Norn recognized the book. He had read through "The Strange River Dungeon Guide" several times in the past few days and had a general understanding of most of the monsters in it.

This monster isn't very dangerous; it can be killed completely with a little higher-level fire magic. However, it's almost immune to physical attacks, which is giving Onsk, a Muggle, a real headache.

Onsk sheathed his scimitar and pulled Norn away to escape.

However, as soon as the two turned their heads, another lump of flesh fell from the tree.

A fleshy whip shot out from the fleshy tumors with monkey heads stuck in them behind them, but the two reacted quickly and dodged it in time.

The fleshy whip pierced into the opposite tumor, like a rubber band stretched to its limit, pulling the two lumps of flesh closer together.

Finally, the two lumps collided like cannonballs, the huge impact creating a ripple on the muddy ground, and they combined to form an even larger lump.

The tumor extended more whips, looping around Norn's neck, legs, and waist, leaving him with no chance of escape.

The flesh whip tightened forcefully, and Norn's face turned a deep liver color. The intense feeling of suffocation was like a giant hand extinguishing all hope of life.

Am I going to die here?

Damn it! I'm so unwilling to accept this!

In the instant his consciousness faded, a dark figure appeared in Norn's gradually blurring vision.

The tumor slowly dragged the unconscious Norn over, pressing him into its sticky flesh, which was covered in pustules and body parts, until it completely engulfed him.

The next second, a blinding bolt of lightning struck the tumor, and the violent explosion blew most of the tumor away!

The massive shockwave created a shallow crater in the surrounding mud, and the intense heat from the lightning strike ignited the mangled tumor!

"Hmph! Haven't you heard that there's always a way out?"

A dark figure landed on the tree trunk, the magic crystal on its chest emitting a faint purple light.

In the instant he lost consciousness, Norn immediately switched his focus to the passing monster.

This is also a monster from the sixth floor: Barnabas.

Like the Rock Dragon Lizard, it is a monster that craves magic, but Barnabas is even more brutal and terrifying.

Barnabas not only possesses extremely well-developed limbs, but can also use incredibly powerful lightning magic.

Norn grabbed the monkey's head with one hand and crushed it with a gentle squeeze.
