Marvel: Wonka's Chocolate Factory

Chapter 37 The round fruit is even more unpalatable

The three of them walked out of the house together, and a car covered with a black car cover was parked in front of Stacy's house.

Isabella put her arm around Gwen's shoulder and smiled as she spoke to George:

"George, first of all, take a look at your gift. I picked out the most understated black, guaranteed to be discreet!"

George Stacy was somewhat incredulous. He exclaimed in surprise, "Isabella, you bought me a car?"

"I can't accept this, it's too expensive. I appreciate your kindness, but I'm not with you for money, Isabella, I love you for who you are."

George knew from the beginning of their relationship that Isabella was wealthy, a multi-millionaire. But he wasn't the type to fawn over her.

In fact, George Stacy was initially the one being pursued, but he was later moved by Isabella's sincere feelings, and the two fell in love.

However, he also knew that Isabella had siblings, and George was worried that he would be seen as someone who was after Isabella's wealth.

It would be a huge loss if Isabella's family had a bad impression of her because of a car.

Isabella smiled; she saw right through George's thoughts—what a lovely man.

"George, don't worry, my brother is very supportive of our relationship. So listen to me today, go see your new car."

George kissed Isabella and then walked to the car.

As George pulled back the black car cover, his eyes were immediately drawn to this beast.

As the pinnacle of full-size luxury SUVs, even when the black Escalade is parked quietly in front of George, he can feel its violent aesthetics.

Wow!

Gwen was also shocked. She glanced at Isabella, then looked at her elderly father who was circling around the car.

Gwen was shocked, confused, and puzzled.

What does Isabella see in her father? Is it his age, or the fact that he has a daughter?

Gwen silently made a mental note, determined to ask Isabella about it sometime in the future.

"Gwen, George told me you want to go to Harvard University to continue your studies, is that right?"

Isabella asked very gently.

"Yes, Sister Isabella, Harvard University's biology program is ranked number one in the nation, and I've always aspired to be there."

Isabella took a letter of recommendation from her bag, a traditional paper letter, and handed it to Gwen.

"Gwen, the Totland Group has a project collaboration with Harvard University, and you can join the project team for an internship."

"This letter of recommendation is from Robert Jones, president of the Totland Group. I'm giving it to you in advance."

Isabella's words were like a gentle hammer, leaving Gwen dazed and confused. She mechanically accepted the letter of recommendation.

"Robert is my older brother. Before we join the project team, I will arrange for everyone to have a meal together. Of course, the professors from Harvard will also be there."

Gwen initially thought it was a happy thing that George could have love again, but she never expected that her father would find such a girlfriend.

He's so charming! Isabella is amazing!

Good times always fly by. Isabella and George have work to do, and Gwen has to go to school. Today is no day off!

Following the directions Frank gave her, Isabella sped along the road in her sports car, attracting a lot of attention wherever she went.

Willy Wonka and Frank were waiting for her, and Robert was there this time as well.

Willy Wonka spent one night, at the cost of seven fruit embryos falling off, to successfully ripen a fruit that was about to mature.

After Isabella arrived, Frank began sharing information about the experiment with the Jones siblings.

Willy Wonka then plucked the fruit from the tree; to others, the round fruit appeared out of thin air in Willy Wonka's hand.

"Isabella, have you thought this through?"

"Mr. Willy Wonka, it is an honor for the Jones family to serve you!"

After receiving the fruit, Isabella took a bite without hesitation. As expected, it was awful, just as Frank had described—absolutely awful.

For the sake of effectiveness, Isabella forced herself to eat the entire fruit. She dared not gamble that eating only a bite would affect the results.

Isabella's legs were unconsciously covered in Armament Haki as she crushed the stones beneath her feet.

Willy Wonka was also surprised. Could it be that fruits of different shapes taste different? Alex Browning didn't make such a big deal out of it when he ate the fruit.

Isabella's reaction was clearly a subconscious response after her body felt threatened.

"Isabella, how are you?"

Robert asked with concern, unscrewing a bottle of water and handing it to her. Isabella waved her hand to indicate she was alright, took the water, and drank it down in large gulps, trying to wash away the nausea in her mouth.

Isabella drank the entire bottle before she felt a little better, and then, following Alex's experience, she began to feel the difference in her body.

The fruit, once eaten, seemed to have become one with her body, and Isabella clearly noticed subtle differences in herself compared to before.

Something seemed wrong with her hair. Isabella felt the wind gently caressing her body, but her usually flowing hair remained perfectly still on her head.

She reached out to touch it, but suddenly realized that her body was slowly becoming transparent.

After Isabella noticed this change, the process of becoming transparent accelerated.

Soon Isabella disappeared along with the clothes she was wearing.

Willy Wonka asked, "Isabella, are you still there?"

"Mr. Willy Wonka, I'm still in the same place."

Everyone present could hear Isabella's voice, but they couldn't see her.

Willy Wonka looked at Frank and Robert, but both shook their heads at him. Frank and Robert, even using their Observation Haki, couldn't detect Isabella's presence!

Willy Wonka was in the same boat; his Observation Haki couldn't sense Isabella either. He could only sense the rubble in that location. But Isabella was clearly standing in the same spot.

"Isabella, you can block out Observation Haki. Now, attack me with all your might. Unleash your full power!"

Willy Wonka picked up a twig from the ground and lashed it at the spot where Isabella had just been standing.

The tree branch, though not imbued with Haki, was still a deadly weapon in Willy Wonka's hands.

There was no attack trajectory, no human figure; the tree branch was severed by the sharp weapon before it could even hit its target.

Isabella's belt was a soft sword, which she used to cut the tree branch.

Isabella then coated her flexible sword with Armament Haki and thrust it directly at Willy Wonka. Even under the Armament Haki, the flexible sword remained transparent.

However, Willy Wonka sensed Isabella's use of Armament Haki the instant she used it, and his Observation Haki pinpointed her location!
