Hogwarts: This holy light is righteously evil

Chapter 7 Peeking into Immortality! What if we encounter immortals by then?

After parting ways with Regulus, Puni returned to his own castle.

Regarding his "inauguration" banquet, Regulus meant that he needed to discuss it with Malfoy.

Puni didn't have any objections to this; it was just a party after all.

—For Puni, it was indeed a gathering with other people.

"Yeah, now that I have my own wand, Mom's old wand can just gather dust."

Puni sat down on the sofa, and Morty immediately appeared with a plate, bringing him some fresh fruit.

"Master, please have some fruit. You're about to become a true wizard, and you need to replenish your nutrition." Murthy stared with his round eyes and big ears pressed against his head.

"Okay, put it here, I'll eat it." Puni nodded, holding the wand and examining it.

Moti respectfully put the things away and then left the room.

"12 and 3/4 inches, walnut wood, the heartstrings of a dragon, wild yet unyielding, just like my mom."

Puni put Bellatrix's wand back into the box and then into his pocket.

His pockets had been magically expanded by Regulus; they looked small, but were actually quite spacious inside.

"I didn't trigger any rewards. It seems my magic level is still not high enough. Even with my own wand, it hasn't affected my level."

Puni glanced at his system.

The system kept calling him some kind of holy light, but in reality, he didn't feel any different from other people.

At most, he can just conjure up a bomb and kill someone.

This is indeed different from other wizards.

"Alright, time to read. Improving your magic isn't something that can be done overnight."

Puni fiddled with his new wand for a while, and then asked Morty to find a thick stack of books and place them in front of him.

Puni had a very precise plan for his future.

As an elegant nobleman, he possesses a deep understanding of magic and attempts to combine it with his own holy light to see if he can forge a path that no wizard has ever truly trod.

—Peering into Immortality!

Yes, wealth was not part of his plans.

Money is a very boring thing for him; he doesn't like money.

But he was quite interested in magic.

When Puni read this work in his previous life, he was very puzzled.

Why do people still die of old age even though magic exists?

It's not that he wants immortality, but rather that he wants to see what kind of path immortality actually takes.

"Having come to such a magical world, wouldn't it be incredibly boring not to explore the truths we imagine?"

What if he were to meet a deity after achieving immortality?

Isn't that an interesting thing?

Time flies.

The starlight faded away quietly after a night.

The candle on the candlestick had long since burned out, leaving only a small, charred wick.

The morning light streaming through the window shone on Puni's profile, clearly outlining his focused expression.

Moti appeared quietly beside Puni, his round, light brown eyes filled with helplessness.

It's already this late.

His young master was still leaning back in that velvet-covered armchair, engrossed in a thick book, completely oblivious to his arrival.

"Master," Moti said softly, "it's almost dawn, and you've been reading all night."

Puni didn't react at all, his brows were slightly furrowed, and he was muttering something under his breath.

Seeing this, Murthy had no choice but to take two steps forward, carefully raise his paw, and gently touch Puni's sleeve.

"Master, you should take a rest. Your eyes will get tired. Besides, breakfast has been prepared in the kitchen. You need to replenish your energy to continue reading."

This finally had an effect.

Puni snapped out of his daze and blinked.

"Oh, another whole night?"

"Master, you're always like this. You can read those books anytime, why do you disregard your health like this?"

"Morty, you don't understand. When you're interested in something, you can do it for three days and three nights without getting tired."

Merti tilted his head, thought for a moment, and then blinked as well: "No, Master, I understand!"

"Just as Morty enjoys serving his master, even if Morty were to serve you for three days and three nights, he wouldn't get tired!"

Puni was taken aback for a moment, then couldn't help but smile: "It seems our little elf has become smarter again, and can even argue with its master now."

Merti's eyes widened slightly, then quickly lowered again, afraid that his master would see the surging joy in them.

The large, bat-like ears, which had been lying obediently on both sides of the neck, were now slightly red and couldn't help but tremble gently twice.

"Morti just... just wanted his master to rest well..."

Looking at him like this, Puni's smile deepened.

Sometimes he felt that house-elves really were just like dogs.

It can only talk, and it also has its own unique magic.

How could someone dislike someone who loves their owner so wholeheartedly, or even beat and scold them?

Puni rubbed his slightly sore eyes and stretched his stiff neck.

"But Merti, you've come at the right time. I've read a very interesting book." Puni held up the book in his hand. The cover was made of dark brown dragon skin, and the title was embossed on it with ancient magical script.

—Bloodline Resonance: Tracing the Magical Origins of Pureblood Families

"This book records some of the Lestrange family's heritage, mainly about 'blood magic,' which somewhat overturned my previous understanding of magic."

He casually flipped to the page with the bookmark: "It says here that the magic of pure-blood families is not simply based on talent or acquired skills, but is deeply bound to the family's bloodline."

"The Lestrange bloodline contains the magic of 'contracts' and 'control' by nature, which is why our family has produced many wizards in history who are skilled at making magical contracts and taming magical creatures."

"What's even more interesting is that the book also mentions that this bloodline magic can be activated through specific meditation methods, and can even resonate with family heirlooms."

"However, I tried it, but I didn't meditate on anything. Also, it seems that my family doesn't have any heirlooms. Perhaps we should go to Gringotts to check this out."

Merti stood aside without saying a word, his eyes shining as he watched his little master chatter on and on.

Murthy likes her little master like this.

Merti prefers to stay by his little owner's side.

After Puni finished speaking, Moti continued, "Master is truly amazing! Please, my wonderful little master, have breakfast. Breakfast includes your favorite honey pancakes, hot milk, and fresh fruit, all specially prepared for you by Moti."

Puni then felt the hunger pangs in his stomach. He closed the book and placed it on the table.

"Okay, let's go eat first!"

He stood up, stretched, and his bones made a slight cracking sound.
