According to the movie's timeline, Thor's girlfriend Jane Foster should be doing astronomical research with her team at University College London right now. But this world is so chaotic, it's unclear whether she even exists.

"Heimdall, this is my friend Sumo from Earth. He is very powerful and has brought a message from the Sorcerer Supreme."

A glint of gold flashed in Heimdall's eyes. This young man, who had gained Thor's approval and could deliver a message for the Ancient One, was clearly no ordinary person. He looked closer. The other man was brimming with energy; he was indeed a powerful being, at least on par with himself. Such a person might be an asset to Thor's succession to the throne.

"Hello, Master Su Mo. Thank you for tolerating Thor's shortcomings," Heimdall greeted him warmly.

"Hello, Heimdall. I've long heard of your years of protecting Asgard, and seeing you today, you truly live up to your name." Su Mo responded to the other's kindness and added a compliment.
