Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

auditorium.

Joel stared intently at the girls singing and dancing on the stage.

"Is it pretty?"

Guan Bai's sudden voice startled the woman.

Realizing that it was the Regent, Joel breathed a sigh of relief and spoke in his signature aria.

"It's Kanpaku! Your presence adds even more luster to this audience. Congratulations on making it to the semifinals!"

A wave of nausea crept up his skin, and Guan Bai quickly waved his hand.

"Stop flattering me, just focus on your performance."

With a "Okay!", Joel turned his attention back to the pretty girls on stage.

Meanwhile, Kanpaku continued to build his deck in his mind.

After a few more cards were changed, the girls' song and dance performance ended, and the second half of the quarterfinals was about to begin.

Guan Bai turned his head to look at Joel.

Her eyes followed the girls until they disappeared into the doorway at the entrance.

What an undisguised lecher!

Kanpaku also loves pretty girls, but he prefers the pretty girls in the anime/manga series "Sister Card".

Compared to the girl in the card art, isn't it obvious who wins in real life? Will the real-life woman throw out a self-jumping move, or will she set a trap in her deck?

He mentally muttered another complaint about Yor, and then Guan Bai asked about Allen.

"Jol, do you think Allen will be alright?"

Guan Bai thinks his mentality is very problematic!

As an unregistered resident, Kanpaku's first duel was against the police, and he wasn't as nervous or stage-frightened as Allen back then!

Joel patted Guan Bai on the shoulder casually and smiled nonchalantly.

"Don't worry, that kid is just scared and hesitant before going on stage. But once he gets his hands on the deck, he's no longer the honest, insecure Allen he used to be."

Even if he still harbors the shadow of past failures in major competitions?

Guan Bai didn't ask that question aloud.

Because Joel's expression was more serious than ever before, it was inexplicably convincing.

Damn, why is it that these frivolous women seem so trustworthy when they get serious...?

Guan Bai complained about his inexplicable state of mind.

The host's loud announcement came through the speakers, drowning out Guan Bai's own breathing.

"Next, let's welcome our opponents for the second half of the quarterfinals!!"

"The indomitable Scrap Metal Master, Aaron Green, who has repeatedly fought despite setbacks in the Underworld Tournament! And the Gear Gang's strongest rising star, Yamashiro Takemoto!!"

Kanpaku looked toward the dueling arena.

Allen and that guy Yamashiro Tsuyoshi have already entered the arena.

The seemingly honest Allen was at a disadvantage in terms of presence compared to the tall and imposing Yamashiro Tsuyoshi.

"Ladies and gentlemen, are you all ready to give us your cheers?!"

The host's shouts ignited the enthusiasm of the entire audience.

Cheers and shouts of encouragement filled the air.

Alan stood facing the mountain city, a sense of tension lingering in his heart, and waves of frustration crashing over his mind.

He seemed to already see his own defeat.

But when his right hand touched the deck, Allen calmed down.

On the opposite side of the stands, Kanpaku and Yoru were waving and cheering; the Scrap Card deck was always in his Duel Disk, never leaving him.

Then there's nothing to be afraid of.

"I hereby declare the third match of the quarterfinals open!"

"Duel!!"

【Yamashiro Tsuyoshi LP: 4000】

"I'll attack first!!"

Although Yamashiro Tsuyoshi looked clumsy, he was quick to react and even shouted out the declaration of attack before Allen could.

The excitement of seizing the initiative clearly made Shancheng a little dizzy, and his voice was so loud that it could almost rival that of the host.

"My turn, draw a card!"

The tall, dark-skinned man roughly pulled cards from his deck and slammed them onto the field.

"Normal summoning of mech snipers! Come forth, my warriors!"

A mech warrior appeared in the sky, carrying a machine gun, and crashed heavily to the ground with its steel body, making a loud metallic sound.

Yamashiro quickly placed two cards into the Duel Disk and then ended his turn.

"Then activate the perpetual magic, to the front lines of the mech forces!"

"I'm covering one card, and my turn is over!"

With its long range and hidden dangers, this mountain town seems to be no easy opponent...

An incomplete scrap metal deck will struggle against a mech deck.

Guan Bai observed his board from top to bottom, looking at Allen with some concern.

I wonder how he will handle it.

Allen's turn.

"My turn, draw a card!!"

Alan's excitement was palpable as he pulled out the card.

He is no longer the somewhat reserved and honest man he used to be, but a duelist who fights honorably!

"I send the Scrap Bird from my hand to the Graveyard, and activate my Spell Card, Double Tornado!"

Faced with the difficult problem presented by the mountain city, Allen decisively chose to sweep the table and overturn the game.

Two turquoise tornadoes rose from Allen's duel disk, tearing the area around Yamashiro to shreds.

The backfield is now cleared!

Allen slaps the monster card onto the Duel Disk.

"I usually summon a Scrap Beast, then activate the equipment magic Lucky Iron Axe, equipping it to the Scrap Beast to increase its attack power by 500!"

The sound of an axe being drawn and claws scraping the ground rang out simultaneously, and a four-legged monster clad in iron armor rushed out of the void.

It leaped up, caught the spinning, sharp battle axe in its mouth, and then landed with a thud, letting out a hostile growl at its master's opponent.

"Heh heh, battle phase!"

Allen grinned maliciously, pointed at the mecha warrior opposite him, and shouted an order.

"Scrap Metal Beast, give this weakling a good beating!"

The scrap metal beast's golden joints began to rotate, propelling its limbs to run at high speed, transforming it into a golden and silver whirlwind.

In a flash, the iron axe in its mouth sliced the mech sniper in two like chopping down a sapling.

[Yamashiro Tsuyoshi's LP: 4000 → 3700]

My turn is over.

"Damn it, that wretched brat..."

Seeing his venue being completely cleared out, Yamashiro let out an angry growl.

"My turn, draw a card!"

Looking at the card he had drawn, Yamashiro made no attempt to hide the aggressive intent in his eyes.

Instead of using that card immediately, he took another monster from his hand and placed it on the field.

"My attack indicates the summoning of green parts."

"Now, it's time for my trump card to shine!"

"I send the Mech Fortress and Red Parts from my hand to the Graveyard, and Special Summon the Mech Fortress from the Graveyard!!"

The dueling arena trembled, and the rhythmic clanging of giant gears resounded incessantly.

A colossal blue machine slowly rose from the ground, its iron-black tracks seemingly capable of crushing any obstacle. Its dark machine guns were aimed at Allen's head, as if to smash and tear him apart!
