarre goblin shaman as the one who had attacked them during the raid on Inada Village!

"Tsk tsk tsk, look at you, little ants scurrying away in panic. I didn't expect you to move here from over there, and now you want to run away again? Why didn't you choose to stay here in the first place? What a complicated bunch of little guys!" Feuer's withered voice echoed in the ears of Loran and the others.

Ronnie nervously tugged at her clothes and asked in a low voice, "Finita, does this guy know you?"

Finita nodded solemnly. "Yes...we encountered him during our adventure."

Feu landed, coldly surveying the crowd. "I apologize that my mistake allowed you to escape. This time, I don't intend to repeat the same error. You will become sacrifices to God!"

Soon, a group of goblins came running up behind Feuer. These goblins were all strong and muscular, carrying wooden clubs, and charged towards Loran and the others.

Feuer's staff glowed faintly, enveloping the goblin in a magical shield, just like Inada Village had done last time.

Loran and his group knew exactly how difficult these shields were to destroy, but they couldn't leave right now. Who knew what other tricks that goblin shaman had up his sleeve? They had no choice but to bite the bullet and go for it!

The wooden sticks weren't very offensive, but with a magical shield as a defensive guarantee, Loran and the others quickly found themselves at a significant disadvantage.

"Explode!" Noah used the greatsword's Explosive Crystal, creating a powerful explosion that barely managed to open a hole in the magic shield.

However, in the next moment, Feuer simply raised his hand slightly and filled the hole in the shield.

"This time, you have no chance of winning!"
