Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!
Chapter 7 Son of Saint Geres
The Lamenters' Warband?!
Lancelot paused for a moment after hearing the name, then sped up and headed toward the bridge command center.
But at this moment, the mortal adjutants in the command center were unusually tense, anxiously asking Lancelot on the communication channel.
"Sir! Are you familiar with this battle group? Our ship inventory doesn't contain any information about it!"
Hearing the mortal officer's words, Lancelot quickly replied:
"I know them. They are the offspring of Saint Geres, the Angels of Holy Blood. As for why they are not registered in the Cambridge system, there are many other reasons... Mortal, I need you to contact them immediately!"
Lancelot's solemn voice echoed through the sound channel, and the morale of the lieutenants was finally ignited when they heard Lancelot tell them that the Weeping Legion was the noble Holy Blood Angels!
Although they didn't understand why the Lamenters' Chapter didn't directly mention their noble status as children of Saint Gilles, since Lancelot, the Dark Angel, had recognized the other as an angel, they, as mortals, didn't really need to know anything more!
Therefore, at Lancelot's prompting, the command center immediately established communication with the Weeping Legion's warship and informed them that there was a Dark Angel on board, also fighting fiercely.
The Crying Legion didn't say much about it, but quickly devised a boarding tactic to clear the internal troubles of the Cobra-class frigate.
Well, after a communication ended, Lancelot finally stepped into the command center on the bridge, carrying his power sword.
"Master monk."
All the mortals and officers paid the highest respect to Lancelot, for they knew all too well the divine power of this Imperial Angel before them, who had practically torn through all the alien obstacles from the most remote warehouse location.
What's even more astonishing is that despite fighting his way through, the armor on this cultivator's body showed no signs of damage.
Such divine power made people shout for the Emperor's blessing, and Lancelot quickly issued orders after arriving at the command center.
"I need to speak directly with the Chapter Leader of the Lamenters."
Lancelot has a clear goal.
At the same time, he quickly went through the battle group in his mind that was willing to come to the rescue of mortals.
The Lamenters' Warband.
Its history originated from the 21st founding of the army.
In response to the escalating galactic situation, the Astartes are naturally the backbone of the Empire. Therefore, the Empire conducts a large-scale military buildup every now and then. However, during the 21st military buildup, the members of the Mechanicus responsible for the buildup had some ulterior motives.
They wanted to improve the most important gene seed suspension in Astartes, eliminating genetic defects such as Black Fury and Bloodthirst in some chapters, such as the Blood Angels gene seed.
The idea may have been well-intentioned: to address the genetic flaws of the old chapters and create stronger, more stable new Space Marines.
However, not everyone is like the renowned Archsage Dorakol of the Cult of Mechanics, capable of altering the Astartes created by the Emperor.
Therefore, the Empire made a huge mistake in this 21st military buildup.
The Space Marines they created were almost all failures. Their genes were extremely unstable, and many chapters were wiped out, defected, or were purged by the Empire shortly after their formation.
As a result, the 21st founding of the army was also known as the "cursed founding of the army".
However, for the Lamenters Chapter, they are one of the few good examples among the cursed armies, and the original Blood Angels' Black Fury and Bloodlust have been positively improved in their hands.
Even so... they were still branded with a curse, rejected and distrusted by the Empire, as if tainted by innate misfortune.
They were subsequently wiped out several times, considered traitors by the Empire, their flagship was looted by the Minotaur Warband, and they were even sent on a redemption expedition, but they were still willing to fight for the human Empire.
What is most commendable is that, despite being suspected by other Astartes chapters and despised by the Imperial high command, this chapter experienced praise and recognition from the mortal warriors of the Empire during the battle.
As the sons of Sanjeres, they forged friendships with the vast majority of the Imperium's people, making them one of the few Space Marine chapters, besides the Salamanders, willing to risk their lives for mortals.
In this universe that is like a cesspool, they shine with rare humanity, worthy of the blood of Saint Gilles.
If it's someone who's wailing... then I could make contact with them, since I just gained something from that...
As Lancelot thought this, the Keeper's Panel, which only he could see, appeared before his eyes.
A new record has appeared in the previously empty Level 1, Silent Guardian's file.
……
[Secrets have been recorded: 21 Primarchs]
[Secret Level: Level 2: Covert]
[Description: Mortals have always believed that the Empire created only nine Primarchs, but in reality, the Emperor created 21 Primarchs. Two Primarchs were erased, and nine Primarchs rebelled, including the Primarch of the Alpha Legion, who was a twin.]
[Guardian Reward: Access to Space Marine Basic Forging Templates]
[Battle Score: +0]
Current battle score: 95
……
Since the secrets of the Second Reich can be recorded, the matter of the Primarch can naturally also be included in the secrets.
However, this secret is very broad, essentially encompassing information about all the rebellious Primarchs, but fortunately, what he gave us is exceptionally important.
Space Marine basic forging template permissions.
Lancelot's Guardian System has a storage space, and this forging permission is similar to placing an STC from the dark age of human technology in the storage space... Simply put, it's an AI atomic decomposition and recombination printer.
By throwing a pile of scrap metal into it, you can efficiently produce the Mark VII Aquila Power Armor, standard-issue bomb guns, bomb gun bullets, chainsaw swords, and various grenades, medical supplies, and even vehicles: anti-gravity jet motorcycles.
Unfortunately, what I received wasn't a forging template, but forging permissions. If I wanted to make something, I had to do it myself and actively activate the permissions.
It is highly versatile, but cannot be produced automatically. Even so, it still allows Lancelot to arm a resource-poor Space Marine chapter.
The representative of resource scarcity is the Weeping Legion. This group of people, who are unloved by their parents, have no home planet and can only wander as nomads, yet inherit the noble qualities of Saint Geres, perfectly fit the definition of resource scarcity.
Furthermore, the other party is a descendant of Saint Geres, which would allow them to form a Second Empire bond... oh no, it would be a complementary relationship with their Dark Angel fighting style.
My overall combat power has increased by ten points, the effect is absolutely amazing. If I can be on good terms with the Lamenters Chapter, I can say that I have found some connections in this shithole universe!
