After rescuing countless people from the rubble, Su Mo gathered the survivors at the entrance of the underground air-raid shelter.

He had just helped a young man with a leg injury sit against the wall and turned to leave, but then he stopped.

His exceptional hearing picked up a particular set of sounds—heavy, rhythmic footsteps, the sound of metal striking the ground.

The footsteps were coming from the street outside the residential area and were approaching him.

Su Mo took a deep breath, turned around and said to the person behind her, "Go in and close the door."

His tone left no room for argument. The dozen or so people hesitated for a moment, then helped each other move into the air-raid shelter.

The sound of the iron gate closing echoed briefly in the empty underground space before fading into silence.

Su Mo turned around and moved forward quickly; he couldn't make the battle take place here.

Several kilometers away, eight human figures emerged from the smoke in the street.

They wore full-body power armor with a dark gray outer shell and a dull metallic sheen, and hydraulic devices at the joints made a slight creaking sound.

The helmet is completely enclosed, and the face shield is a single piece of dark goggles, making it impossible to see the face inside.

Their weapons were laser emitters mounted on their arms, with thick barrels and burn marks on the surface.

Su Mo stood in the middle of the ruins, confronting them.

Eight alien soldiers stopped and pointed their guns at him.

The leader raised his left hand and made a gesture. The squad immediately spread out, forming a fan shape to surround Su Mo, their guns locked on his body.

They didn't think an ordinary Earthling could pose any danger, but it was best to be careful if someone dared to come alone.

Legend has it that in the history of the Lost Empire, a planetary ruler, a nanobot, was enslaved by a local gang that broke through defenses, breached police stations and fortresses, and was killed. (From the Star Codex: Khorne's Chosen Gang Assassin Kills a High-Tech Nanopolymer Entity)

Their steps were cautious, each one firm and steady. Their tactical movements were precise and their teamwork was excellent, clearly indicating a well-trained squad.

But they didn't open fire immediately, seemingly analyzing whether Su Mo had any weapons.

Su Mo did not move.

He was thinking about plans and looking for opportunities to attack.

His superhuman vision allowed him to see the face through the dark goggles.

They had grayish-white skin, no hair, and facial features that were somewhat similar to humans but sharper. Their eyes were deep-set, and their pupils were vertical. Their expressions were indifferent, as if they were looking at a lamb to the slaughter.

Just as the squad leader turned around...

Su Mo did not let this opportunity slip by.

His body exploded in an instant, and he shot out like a cannonball.

The rubble beneath our feet was blasted away by the shockwave, and the air behind us was torn apart with a sharp bang.

The moment he broke the sound barrier, a ring of white, cone-shaped clouds bloomed behind him.

Before the squad leader could even raise his gun, Su Mo's fist was already upon him.

The fist pierced through his skull.

The power armor helmet began to deform the moment it came into contact with Su Mo's fist.

The alloy shell caved inward, the inner cushioning material tore like paper, and the entire head structure collapsed completely in a fraction of a second. Su Mo's fist entered through the forehead and exited through the back of the head, the knuckles stained with green blood and bone fragments.

Su Mo pulled his fist out, and grayish-white liquid dripped from between his fingers.

The remaining seven soldiers reacted with astonishing speed; as their squad leader fell, their laser emitters fired simultaneously.

Seven red lasers shot towards Su Mo from different angles.

Su Mo's body swayed slightly in the torrent of lasers.

A laser beam grazed his left arm, cutting a shallow gash; another struck his right rib, burning a hole in his clothes but leaving only a charred mark on his skin, the wound beginning to heal the instant the laser stopped.

The rest of the lasers missed their mark and were dodged by Su Mo, melting a row of smoking holes in the ruins behind him.

Su Mo looked down at the wound.

A body that surpasses that of ordinary people.

Then Su Mo reached out with his left hand, grabbed the fallen captain's mangled body beside him, and hurled it at the nearest soldier like a sandbag.

The body, clad in power armor, spun through the air for over ten meters, accompanied by a muffled whistling sound.

The soldier tried to dodge, but the corpse's shoulder struck him directly in the chest.

The power armor's chest plate emitted a piercing metallic twisting sound as the soldier was thrown into the air and crashed into a broken wall, which then collapsed, burying him underneath.

As the other two soldiers dodged, the missile launchers on their arm armors popped open, and two miniature missiles flew towards Su Mo, leaving white trails behind.

The missile was small and extremely fast, cutting through the air with a sharp whistling sound.

As Su Mo watched the two missiles fly towards him, the whole world suddenly slowed down.

As if in bullet time, he saw the trajectory of the missiles, he could see the numbers on the missile casings, and he could estimate their speed.

Su Mo reached out her hand.

His arm traced an arc in the slow-motion world, his palm precisely gripping the missile's body.

The missile trembled in his hand; the explosive device had been triggered, and the detonation sequence inside the warhead was progressing at millisecond speeds.

Su Mo tightened his grip, deforming and compressing the metal casing under his pressure, crushing the internal precision components into a pile of scrap iron.

The missile exploded into a fireball in mid-air.

The shockwave spread outwards, scattering debris everywhere, but in front of Su Mo's steel body, these fragments slid off his surface like raindrops hitting glass.

The entire process took less than two seconds in reality.

In the alien soldiers' perception, they only saw Su Mo's figure flash by for a moment before the missile exploded, and the fireball and smoke engulfed this extraordinary Earthling.

"Dead?" the alien soldier asked his companion in an alien language.

His answer came from a figure emerging from the smoke.

Su Mo flew out of the flames without any injuries.

The soldiers finally showed expressions of fear.

They started to retreat, but it was too late.

After hesitating, Su Mo didn't use his fist again. He remembered the disgusting feeling of the green blood splattered on him earlier and decided to try a different approach.

He took a deep breath, his lungs bulging like bellows, and then—

"call!"

A white stream of cold air gushed from his mouth, swirling in the air like an ice dragon.

Several soldiers were hit head-on by the icy blast. Within fractions of a second, the surface of their power armor was covered in frost, the hydraulic systems at the joints clicked and creaked, and then froze completely.

The low temperature penetrated all the protective layers of the armor in an instant, freezing the soldiers inside into ice sculptures.

Their expressions froze in that moment of terror, their pupils dilated, their lips slightly parted as if they were shouting something, but their voices were forever sealed within the ice.
