Carlo's prosthetic hand emitted a burst of flame.

Several people gathered around Carlo's hand and lit cigarettes.

Vito took a deep breath. Since arriving in Night City, Vito's smoking habit had become increasingly severe. Even in the Badlands, where the air quality was slightly better, he would always light up a few cigarettes in his spare time.

"Putting a lighter on a prosthetic body, Carlo, you're quite creative!"

Jack looked at Carlo's prosthetic body with amazement.

Carmela rested for a while and now looks much better.

Vito still gets a tingling itch when he thinks about the camp.

Jack then asked Carol a question.

"Was the person Navito photographed the one who lied to your sister?"

Carlo crushed the embers of the cigarette with his hand.

"That bastard, Simpson, I'll definitely kill him!"

The cigarette in Vito's mouth was mostly burned, and the ash on it naturally dripped down.

"Don't worry, you'll have plenty of opportunities to get revenge. I've taken a good look at the robots in the Bayonet Gang's camp. Although they're charging, they're ready to fight at any time, so the Bayonet Gang isn't afraid of anyone attacking their camp."

Vito and Jack nodded, then plunged into the darkness.

They crept slowly toward the town in the dark, choosing to sneak in from the west, where the police station was closest and the security was laxest, with only one night owl patrolling the route.

They first crawled into a dilapidated house, where they could better avoid the drone patrols.

Vito and Jack crouched on the ground, their footsteps so light they were barely audible.

After exiting through the side door, the two found their way to the auto repair shop next to the police station. Their plan was to go from the roof of the auto repair shop to the second floor of the police station, since the two buildings were very close and just a step away.

Vito slammed open the side door of the auto repair shop. The dilapidated door creaked open automatically, causing Vito and Jack to reflexively draw their pistols, ready to kill the person who had been alerted.

But no one paid attention to the sound of a broken door; the night ghosts here were already used to the town's dilapidated state.

Vito breathed a sigh of relief and gestured for Jack to come with him into the auto repair shop.

The auto repair shop had long been emptied out; only the holographic television on the ceiling remained as original furniture.

A few supply crates were casually placed in the room and turned into beds. Three Night Wanderer Gunners wearing headbands and watching Mewtwo were twitching on the beds.

Vito glanced around and, seeing no heavy prosthetics, gestured for Jack to make his move.

He pulled out a knife and plunged it into the heart of one of the night-roaming gunslingers, while Jack swiftly snapped the necks of the other two.

Once on the rooftop, Vito learned his lesson and didn't hack into the broken doors and windows. He changed his plan and decided to sneak down from the third-floor roof.

A signal station is set up on the roof of the third floor, so there is a door that can be opened manually, and the noise is controllable.

He messaged Jack, telling him to wait discreetly on the roof of the auto repair shop, and then quietly climbed up the police station wall to the third floor.

After connecting to his personal network and inserting the external disk chip into his brain-computer interface, he sent a message to T-bug.

[The data cable is connected, and the puppet has been uploaded. Please download the file as soon as possible.]

[Received, releasing the crawler.]

About five minutes later, T-bug finished and sent a message to Vito saying that the connection could be disconnected.

Vito removed the chip from the brain-computer interface and stored it in a specially made magnetically shielded box.

The entrusted objective has been achieved; now all that remains to be dealt with is the Bayonet Gang.

He and Jack planned to exit through the police station's main entrance and then quickly drop an electromagnetic bomb at the location where the robot was charging.

Although Vito was very confident in the electric fireworks he had created, the C7 explosive in the electromagnetic bomb had a small detonation range and could not destroy the paralyzed robot from a great distance.

Vito glanced at the robot in the middle of the town and estimated the distance.

At a distance of about seventy meters, it would take three seconds to launch the electromagnetic bomb, and after detonation, the two would immediately retreat from the west.

Vito pulled out a bomb and gestured for Jack to take out the person blocking the doorway.

Jack stepped forward and choked the night ghost to prevent it from making a sound. Just as he was about to break its neck, Jack was struck hard in the abdomen.

"Damn it! Vito, it's a robot!"
