"Your Excellency Odin, I have important news to report." Su Mo walked up to the ruler of the Nine Realms and the father of the gods, and spoke frankly without beating around the bush, "Asgard is about to be destroyed."

These words immediately caused an uproar among the Asgardian warriors below the throne. Several golden-armored guards glared angrily, their hands already on their sword hilts. But Su Mo paid no heed to their stares. In all of Asgard, only Thor, Heimdall, and Odin posed a threat to him; there was no need for him to take things slowly.

Odin probably wouldn't say anything. After all, the other side knew very well that Asgard was doomed. Odin had long foreseen Ragnarok and had been delaying it, but he could no longer delay it. This can be seen from Thanos's probing—the Chitauri's attack on Earth and the Dark Elves' attack on Asgard.

Odin, as expected, showed no unnecessary emotion towards Su Mo's words. He raised the Spear of Eternity, paused gently, and the sound of metal striking the ground echoed through the hall. The celestial officials bowed and withdrew, leaving only Thor and Su Mo.

"Su Mo, what does this mean? What destruction of Asgard?" Thor couldn't believe it and strode forward to question Su Mo, but Odin blocked him with the Spear of Eternity.

Ignoring the furious Thor, Su Mo looked at the expressionless Odin, inwardly cursing him as an old fox, and continued, "Ragnarok is approaching. Surtur has been resurrected, and your eldest daughter Hela is about to break the seal you set years ago. It's time to make a change."

"What? I have a sister?" Thor turned to Odin in shock. "Father, you never told me this!"

They were still ignored.

Odin's gaze remained fixed on Su Mo, unmoved by the news. He tilted his head slightly, a hint of interest in his voice: "So? What do you want to do?"

A golden light flashed in Su Mo's eyes. This was exactly what he had been waiting for. He couldn't let Asgard die out so suddenly, leaving virtually nothing behind, just like in the original story.

"I want Asgard and Earth to cooperate," Su Mo said confidently, "to pour technology and resources into supporting Earth's development."

"Oh?" Odin's tone rose slightly. "Then what can Earth offer? No one can get something for nothing from Asgard. The Asgardian army will give those who think that way no more chances."

Su Mo took a deep breath. He knew that what he was about to say would anger Odin, but he would still speak.

"Protection. Asgard will receive Earth's protection in the future."

Sure enough, the air in the hall seemed to grow colder after those words were spoken. A cold glint flashed in Odin's single eye.

Su Mo pressed his advantage: "Father of the Gods, I believe you have also foreseen the future destruction of Asgard and know that what I am saying is true. Earth is the center of the universe, and Earthlings have enormous potential; they just lack an opportunity to develop it."

Odin remained silent.

Thor opened his mouth, as if to say something, but was silenced by the weariness on his father's face.

Odin knew he didn't have long to live. With his death, neither of his sons had reached his level and were not yet capable of taking on the responsibility of protecting Asgard. Asgard truly needed help, and Su Mo was, at the very least, a significant asset in the present moment.

"Very well." Odin's voice was deep and slow. He raised his hand and broke off a small golden branch from the armrest of the throne—a short branch of the World Tree, still faintly glowing—and handed it to Su Mo. "Take my token."

Thor finally couldn't hold back any longer: "Father—"

Odin waved his hand, interrupting him. He looked at Su Mo, then at Thor, his eyes filled with a helpless frustration. But he also knew that Thor's current state was partly his fault. In the end, he didn't reprimand Thor, but simply waved for the two to leave.

Thor opened his mouth, but ultimately couldn't say anything, and followed Su Mo out of the palace.

Emerging from the palace, golden sunlight bathed the two, but Thor's face was darker than the shadows of the underworld. He looked at Su Mo, opened his mouth, and spoke in a bitter voice, "Su Mo, why was Asgard destroyed? Could you have stopped it from happening?"

Looking at the somewhat sorrowful Thor, Su Mo thought for a moment and then asked, "Thor, what do you think Asgard is? Is it this place, or its people?"

Saul paused for a long moment before answering, "Yes...the people."

"That's right. As long as the Asgardian gods are not wiped out, you are destined to rise again. But if many people are sacrificed to protect this land, that would be the true Ragnarok." Su Mo paused, then added, "Moreover, Asgard has made many enemies in its conquest of the universe. With Odin dead, these lurking enemies will keep coming. Asgard cannot be saved."

"What if I'm strong enough?" Thor's eyes lit up.

"Yes, if you're strong enough, Asgard won't be destroyed," Su Mo replied. He actually wanted to see if telling Thor about Asgard's destruction in advance would ignite his fighting spirit and allow him to reach the strength of Avengers: Endgame ahead of time. After thinking for a moment, he added, "By the way, you're Thor, not Hammer God. Don't rely too much on your hammer."

Upon hearing this, Thor froze, standing there motionless, deep in thought. Su Mo didn't disturb him, turning to do her own thing.

Who knows if Thor might suddenly have an epiphany, directly grasp the ultimate secrets of the God of Thunder, unleash his full power, and ascend to the heavens in one step, tearing Thanos apart with his bare hands and trampling Eternity under his feet. Su Mo thought about it for a moment, then shook his head, banishing the thought from his mind.

Afterwards, Su Mo, carrying Odin's token, paced back and forth in Asgard's warehouses. His finger pointed to the mountains of resources: Uru metal, energy stones, magical materials, and complete sets of weapons and equipment. Rather than have these resources burned to ashes by Surtur, it was better to give them to Earth.

Under his command, the Asgardian warriors busily packed and filled airship after airship. Su Mo didn't care whether Earth made premature contact with cosmic forces. Earth was already facing destruction; why worry about so much? Of course, he specifically mentioned: supplies should be given to the Sky Eye Society first.

He still needs to take care of his own power base. If the Sky Eye Society develops well, it will be convenient for him too.

Before leaving, Su Mo also took some Uru gold and the fake Infinity Gauntlet from Odin's vault. Although the gauntlet was fake, it should still be able to hold one or two Infinity Stones, making it more convenient to use the Infinity Stones and reducing the backlash.

One after another, airships took off from the ports of Asgard, leaving golden trails as they headed towards Earth. Su Mo stood at the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge, watching the departing ships, patted the gloves and twigs at his waist, and turned to embark on his journey home.
