Cyberpunk: I didn't cheat.

Chapter 12 Awakening

What is our David doing now?

The answer is that the handsome young man is now surrounded by a group of muscular men. Poor David, he is being lifted up by a tall, muscular man with one hand, like a little chick.

"You were carrying my prosthetic body; now it's time to return it to its rightful owner!"

David had just enjoyed a dreamlike experience of going to the moon with the beautiful Lucy in bed. The big boy had never experienced anything like it before, and he was immediately immersed in happiness until he got punched in the face.

"Uh, cough cough cough! Your cybernetic body?"

The burly man chuckled sinisterly.

"Yes, I paid the money, but suddenly I couldn't contact the seller anymore. By yesterday, I had lost interest and it was much easier to come directly to them."

David coughed twice more. He remembered the unexpected large sum of money at home. He had found the money by chance after his mother's car accident and used it to pay for her emergency treatment. The doctors who took the money wanted to remove his mother's prosthetic body, until she was rescued by Vito, who then paid for Vito's surgery.

The mother probably wanted to return the money and then give the prosthetic body to Vito, but she didn't expect that she had completely forgotten to tell her about finding the money.

"Alright, kid, stop staring! Hey, come check this out and take my prosthetic body off!"

The man with long arms next to him gave an assessment, then said with a grin, "It'll cost money to take it off."

The burly man chuckled twice and said.

"Then let's dismember this kid! Will that make it cheaper?"

"Yes, but not by much, just a tiny bit."

The burly man easily spun David around, then lifted David's foot with one hand and said, "Let's start from here, tear him in the middle, hahahahaha."

Lucy sat by the window, smoking without any expression.

"Hey, are you guys going to make my room all covered in blood?"

David's face was swollen from the beating, and he weakly said to Lucy, "You...you lied to me?"

David got hit on the face again.

"Shut up! If the other party hadn't said they urgently needed the money, I wouldn't have transferred it to them in advance. Hey kid, didn't anyone tell you not to use other people's prosthetic bodies?"

At that moment, a pistol fell out of David's pocket.

"Oh? The kid brought a weapon?"

A strong woman nearby picked up the pistol.

"That's what the burly man said mockingly."

"Constitutional and military unification? You think you can play the role of an angry customer or a hot-tempered driver with this cheap pistol? This is the first time I've done this kind of deal with someone like this in so many transactions! Tell me! Who gave you my prosthetic body?!"

David paused for a moment, then asked.

"Who are your traders?"

The burly man replied, "Gloria Martinez."

"Cough cough, cough, that's my mother."

"Oh? Then why would she give her prosthetic body to her son?"

"Cough cough cough, my mom was admitted to the emergency room yesterday."

"Oh? She made the deal with me the day before yesterday. What happened to her? Was she attacked by the NCPD?"

"No, she got caught up in a gang fight. She was a completely innocent bystander. She went to the clinic, and I found the money to save her, but those people teamed up with the Cleaners to try and take her prosthetic body, cough cough cough. Then she was saved by a kind person."

The burly man seemed to be deep in thought, and he said in a deep voice.

"Go on, kid, you still haven't told me why you got this prosthetic body installed."

David paused for a moment before speaking.

"My mother didn't know I had spent the money. She woke up very late and asked me to give the prosthetic body to the kind people as a thank you gift."

Boom!

The burly man released David, who collapsed to the floor.

Lucy chimed in from the side.

"I met that kind man; he got David the prosthetic body."

The burly man leaned back on the sofa and said.

"Damn cleaners, but kid, you're going way too far."

David paused for a moment.

"I will refund your money, but you will have to wait a while."

The burly man laughed.

"No, kid. Do you know how dangerous it is to insert a random prosthetic body from the roadside into your body? Besides, that thing is military-grade, and it's very difficult to find a replica."

David wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and said.

"I will give you the money you gave to your mother, but..."

"Hey, Mann, come take a look at this."

"What?"

The strong woman handed David's gun to the burly man and said.

"Look at this Uniform, it's been modified and is completely different. I originally thought it was just a shortened barrel, but it's a completely different story. Even the bullets aren't ordinary pistol bullets."

After studying it for a while, the group discovered that it was a weapon disguised in a uniform shape.

The burly man named Mann immediately drew his gun and pointed it at David.

"Kid, you're not telling the truth, are you? How could you have something like this?"

Just then, there was a knock on Lucy's door.

Everyone immediately tensed up, pointing their guns at the door, and Lucy asked.

"Who is it?"

"Hey, hey, is this Lucy? David forgot something, can you open the door?"

The group quickly activated their internal voice communication, and Mann asked.

"Who is that person outside?"

Lucy was also surprised. How did Vito find this place?

"It's the guy who saved Gloria. I didn't tell him his location. Maybe the kid has a tracking device on him."

"Hey Lucy, David, David, are you up to something bad right now? Your mother is worried about you. This is too early for a child. Come on, I'll take you home."

The group quickly arranged themselves into a formation, then had Lucy open the door. As soon as the door opened, Mann went to subdue Vito.

David was anxious; he couldn't watch these people hurt Vito. He made a plan: as soon as the door opened, he would drive the S.A. Weston to help Vito.

"Alright everyone, let David go, or I'll let this string of grenades set off a firework display in this room."

Everyone was immediately startled. Vito actually came out of the bathroom behind them. He was holding a string of high-explosive grenades in his left hand and a military-grade M221 Saratoga in his right hand. However, the gun had obviously been modified, especially the large drum magazine at the bottom, which could probably hold nearly a hundred bullets.

Seeing the pistol that he had given to David in Mann's hand, he spoke slowly.

"Relax, everyone. If I open the door from both sides, there's no way there'll be a single living person in this room. You big guy, take that short and powerful Ghost-Fearing Shot and try shooting at that iron door. Remember, keep the muzzle down, don't go looking for trouble."

Mann fired a shot at the iron gate, piercing it and sending a large spark flying. The bullet was large caliber, but the recoil didn't change much.

"See that? This Saratoga I'm holding is way more powerful than that thing. You guys put down your weapons, release David, and we can talk things over. Is he in there yet? If he is, I'll pay you normally, but don't try to ask for an exorbitant amount."

Everyone was completely confused, wondering what "go in" meant, but they were extremely wary of Vito's gun, and the two sides were locked in a stalemate.

"Hey, Lucy, don't even think about blackening me. And put down that little toy you're itching to touch."

This standoff put immense psychological pressure on both sides, at which point David stepped between them.

"Can we talk? I'll work to pay off your debts, and I can use S.A.S.A.S.T.

Mann tensed up again; he'd forgotten the kid was carrying a military-grade S.A.W.S ...
