Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

The image zooms in continuously.

Guan Bai saw a tall man wearing a black trench coat with three horizontal and vertical lines on his face, resembling criminal marks.

Just like battle markings.

It's Yamada Gou!

Before him lay the vast ocean, parting to both sides!

A path of light appeared beneath Yamada Gorin's feet, extending continuously towards the seabed, ending in a shimmering golden light!

Kanpaku realized that Yamada Gorin's goal was nearing completion!

What does it mean that Epsilon Da Ri plays this video for himself?

Do you want to go there yourself?

A message came from the Duel Disk.

Joel: Kanpaku, where are you now?

Guan Bai replied immediately.

"Currently at the Gear Gang headquarters, planning to head to the west coast of the Satellite District."

"We'll meet there."

Just as Kanpaku finished expressing his intention to set off, golden light burst forth from the card art of Epsilon Dainichi!

The golden-white light instantly enveloped all directions, so bright and dazzling that Guan Bai couldn't help but close his eyes.

A wave of dizziness surged from the depths of his brain, instantly making Guan Bai sway and feel nauseous!

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself facing the sea that parted to the sides, and a path of light that led straight to the seabed!

I'm already standing on the west coast of the satellite region!

Guan Bai stared in surprise at the card in his hand, a faint glimmer of light still lingering on it.

Is this even possible?

Epsilon determined that Kanpaku had accepted the invitation, so it used its power to send Kanpaku directly to his destination!

The roar of an engine could be heard from the path of light formed by tiny golden runes.

It's a Series D round!

Yamada Goro has already set off!

Kanpaku quickly called for the Planet.

A crimson streak of light pierced the night sky, approaching from the horizon with a low growl like that of a soaring eagle, until it reached Guan Bai's side.

He stepped onto the Planet, revved the engine, and roared into the light path.

A fierce wind, carrying moisture from the towering sea on both sides, slammed into Kanpaku's mask.

He accelerated again, moving forward at full speed.

The spiraling airflow burst forth at incredible speed, cleaving through the wind and water that blocked its path, revealing the dark shadow ahead.

Yamada Gorin's figure was already in sight!

……

Gear Gang Headquarters.

The rooftop was overturned.

Aki Izayoi looked at the devastated ground and the unconscious Inoue Maki with mixed feelings.

After dealing with the thugs, she immediately used the black rose vines to climb to the top floor.

Unexpectedly, the guy who arrived before her had already disappeared.

And they left no clues whatsoever.

There was no blood on the ground, and even the footprints seemed to have been erased.

This mission can be considered a failure.

Despite going to such great lengths to infiltrate the satellite district, they still failed to bring back the power that Dewayne had mentioned.

What Izayoi Aki was left with was astonishment and confusion.

If it were herself who was fighting Inoue Maki, it would be impossible for the outcome to be decided in just a few rounds!

And the marks are completely undamaged!

How could he defeat such a powerful mental duelist so quickly? Just who is that guy?

……

Joel was driving at full speed toward the Gear Gang.

Suddenly, Allen, who was standing next to him, shouted.

"It's a message from the Regent! He said he's dealt with the Gear Gang and is heading to the west coast of the satellite district!"

"I'm delighted," said Joel.

"Really? That's great!"

As expected of the duelist she favored, he was able to easily defeat even such a formidable opponent!

Yanwu Xin sighed.

"That enemy was a powerful duelist with a strong will; I didn't expect Senior Kanpaku to defeat him so quickly!"

It seems that even after the tournament, Guan Bai did not stop his progress and continued to grow stronger.

That's the kind of friend that Yanwu Xin should pursue!

Joel happily belted out a soprano tune.

"Hahaha~ As expected of the Regent! Alright, let's head to the beach! Even heroes need their support team!!"

The black van performed a drift at the street corner, nimbly turning towards its new destination.

……

Yamada Gorin had already heard the sound of the D-wheel behind him.

"Damn it, how did anyone find this place?!"

His plan was flawless!

The duel ceremony is held at headquarters, and the commotion at the beach is concealed by the darkness of night.

Even if a bright light attracts the police, those good-for-nothings couldn't possibly arrive that quickly!

There's no way anyone could find him here!

He turned around and looked at the duelist who had chased after him. Instantly, his pupils dilated in shock!

Trailing a red streak of light, the black D-wheel was ridden by none other than the recently infamous Duel Assassin!

"Why, why is the Duelist Assassin here?!"

Hearing Yamada's incredulous roar, Kanpaku responded hoarsely.

"Of course, it's to hunt down your deck."

Without giving Yamada a chance to react, Kanpaku pressed a button on the Planet.

"Forced Duel Mode, Begin."

"High-speed world, activated."

Yamada Takenori stared in astonishment at the unfolding field card on his D-wheel display screen.

This is a forced duel within the police system!

How is that possible?!

"Duel, get ready..."

The mechanical, mixed sounds jolted him out of his dazed state of mind.

Thinking about the card he was about to receive, Yamada Gorin felt a surge of anger.

"Damn it, no one can interrupt my grand plan. Since you want a duel, then come on!"

He has been painstakingly planning his ambition to unify the satellite regions for a long time, and he will not fail at this juncture!

No matter if they're duelists, assassins, or cops, nothing can stop my determination to reach the heavens!!

"Duel!!"

[Kanpaku LP: 4000]

[Yamada Gorin LP: 4000]

The duel begins the instant the two D-wheels cross the parted sea surface and enter the water!

"I'll make the first move!"

As the one who opened the path of light, Yamada seized the initiative as if divinely aided!

However, despite having the first strike, he only managed to place one card!

"My turn, I set one card face down, end my turn."

His actions were completely unexpected by Kanpaku!

If you can't take down the monster first, do you just simply set up a trap?

What does he want to do?

Is it some kind of burial site built for traversing rapids?

But no matter what, the pace of Guan Bai's card releases will not change because of this.

"My turn, draw a card!"

[Kanpaku SPC: 1→1] [Yamada Tsuyoshi SPC: 0→0]

The card swished through the air and landed on the Planet's duel disk.

"I hereby issue a defensive order, Dragoon Regiment - Military Officer!"

Two pairs of white eagle wings stirred a gentle breeze, and a warrior wearing an eagle-headed helmet appeared from the right side of the regent.

[Dragon Rider Regiment - Military Officer]

【Effect】

[Birds and Beasts/Wind]

[One Star] 500/500

"Activate the effect of the Military Officer: When he is successfully Normal or Special Summoned, send one 3-star or lower Dragon Knight Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard."

"The card I want to send to the grave is the Square Dragon!"

"Cover two cards, end turn."
