Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

Ushio excitedly slapped down the monster in his hand, his emotions rising with the increasing speed of the car.

"I usually summon the Ten-Armed Samurai!"

A short man leaped out from the left side of the cow's tail. He had a typical samurai hairstyle and was holding a pair of jitte (a type of Japanese weapon). He swaggered towards the Kanpaku.

"Then, I used a level four Gate Defense Barrier, plus a level two Totsuka Samurai Star Adjustment!"

Niuwei's voice was louder than ever before. This was the first time he had been summoned in unison since becoming a competitive police officer. How could he not be excited!

"Watch closely, this is the power of authority!! Synchronous Summoning, Imperial Guardian!"

Royal Guardian!

One of the most powerful cards in the early Yu-Gi-Oh! environment, it was easy to play, had high attack power, and had a powerful effect that increased field value, such as destroying the Minotaur.

For this reason, the Royal Guardian was once a forbidden card that was locked in a dark room.

It was only after the conditions for its appearance were adjusted by the source number's earth attribute that it was qualified to be released from prison.

Unexpectedly, today the Reaper will have the honor of meeting the guardian of the Unborn Number. In this 5ds era, it has the beauty of strength!

Crowe also recognized the card's extraordinary nature.

"Attack power 2800, watch out, Kanpaku! I can sense that this card is more than just high attack power!"

Guan Bai nodded; of course he would be careful!

"Activate this card to forcibly remove the device! Based on this card's effect, I will return your Guardian to the Deck!"

Niuwei opened the cover card with disdain.

"Resistance is futile! Counter Trap Card, check back, negate your forced escape device, and return it to your deck!"

It's this card again!

This is the second time Kanpaku has gotten this card!

Unfortunately, this card's effect is so straightforward and effective against Kanpaku!

Just as Kanpaku put the cards back into the deck and shuffled them, Ushio entered the battle phase in a high-profile manner.

"Battle phase, Imperial Guardians, tear apart the next-generation searchers!"

The tall, painted-face samurai swung the long rope binding his jitte into a whirlwind, smashing it through the next-generation rescuer's machine!

Amidst the sound of breaking, the voices of Niuwei and Kanpaku rang out one after the other.

"I activate the Guardian's special ability to Special Summon monsters destroyed in battle and sent to the Graveyard to my field in Defense Position! Now, your monsters are mine!"

"Then I'll chain-activate the effect of Next Generation Searcher. When it's destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 Next Generation Controller from my Deck in Defense Position!"

The effect processing was delayed but arrived first.

With their last breath, the rescuers sent a signal into the depths of the dimension. A small, brown robot responded to the call and crawled into the monster zone, arriving on the Kanpaku's field.

The searcher, having exhausted all his strength, was bound by the guardian and dragged onto the field of the bull's tail.

Kanpaku doesn't have the "Run to Steal" card like Crab Bro, so he can only watch his monster fight for his opponent.

Damn it, I want to go toe-to-toe with the minotaurs!

Niuwei rubbed his nose, chuckled, and inserted a card into the Duel Disk.

"Set one card face down, end turn."

[Kanpaku SPC: 1] [Ushio Tetsuya SPC: 3]

During Kanpaku's turn, he drew cards but couldn't find the key card that could turn the tide.

"I... set one card face down, end of turn."

"Just before the end of your turn, I activate the Continuous Trap Card, High Speed Blade! Whenever I have more High Speed Counters than you during my Standby Phase, this card deals damage to you equal to the difference in our High Speed Counters multiplied by 300!"

Ushio loudly explained the card effects, and then went straight into his turn.

"My turn, draw a card!"

[Kanpaku SPC: 2] [Ushio Tetsuya SPC: 4]

"Because your speed indicator is 2 points lower than mine, you will suffer 600 points of effect damage!"

A bolt of lightning shot out from the perpetual trap and struck Guan Bai directly!

[Kanpaku LP: 4000 → 3400]

"Ahhh!!"

The Blackbird slowed down instantly due to the reduction in SPC, and the instability caused by the stall almost caused Guan Bai to lose control of the handlebars.

But there's a sharp bend ahead!

Crowe promptly spoke up to remind him.

"Kanpaku, turn it all the way to the right!"

Before Guan Bai could react, his hands moved instinctively at Kuro's command, twisting all the way to the end!

The Blackbird screeched as it spun around the ground, making a sharp turn just before veering off the road!

Niuwei followed closely behind, and seeing that Guan Bai and the other two were unharmed, he scoffed in annoyance.

"I'm switching the Next-Gen Searcher to Attack mode! Battle Phase, Guardian, attack Next-Gen Controller!"

"You come here too!! You trash from the satellite zone, you don't even deserve to have a card like this!"

The guardian throws out the rope at high speed, and the jitte with its silver tip is about to collide with the controller!

Just then, the trap card was activated, and blue light surrounded the next-generation controller, deflecting all the attacks from the guardian!

"Who are you calling trash? Activate Trap Card: Safe Zone! Select Next-Generation Controller, making it immune to battle, card effects, and card effects!"

At this moment, Guan Bai in the D round timely flipped over the trap card!

"Ha, so the police can't even properly plunder the people's wealth?"

"Crow mocked loudly."

Ushio was furious, but he couldn't do anything about the next-generation controller protected by the safe zone, so he could only vent his anger by punching the next-generation searcher in a fit of impotent rage.

"Set one card down, end turn!"

It's the Kanpaku's turn, time to draw a card!

[Kanpaku SPC: 3] [Ushio Tetsuya SPC: 5]

Guan Bai looked at the advanced mathematics indicator on the cow's tail and felt inexplicably fortunate.

Fortunately, this isn't the High Speed World 2 rule, otherwise all these high-level indicators would be a huge advantage for the bulltail!

Just then, Niuweiwo's voice rang out again.

"Activate a Trap Card, Battle Maniac!"

"Even if you can hide for a while, you can't hide forever! According to this card's effect, all your monsters are changed to Attack Position and cannot change their position until the end of this turn, and—"

The cow tail deliberately dragged out the sound.

"—You must attack all the monsters you can this turn!"

"What?!"

Kro's voice was even more urgent than Kanpaku's; he knew what this card meant!

Under the influence of the battle maniac, Kanpaku, a next-generation controller with only 1400 attack power, had to switch attack modes.

We must fight, as this round will result in a loss of basic points for the Kanpaku.

Moreover, in the next round, it will become a sitting duck for the bull's tail to attack!

Kanpaku only had one copy of the Valley of the Clouds Baby Bird temporarily added to his deck, and he didn't draw any components for Synchro Summoning!

Battle is now unavoidable!

"Combat Phase! Next-Gen Controller, attack Next-Gen Searcher!"
