Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.

Chapter 101 Mr. Zhuoyue Saves the Day!

"We should go find the Mad Hatter next," Su Mo said to the four of them, his gaze sweeping over the colorful, dreamlike forest.

"Maybe we should jump down the rabbit hole?" Harley suggested, pointing to a dark hole in the ground.

"I don't think this is a good idea." Green Arrow frowned, nocked an arrow, and aimed it at the hole. "There might be a trap below."

"But we have to do it!" Damian said firmly, his eyes sharp.

He walked to the edge of the cave, and without hesitation, leaped into the air, his black cloak unfurling behind him like a Batman roaming the night.

The group exchanged glances and then followed suit.

As expected, there was a trap below. Before the group could even get their footing after landing, a large number of giant axe guards surged out from all sides.

Their sturdy bodies were like a city wall, and the giant axes in their hands gleamed coldly, completely blocking everyone's view.

"Kill these intruders!" roared the leading axe-wielding guard, raising his giant axe and bringing it down on the group.

Everyone was on high alert, but just as the battle was about to break out, a blinding white light shot out from the side. The giant beam of light engulfed the front-row giant axe guards, sending them flying and crashing into the wall, where they all fell unconscious.

A large hole was torn in the wall, and a figure emerged from the smoke and dust.

Wearing a black trench coat and a red T-shaped mask that covered half of her face, she was tall and slender, holding a small metal ball in her hand, the surface of which still emitted a residual blue light.

"Mr. Zhuoyue!" Su Mo exclaimed in surprise, looking at the small ball in the other person's hand, and suddenly realized that all the previous guidance was Mr. Zhuoyue's masterpiece.

"That's right, I am Mr. Zhuoyue." He walked up to the crowd, his gaze firm, sweeping over each person. "We need to go deeper into the cave; we need to bring order back to this city."

Su Mo nodded in agreement.

He thought to himself: Mr. Excellence is the third smartest person in DC, so he must have a lot of ideas. And because he's not the first or second smartest, he won't do many stupid things, unlike Batman and Lex Luthor.

"Mr. Excellence, what are you doing here?" Green Arrow asked, putting away his bow and arrows.

"To make a long story short, it's better not to say anything at all. Let's talk about it another time." Mr. Zhuoyue turned around and strode towards the direction he had previously scouted.

The group followed, and along the way they encountered many criminals roaming around Gotham, but these small fry were no match for this team.

As Mr. Excellence hurried along, he held up the small metal sphere in his hand, pointing to the metal card inside, and explained, "Believe it or not, the situation is much more serious than it seems. Before all the mess started, Batman gave me a mission: to investigate the unknown regions beyond the known multiverse."

He stopped and called to the others to continue hopping down the next rabbit hole.

After landing, he continued, "He realized that something was coming. You've already seen these cards in Gotham's spiral maze. The metal that made them can emit an unusually powerful energy. They are the culprits that changed Gotham."

"That's the power of Barbatos," Su Mo added from the side.

Mr. Zhuoyue was somewhat surprised. He glanced at Su Mo, clearly not expecting him to know these things, but he didn't press the matter. He simply nodded and continued, "That's right, Barbatos. He had his henchmen, the Batman Who Laughs, deliver the cards to Gotham's criminals, instructing them to rebuild the city."

He paused, his tone growing more serious: "And it wasn't just the Batman Who Laughs. There were six other figures beside him, twisted and corrupt versions of Batman that we all know and love."

"Ah!" Nightwing suddenly yelled, covering his head with both hands and swaying.

"Nightwing? What else can you see?" Green Arrow rushed forward, took Nightwing's arm, and asked anxiously.

Nightwing gritted his teeth and forced out a few words: "A gigantic machine, and on top of it are... the Teen Titans and the Suicide Squad!"

Su Mo's heart skipped a beat. How come Teen Titan and Killer Croc were captured again? Where was Starfire? What happened to Raven? What about the power of Raven's father, Trigon?

He shook his head, clearing his mind, and said, "Then we need to speed things up. If we hurry, we can still save them."

The next five quickened their pace and passed the Mad Hatter's checkpoint.

Su Mo glanced in Mr. Zhuoyue's direction; Mr. Zhuoyue had already stolen the metal card from the Mad Hatter with the small ball.

They arrived at Bane's checkpoint—Gotham's sixth ring, the House of Pain.

The place reeked of a mixture of blood and sweat; chains and instruments of torture hung on the walls; and bloodstains and broken bones littered the floor.

Bane transformed this place into a place that constantly drives people to madness. Those who enter lose their minds, fight each other to the death, and offer sacrifices to Bane.

Damian ignored the criminals wrestling together, stepped over the edge of the wall, bypassed the center of the melee, and continued forward.

Just as they rounded a corner, King Robin descended from the sky and kicked Damian in the chest. Damian flew backward, crashing into the wall with a muffled groan.

"Hello, everyone!" King Robin grinned, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth, and let out a shrill, ear-piercing laugh. "It seems it's time for a heart-to-heart talk."

Green Arrow rushed forward, standing in front of Damian, his bowstring taut, arrowhead aimed at King Robin's forehead: "Stay away from Damian, you monster, we won't let you hurt him."

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome! Let's prepare for a brawl—a real brawl!"

On the stands not far away, Bane's henchman, the host, was yelling into the microphone, his voice echoing throughout the House of Pain.

The roar of engines came from the end of the passage.

The Batman Who Laughs burst out in a modified Batmobile, its body painted with manic red and black stripes. On the roof, a Robin Hound was operating a vehicle-mounted heavy machine gun, the muzzle slowly turning towards the group.

Inside the glass cage at the rear of the car, a purple cloak hung down, revealing a face that was none other than Raven's.

"The Batman Who Laughs!" Su Mo stared at the Batmobile and said coldly, "You madman! Why do you want to destroy the multiverse?"

"Hahaha!" The Bat of Laughter roared, its shrill laughter echoing through the walls. "Don't you find it hilarious? And doing this will make your high-and-mighty readers tremble and shudder! I'm going to make this story even crazier!"

The Batmobile accelerated toward Su Mo, but Su Mo did not retreat. He stepped forward, firmly grasped the front bumper of the Batmobile with both hands, his ten fingers digging into the metal, and with a sudden jerk, the entire Batmobile flipped over, tumbling half a circle in the air before crashing heavily to the ground, its four wheels in the air.

The Laughing Bat leaped out of the car window, laughing loudly. It tumbled in the air and landed, simultaneously throwing several nitrous oxide bombs with both hands.

The green gas exploded upon impact, billowing thick smoke.

Su Mo frowned and quickly retreated, but he still inhaled a trace of nitrous oxide. He immediately felt a tingling sensation all over his body, and an uncontrollable urge to burst into laughter surged in his throat.

Pudding stirred violently within him, and the black symbiotic liquid instantly enveloped and rapidly eliminated the nitrous oxide, bringing Su Mo back to his senses.

He glared menacingly at the Batman Who Laughs, then lunged forward, throwing a punch at the Batman Who Laughs? No, he punched the glass dome at the rear of the Batmobile, his fist piercing through the reinforced glass and releasing the raven imprisoned inside.

Meanwhile, Damian and Nightwing are locked in combat with King Robin.

King Robin's punches and kicks were wild and unreasonable, each move a masterful technique, forcing Damian and Nightwing to dodge frequently.

Green Arrow seized the opportunity and drew an arrow from his quiver that emitted a dark silver light—an N-metal arrow.

He took a deep breath, drew the bowstring taut, and shot at King Robin's back.

The arrow shot through the air with lightning speed. King Robin caught a glimpse of the silver light out of the corner of his eye, and his pupils contracted sharply. He grabbed Damian in front of him and pulled him in front of him to act as a human shield in the path of the arrow.

"No!" Green Arrow cried out in anguish.

The N-metal arrow pierced Damian's chest, exited through his back, and embedded itself in his body.

Blood gushed from Damian's chest, soaking his uniform.

King Robin looked down at Damian, who was slowly collapsing in his arms, and let out a wild laugh: "Ha! See that? They've all attacked you, brother! They don't trust Father, they don't trust you, they never have!"

He stuck out his long tongue and licked Damian's nape, whispering in an almost seductive tone, "Listen, the Dark Multiverse is not only your greatest fear, but also the place where your greatest desires are fulfilled."

Look at yourself, brother. You crave Batman's love, just like I do. You know, we're the same. You and I are inextricably linked.

Blood continued to seep from Damian's chest; his face was deathly pale, but his eyes remained focused.

He raised his hand and placed it on the N-metal arrow that had pierced his body through his chest, a barely perceptible smile curving his lips.

"Yes, we are inextricably linked." His voice was strong and powerful, "through blood... and metal!"

He slammed down the arrow, and metal pierced through his body, exiting from his back and embedding itself in King Robin's body.

King Robin's laughter abruptly stopped, his expression froze, and he looked down at the silver arrow that had pierced through Damian's body and was now deeply embedded in his own chest. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.
