Marvel: Wonka's Chocolate Factory

Chapter 54 The Fortune of Midgard

Banner was puzzled, Banner remained silent, Banner trembled.

Dr. Banner feels he's been caught in a conspiracy, unknowingly becoming a vessel for a horrific experiment, and the Hulk is the result of that experiment. Now that the experiment has succeeded, it's time to reap the rewards.

Banner thought of parasitic organisms in the animal kingdom that burst out of the body after the larvae mature, or completely replace the host and begin to control everything about the host.

A chill ran down Banner's spine. He didn't want to become like that, whether it was the Hulk devouring him and bursting out of his body, or his own consciousness fading away and the Hulk living in his skin from then on. These were things Banner vehemently rejected.

Banner's gaze towards Willy Wonka had changed. In Banner's eyes, Willy Wonka was also a pitiful person, whose life had been taken over by a monster after being devoured. Now, Willy Wonka was just a green monster in human skin.

Seeing Banner's somewhat pitying gaze, Willy Wonka wanted to punch him into the dirt. What a dramatic guy!

Willy Wonka's Observation Haki used to be within the normal range, but ever since the Chocolate Fruit grew into the Chocolate Fruit Tree, all of his abilities have broken through the limits of the past.

The evolution of the Chocolate Fruit and Willy Wonka's personal strength complemented each other. After obtaining the Space Stone, Willy Wonka's body became increasingly robust under the nourishment of the enormous energy.

This also greatly enhanced Willy Wonka's Haki. For Willy Wonka now, hearing the voice of all things was simply a matter of whether he wanted to or not. His Observation Haki had reached an inconceivable level of power.

It can even predict the future to a limited extent!

Willy Wonka listened to Banner's thoughts and guesses as if he were listening to an audiobook, never expecting Banner to have such a rich imagination.

"Dr. Banner, you have a vivid imagination. The investors in Alien should let you be their screenwriter; maybe one movie could make you a hot commodity in Hollywood."

"Enough of these pointless thoughts, let's talk about your new job, Dr. Banner."

To Dr. Banner, Willy Wonka's smile seemed wicked, and Banner instinctively shrank back. "Mr. Willy Wonka, what's the new job?"

"My original job can't do without me. Once I've recovered, I'll go back to the lab to continue the research project."

Willy Wonka saw that Banner had not yet accepted reality and was still dreaming of life returning to normal after things were restored.

It seems we need to proactively shatter his illusions and make Banner face reality.

"Dr. Banner, let me show you around the chocolate factory. This will be your workplace from now on."

"We'll talk about your return to the university lab as we walk. The Totland Group will provide you with state-of-the-art experimental equipment, so you don't need to worry about the experimental environment."

Banner had no choice but to go with Willy Wonka to explore this fantastical factory.

......

At this moment, at the summit of the Nine Realms, in a floating fortress that seemed to be built from starlight, a grand banquet was being held. Barrels of fine wine were being brought into the magnificent banquet hall, and every warrior, regardless of gender, was getting completely drunk in this revelry.

Odin, the master of Asgard, the most benevolent ruler of the Nine Realms and the most mad tyrant, sat in the main seat. Despite the army's great victory in this campaign, Odin still did not show a smile.

Odin's single eye betrayed his weariness, making him seem out of place despite being in the banquet hall. His calm, yet sorrowful gaze fell upon Thor, who was drinking heartily in the center of the banquet, and Loki, who was sipping wine from a small cup in a corner.

As Odin grows older, Asgard's territory is no longer as impregnable as it once was, and its former rivals, unwilling to remain idle, want to test Asgard's strength once again.

Over the years, the Nine Realms have been engulfed in conflict, but these were all small-scale rebellions that posed no real threat. It wasn't until the recent rebellion of the Frost Giants that Asgard's prosperity was shattered like a heavy hammer.

This is a war to quell a rebellion. The Frost Giants' rebel army is powerful, and the Asgardian army, led by Thor, has been unable to achieve any major victories for a long time. The stalemate has lasted for a long time without Odin's intervention.

Although this battle brought some results, it was far from a major blow to the rebels.

The frost giants were not seriously injured; instead, they figured out the Asgardian army's current fighting habits, making them even more dangerous.

The greatest benefit of this victory was that it boosted the morale of the Asgardian army. At least these warriors now believed that, under Thor's leadership, they could defeat their formidable foe.

But Odin was not happy at all. Looking at his drunken son with a worried expression, he thought, "How can this drunkard lead Asgard well?"

Growing increasingly angry, Odin simply left his seat, wanting to avoid seeing it. Queen Frigg, sensing the king's distress, followed him to his bedchamber.

"I'm hesitant. The situation is getting increasingly dire, but Saul is still like a child who never grew up. I'm not comfortable letting him enter into slumber."

Odin has a bad feeling that if he enters Odin's Sleep now, Asgard will be in great chaos.

The eldest prince is all muscle and the thrill of battle, but his personal strength is insufficient to intimidate the universe. The second prince is petty and narrow-minded, and also a member of a different race.

Moreover, Odin had already foreseen the changes in the prophecy seventy years ago: in the not-too-distant future, a great war would erupt that would affect all nine realms. If not handled properly, Asgard might perish.

Odin even missed his eldest daughter. Perhaps in this turbulent time, the decisive and ruthless Asgardian princess was more suited to be crowned queen.

Frigga stood behind Odin, gently massaging his temples while using magic to soothe his fatigue and agitation.

In Odin's eyes, who has hundreds of thousands of years of ruling experience, Asgard is currently at its most powerful yet most vulnerable period.

A few days ago, Odin sensed the birth of an extremely high level of energy in Midgard through a special connection between the Nine Realms.

This energy also contains the power of the Space Stone, which Odin was familiar with. When Odin banished the Tesseract to Midgard, he never expected that Midgard would be able to truly master the power of the Infinity Stones.

After realizing this, Odin suppressed the urge to personally go to Midgard to kill this newly powerful being.

Even with the Space Stone, Odin couldn't guarantee a fatal blow. Therefore, it's best to avoid provoking someone destined for greatness unless absolutely necessary.

Having one Ancient One wasn't enough; now there's someone even they themselves are wary of.

Is this the destiny of Midgard?
