The demi-human soldiers led Pulshi to the entrance of the basement and stopped there. Norn then led Pulshi down.

Musolo had been waiting for a long time beside the old, enormous white tiger.

The hidden door in the stone wall behind it had been smashed open, and its massive body almost blocked the entire doorway. Its thick arms were crossed over its chest, and its bear-like eyes were sizing up the thin human in front of it with a sinister look.

He had no good feelings towards the human who killed his soldiers.

"Come on," Mussolo said, turning around.

"Wait, I want you to swear an oath that you will release me, whether I cure your wife or not." Pulcí paused, waiting for Mussolo's reply.

"I swear in my name, Musolo, whether you can cure it or not, I will give you a generous reward and send you away from the City of Light," Musolo said, raising one hand.

Pulsi then followed.

Pushing open the wooden door, Norn returned to the room.

The room was still messy, but unlike last time, this time Mrs. Mussolo was sitting on a wooden chair, eating small bites of steak on the table. Although she was still frighteningly thin, her complexion was noticeably better than before.

"I gave it the remaining three bottles of Soul-Stealing Water, and now it's conscious," Musolo said, pointing to the three empty glass bottles next to his wife.

With his shackled hands, Pulsi held a blood crystal, the one he had chosen on the road, the one with the least pleasing "personality".

Musolo stepped forward, embraced his wife, and gently kissed her forehead: "It's alright, you'll see your son soon."

The woman in its arms chuckled softly, "Will it be disgusted to see its mother like this?"

"If it dares to do that, I'll beat it into a pig!"

The couple exchanged a smile, then Mussoro stood up and said to Pulsi, "Let's do it."

Red light flowed from the blood crystal. Pulsey reminded his wife, "In a moment, you should blow your nose as hard as you can."

Mrs. Mussolo nodded. "Thank you for your help, sir."

The next second, the lady stiffened, fell to the ground and began to convulse, making indistinct noises. Then, like Pullshi, blood began to flow from her nostrils.

Although Mussolo had been mentally prepared for this scene after hearing Norn's description yesterday, he still turned his head away, not daring to look any longer.

This agonizing atmosphere lasted for a long time, until Pulcí finished speaking, at which point Mussolo turned his head away.

Its wife lay on the ground, half of her clothes stained with blood, surrounded by large and small pieces of rotten flesh.

Musolo rushed forward, ignoring the disgusting minced meat, and gently picked up the lady.

Seeing its eyes slightly open, Mussoro was overwhelmed with excitement. After placing the lady on the bed, it solemnly bowed to Pulshi.

"I, Musolo, chieftain of Miguang City, thank you for your great kindness." Its voice was hoarse but sincere.

Pullshi waved his hand, his tone returning to its usual irritating manner: "Stop talking nonsense, you'd better keep your promise."

Musolo nodded. "Of course, I'll arrange a carriage to take you away from Miguang City later, and I'll also give you a large sum of money."

Upon hearing this, Pulsey finally laughed, then turned to Norn and said, "And my wives! You have to give them back to me!"

Norn nodded in agreement.

After crossing the narrow stone steps and emerging from the basement, Pulsi followed Musolo, looking radiant as they walked past the demi-human soldiers stationed there.

Just then, a very faint sound of metal scraping came from behind.

Pulsi's pupils contracted sharply as a slender sword pierced the back of his head and emerged from between his eyebrows.

Berto stirred it gently, then pulled out the needle sword.

Pulsi's body suddenly lost control and he collapsed limply to the ground.

Musolo turned back and looked coldly at the corpse on the ground, as if the gratitude and tears he had just shed were the work of someone else.

"As expected, he can't be let off easily." Norn shifted his gaze from Pulsi's corpse; Mussolo's method of dealing with him reminded him of Onsk.

Two soldiers carried Pulshi's body away. Musolo said to Norn, "I'm sorry to have embarrassed you. I'm not a fickle bear, but he killed my soldiers, and I'm not qualified to absolve him of that crime."

Giving him such a quick death was already more than merciful; the families of the deceased were hoping every day that he would be subjected to the most brutal torture.

Norn said softly, "I know, he deserves it."

For the rest of the day, Norn bought a three-story mansion and went to the best market in Miguang City.

He spent a full twelve Heavenly Coins to buy a whole roasted cow, along with a large barrel of expensive Moon Drunken Wine, a pile of fresh fruit, and several boxes of high-end desserts.

At night, he indulged in a feast, and after satisfying his cravings, Norn lay on the soft goose-feather bed, wrapped himself up tightly, and placed a glass of water infused with black lavender on the bedside table.

Although he almost believed Pulsey's story that the Killing Curse Angre had cast on him was a joke, he still had some doubts.

If the Death Curse is real, at least I'll have had my fill of pleasure before I die.

Norn gripped the sheets tightly. Before reaching out to touch that part of his body he hadn't touched in so long, he took a deep breath and then made a mental gesture.

The moment the elegance returned, a long-lost sense of fulfillment welled up inside. Norn almost simultaneously picked up his wooden cup and drank the slightly sweet smoky water in one gulp.

Consciousness quickly blurred, and the candlelight in front of me turned into several dancing orange halos.

Meanwhile, at the Duke's mansion in Angrey.

Angre lay naked on a super-sized bed big enough to sleep ten people, surrounded by four alluring women.

All the surrounding lights were covered with pink lampshades, and the ambiguous light enveloped the entire room.

Angre was panting heavily, his large hands rubbing against his smooth shoulders.

A prostitute brought over a large bowl of deer blood and respectfully placed the rim of the bowl against Angre's thick lips.

"My lord, I have heard of your formidable reputation as the God of War in the Night. It's only just begun; surely we can't end this now?"

"Hmph, of course!" Angre snatched the deer blood, his Adam's apple bobbing twice before the large bowl of blood was emptied instantly.

"Let's go again, I've rested enough!" Angre eagerly got up, but immediately sensed something was wrong.

What's going on?! Get yourself together!

His face gradually turned ashen, and the blush on his cheeks slowly disappeared.

The flirtatious words the four prostitutes used to seduce him had become an insult to him.

"Damn it! A bunch of shameless sluts! Get the hell out of here!!!"

Angel's sudden change in mood startled them, but they didn't have time to think about it and all ran out with their clothes in their hands.

Angre put on a coat and sat by the window, looking melancholy.

"Damn it, this kid found out."
