Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

……

A witch wearing a white mask confronts the Gears, which are enveloped in golden light.

The ground was cracked by the clash between the two monsters, crisscrossing the once smooth road into pieces resembling a chessboard.

This clearly shows how intense the duel just now was.

Aki Izayoi could already sense the tremendous commotion coming from above.

Besides her, someone else actually infiltrated to behead the Gear Gang?

Will this third party affect the mission Dewayne has given him?

It seems we need to get past the current obstacles quickly.

"Dewayne's enemies... perish!"

I'm sure I'll be faster than that person!

……

At the top level, the battle for control of the capital is progressing steadily.

He slapped a card onto the duel disk.

"I usually summon the Dragoon Legion!"

A warrior wearing golden arm guards descended from the sky, assuming a fighting stance to face the monster above the well.

"Activate its effect, I equip Small Javelin Dragon as an Equip Card from my Graveyard."

"Activate the Legion's effect to send Javelin Dragon to the Graveyard and destroy one face-up monster on the field!"

"I choose to destroy your Great Sun soldiers!"

With a wave of his hand, Guan Bai sent Little Javelin Dragon into the Legion's hands with a cheer, transforming it into a straight javelin.

The legion flicked its wrist and fired its spear; the small javelin dragon transformed into a crimson straight line, instantly reaching the Great Sun soldier.

Inoue said calmly.

"Activate Quick Attack Spell, Forbidden Cloth. Reduces the attack power of the Great Sun Soldiers by 600; this effect cannot be negated this turn."

"The effect of the Small Javelin Dragon is that when it is sent to the Graveyard as an Equip Card, it can destroy one card on your field!"

"I choose to destroy the Great Sun Components!"

A sacred veil protected the soldier, enveloping his entire body, and the small javelin dragon's attack on the Great Sun soldier failed.

So it flapped its wings and found another target to attack.

With a loud bang, the equipment card was pierced and shattered in one blow!

Inoue pressed the button for the cemetery, and the Daishin Material emitted a golden light.

"Activates the effect of the Great Sun Component if it is sent to the Graveyard while it is face-up on the field."

"I add one Great Sun Spell Card from my Deck to my hand, and I add Great Sun Threads to my hand."

This is a common effect of equipment used by the Japanese, allowing you to retrieve another piece of equipment from the tomb.

Kanpaku still remembered the effect of the Great Sun Silk that Inoue had searched for: it was a double seal for attack and declaration, preventing the activation of spell and trap cards.

But these double seals don't actually seal off the strange effects; in fact, they're quite drafty.

Guan Bai opened the cover card.

"Activate the Perpetual Trap, Angelic Ascension! Revive the Javelin Dragon in my graveyard, now in attack position."

"In the initial phase of combat, the Dragoon Legion will attack first!"

The legion flew close to the ground, drawing an arc, and delivered a powerful punch to the Japanese soldier's machine.

A burst of sparks engulfed Inoue's body, blasting him back several steps!

Because it's a dark game, even the Kanpaku can inflict real damage on Inoue!

"Then, the small javelin dragon attacked directly!"

Inoue was hit directly this time, and he flew backward, crashing hard into the barrier's light wall.

[Inoue Machi LP: 3900→2900]

However, despite suffering such a heavy blow, Inoue still did not utter a single cry of pain.

It seems that the force controlling him has completely blocked all his senses.

The source of that power must be these Great Sun Monsters...

After all, on DT planet, the Great Sun Monster also has the ability to fuse and amplify with other life forms.

But there must be someone else behind this!

Without a doubt, the mastermind behind this was the missing Yamada Gorin.

Kanpaku pondered what this duel meant for Yamada.

However, all this thinking did not affect his actions.

"I'll use a level three Dragoon Legion, plus a level two Javelin Dragon to summon stars!"

"Exterminate the swarming steel bugs, cleave through evil, and spread justice throughout the planet!"

"Summon Synchro Summon, Allied Forces of Justice - Cataclysm!"

Golden blades emerged from the void, the nemesis of all light, the Calamity Worm leaving trails on the ground as it boldly entered the battlefield.

"I'll set one more card over the table, and my turn is over."

"My turn."

"Activate Double Summon. I may perform two Normal Summons this turn."

"Summon the Great Sun Prism Pillar, the Great Sun Vanguard."

The three-sided pillar-like mech descended from the sky like a boundary marker, surrounded by a rainbow-like halo, giving the shimmering golden battlefield a dreamlike quality.

A warrior with a giant golden arm hovered in front of it, its golden light compressed inward, ready to erupt at any moment.

Inoue waved his right hand, issuing commands like a machine.

He didn't give Kanpaku the feeling of being a duelist, but rather a "mastermind" who commanded.

"I used a level 4 Great Sun Vanguard, plus a level 4 Great Sun Prism Pillar for star adjustment."

"Synchronization Summon, Epsilon the Great Sun".

The sky began to radiate an abnormal light, like the heat waves under the scorching summer sun, but within the distorted patterns flowed a fusion of metallic colors.

The ethereal melody swirled among the golden clouds, spiraling downwards and echoing through the streets and alleys of the entire satellite district.

Tonight, all the sleepless residents of the satellite district witnessed this magnificent divine light!

Its silver-white body is adorned with gold decorations, and its huge mechanical wings emit a faint glow, with a golden halo making it both magnificent and sacred.

"Pay 500 base points to activate the effect of the Great Sun Pillar in the graveyard, equip yourself to the Epsilon Great Sun, and increase its attack power by 1000 during the battle phase."

[Inoue Machi LP: 2900→2400]

The illusory image of the prism transformed into chains of light that coiled around the Epsilon Sun, wrapping around the giant golden ring behind it.

The golden light of the sun was further enhanced by the spreading rainbow-colored clouds.

"Then equip the Great Sun Threads and Great Sun Fragments in your hand to the Epsilon Great Sun."

"Activate the effect of Epsilon to send the Sun Fragment to the graveyard and destroy your Justice Allies - Disaster Worms."

Epsilon raised his hand, releasing a judgment that descended from the sky from his palm.

The enormous sphere of light engulfed the calamity insect, dissolving it into holy light without even making a sound of explosion.

"The effect of the Great Sun Fragment: I retrieved another Great Sun material and equipped it to Epsilon."

[Eight Stars] 2800/1200 → 3400/1200

Attack power 3400!

Including the 1000 attack power gained during combat, that's 4400!

That's enough to wipe out Guan Bai's base points!

Furthermore, since the Great Sun Silk can seal the magic traps during the attack declaration, if it declares battle, the Regent is doomed to lose!

Just before entering the battle phase, Kanpaku activated the last card on his field!
