Below the Exile Star, at the Mary Fick Monastery.

The hall was filled with the smell of medicine and soil mixed together. Torches were stuck in iron bases on the wall, and the flames flickered gently, illuminating the reliefs on the stone wall in an alternating light and shadow.

The exorcist's chemist was treating the wounded, and servants pushed carts full of bandages and equipment through the corridor. Water stains and bloodstains from the recent battle could still be seen on the ground.

Leo stood to one side, silent, simply watching the group of red-armored Astartes busy at work. Kara, on the other hand, walked over to a Space Marine company commander who was wiping a bomb gun, speaking politely.

"Your Holiness the Divine Emperor and Angel, who exactly were those enemies we just encountered?"

The company commander looked up, glanced at Kara first, then at Leo in the distance, before speaking.

"The old enemies of Exile, nothing but a bunch of Chaos lackeys."

Kara stared at his face.

"Their armor style and coordination are unlike those of ordinary roving criminals."

The company commander had a strange expression, and continued to wipe the gun barrel with his fingers.

"A traitor is a traitor, Sister. Names don't matter, death is enough."

Kara didn't press further after hearing this. Having grown up at the Loyal Succession Academy, she had heard far too many evasive explanations. It seemed that this Astartes was hiding something.

Leo's attention was drawn to the conversation.

Do your warbands also have secrets?

The group was then led through the interior of the monastery. It was like a hollowed-out cavity created by hollowing out the rock strata, with the church, bunker, and armory crammed together, and the narrow corridors only wide enough for two Astartes to pass side by side.

Kara remained silent the entire way; she was very familiar with this environment.

In the dimly lit corridor, one could vaguely see the imperial reliefs on the domed walls, and occasionally the faint light from incense burners and the flashing indicator lights on the power armor.

At the corner of the corridor stood a statue of the divine emperor, surrounded by a circle of candles.

She looked around until she passed the armory and caught a glimpse of it.

There are the emblems of the Inquisition there, suggesting that the Exorcist Chapter likely has a deep connection with the Inquisition.

No wonder these people have the same temper as Catherine.

She lowered her eyes and memorized it all.

The Exorcist Chapter Commander, Emil Vasafin, met Leo in a operations room. The man was badly injured; the armor on his left arm had been replaced with a temporary brace. He struggled to his feet as soon as he saw the group enter.

He looked up at Leo and nodded slightly.

Leo didn't beat around the bush; he directly explained the damage to the Holy Commandment and indicated that he needed navigational assistance.

After listening, Emil spoke frankly in a low voice.

"The Exorcist Chapter will do its best to help. Tomorrow, we will prepare supplies for the Holy Commandment and also assist in resolving your ship's navigation issues."

As he said this, his gaze lingered on Leo's face.

"Please rest well tonight. You have seen our situation. Please give us some time."

Leo then replied, "Understood, we won't take up too much of the Exorcist Legion's time."

.

After Leo and his group left, Emil turned his head and looked at the company commander from before.

How much inventory is left?

The company commander answered with a pursed mouth.

"Not many. Since the Great Rift opened, the Holy Hammer Order hasn't sent anyone to replenish our supplies for several years. We're even using our usual prayer candles sparingly."

The squadron leader said in a low voice.

"We still need to raise the money for them first."

The company commander frowned.

"To avoid the secret being exposed?"

"Yes." The warband leader looked at the battle map, his wound twitching slightly. "Send them away as soon as possible. We can't let more people see the family affairs of the Exiles."

"But if that person is truly the Primarch, we can thoroughly settle accounts with those traitors."

Let's leave this topic here.

.

.

Judging from my sense of touch, it's nighttime now.

The monastery arranged temporary accommodations for Leo and his party. The rooms were originally prayer rooms converted into rest areas, with water and dry food on the table and icons hanging on the walls.

The bed or bench was simply not the right size for Leo's buttocks, so to avoid damaging the furniture with his weight and adding to their burden, Leo had no choice but to find a blanket and sit on the floor.

This place doesn't look very wealthy, so I felt a little bad about asking for something from here.

We need to find a way to help them in some way.

We can't very well take something out of the Holy Commandment to help them with their household expenses, can we? That would be going against the Heavenly Gang.

The nuns removed some of their equipment and gathered in the room, whispering amongst themselves.

In recent days, they have discovered that Leo only appears fierce on the surface, but he does not actually make things difficult for people on purpose.

A nun looked up at Leo, breaking the silence.

"Your Highness, does that golden aura you exude during battle feel hot to the touch?"

Once the conversation started, another nun joined in.

"Outrageous! Didn't you see that all that filth was burned to death?"

"But it looks alive."

Leo waved his hand, ending the boring topic.

"These powers will only punish the enemies of the God-Emperor, not harm you."

Several nuns laughed after hearing this, but someone still asked a question.

"Your Highness, will you also have your own offspring and army in the future?"

Kara finally couldn't hold back and punched the nun on the head, making her cry out in pain.

"Ah! I'm sorry, Head Sister... but I'm just curious, after all, a battle nun can't become an Astartes."

"Shut your mouth, the State Religion is the Legion behind the Primarch."

Leo's expression darkened.

Kara thought the topic had offended him, so she quickly got up to apologize on behalf of the nun.

Unexpectedly, Leo also suddenly stood up, his power armor overturning the table next to him.

"There is a demon."

He sensed chaotic fluctuations deep within the Exile Star, like something submerged at the bottom of the water suddenly rising to the surface, and spreading over a large area.

The nuns instantly stopped smiling, fastened their helmets, grabbed their weapons, and stood up in unison. A series of noisy footsteps came from outside the resting room, and several Astartes ran past the doorway carrying weapons.

Leo waved his hand, and the battle nuns followed behind him, heading towards the chapter leader's operations room to provide assistance.

Emil remained expressionless upon seeing Leo's arrival.

"There are signs of chaotic evil erupting outside," he said. "I'm sorry, but please leave it to us to handle. Please wait patiently."

.

.

But an hour later, alarms blared throughout the monastery, reverberating across the entire underground area.

Gunshots and shouts came from the far end, and it sounded like the fighting had reached inside the monastery.

The blockade was broken, and the blue demons stormed into the monastery gates.

The entire Exorcist Chapter shifted formation, and several Space Marines, more skilled at dealing with these kinds of demons, stepped forward. They wielded chainswords according to the terrain, their teamwork frighteningly sophisticated, clearly not the first time they had handled such a situation.

But what rushed in this time was mixed with something even more powerful. A space soldier who was an exorcist was ignited by blue-green flames, and one of his arm armors was quickly melted and twisted before he was flung away by the demon.

Leo walked to the warrior lying on the ground, enduring the pain, and knelt down to touch the ball of warp fire. The flames vanished instantly, and a radiant glow surged from the warrior's body, his burned arm rapidly healing completely.

Leo's expression grew increasingly grim as he watched the warrior waving his arms in surprise.

These stubborn Space Marines, wouldn't it have been better if I had taken action sooner?

Although these Astartes were not their own offspring, no holy site of the Empire was to be defiled by enemies.

The force should not be too great to avoid damaging the buildings here.

Leo strode forward, and the surrounding holy seals, icons, and badges resonated with a low hum, as if they had finally received a response. A surge of psychic energy spread along the stone wall, directly impacting the demons battling the warriors at the forefront.

The Space Marines felt a warm breeze behind them, and the demon's body began to convulse, crack, and collapse, its soul being burned to ashes in the fire.

The slightly more powerful creature behind it saw Leo as if it had seen a ghost, screaming and trying to return to the other side of the veil, but Leo would not give it that chance. Before the monster could tear open the crack in reality, he punched it through the chest.

The monster uttered something hoarsely and then vanished into the scorching flames.

A Space Marine looked up, his pupils constricting as he saw the monastery relics on his body and the holy inscriptions on his shoulder armor responding to him.

These veteran demon hunters naturally understood how formidable the person before them was. Without saying a word, they regrouped and followed Leo as he advanced.

The corridor finally fell silent after the most dangerous area was cleared and the last blue demon exploded in Leo's palm, with only the crackling of flames and Astartes' heavy breathing remaining.

The warband leader, Emil, staggered over. His injuries seemed to have worsened. He took off his helmet, opened his eyes wide, remained silent for a long time, and then knelt on one knee.

"Please forgive our previous offense," he said. "The Exorcist Chapter salutes you."

The rest of the Astartes also bowed their heads in salute.

Leo looked at them.

"Let me say it again, my name is Leo, and I am the Primarch Zero of the Empire. My stance is simple: I fight for the Emperor, and I fight for humanity."

"The Exorcist Legion is willing to fulfill all your needs, Your Highness."

Emil still couldn't suppress the shock in his heart. The Primarch from the mythical era ten thousand years ago had returned, and the Empire might really be getting better.

He thought of the several comrades who had just sacrificed their lives in battle.

It's a pity. If the Warband's sacred artifact, the Greatsword of Heavenly Punishment, were still intact, things wouldn't be in this state now.
