Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.
Chapter 63 Invincible Young Hero?
Earth, Global Defense Agency.
Su Mo opened his eyes, feeling a sharp headache, as if he had been woken up in the middle of the night with a fever. He propped himself up on his arms, raised his hand to his forehead, and pressed hard on his temples.
He looked around. An unfamiliar white ceiling, an unfamiliar room.
Su Mo lowered her hand from her forehead, her gaze sweeping over the details of the room as her mind raced.
Where is this place?
My memories are a bit jumbled; the great battle with Dormammu still lingers in my mind.
"Pudding. Pudding must have brought me here."
Su Mo closed his eyes, sank his consciousness into his body, and read the memory fragments of the symbiote that had fallen into a deep sleep due to exhaustion of energy.
"Thank goodness for Pudding. Without it, I might have been tossed into some unknown corner of the universe by the spacetime turbulence, and wouldn't even be able to find my way home."
Thinking of this, Su Mo's tense shoulders relaxed slightly. He threw back the covers and prepared to get out of bed, intending to go outside to bask in the sun and absorb some energy.
His feet had barely touched the ground when the door was violently flung open.
A fully armed special operations team swarmed in, seven people in total, standing in a spread-out formation. They had already raised their rifle-style energy weapons, the muzzles all pointed at Su Mo on the hospital bed.
The red laser sights landed on Su Mo's chest, shoulder, and brow.
The squad leader stood at the front, his left index and middle fingers pressing against the communication headset, listening intently to something.
After hearing the instructions, he raised his eyes and calmly spoke to Su Mo: "Hello, may I ask why you were injured and crash-landed on Earth? Your answer will determine how we proceed."
Su Mo narrowed her eyes thoughtfully.
"Looks like Pudding didn't send him to his original Earth. He didn't come to the Earth in the Marvel Universe, but to another world. I really had a jinx; my words came true."
After thinking for a moment, Su Mo spoke, adopting the most conciliatory tone possible: "Hello, I fell unconscious behind enemy lines and accidentally ended up here. Don't worry, I came with good intentions."
The squad leader didn't respond to his kindness, and immediately followed up with, "Do you know Nolan?"
As he spoke, the red light on his headset flashed even more rapidly. Su Mo could clearly hear the voice from the speaker: "Keep asking, see if the other party is a Vitrum Empire member who is with Nolan."
The Witrum Empire. Nolan.
These two words were like two keys, unlocking a door in Su Mo's mind. He recognized this world.
A young hero who suffers setbacks. Or perhaps, a world of an invincible young hero.
"Are you having some kind of trouble? Is there anything I can do to help?" Su Mo asked directly, no longer beating around the bush. "I think I heard you talking about the Witrum Empire."
He hated this game of probing. Rather than being questioned here, he preferred to lay his cards on the table.
"I think I've already shown my goodwill." Su Mo stood still, her tone calm. "Your weapons are useless against me. You can try shooting. Don't worry that I'll use this as an excuse to start a war."
The command center behind the headset fell silent.
A moment later, an order reached the squad leader's ears: Let him try a shot.
Without hesitation, the squad leader pulled the trigger. A blue laser bullet shot out from the muzzle, hitting Su Mo precisely in the chest.
Then everything was gone.
The laser bullet left only a wisp of dust stirred up by the airflow. Su Mo glanced down at the spot on his chest where the energy blast had grazed him, his expression unchanged.
Almost simultaneously, cold sweat broke out on the foreheads of all seven members of the team. A monster just like the All-Powerful Hero.
The squad leader took a deep breath, suppressing the shock surging in his heart, and said to Su Mo in a steady voice, "Please come with me."
Su Mo nodded, took a step, and followed behind the other person.
But in reality, Su Mo's attention was not entirely focused on the conversation. During the brief interval of that probing, he had already distracted himself by conducting a comprehensive self-examination.
"My injuries have mostly healed; Pudding has completely cleaned up the wound on my arm. My strength has decreased slightly, but I'm still firmly at the peak of the planetary level, so it's not a big problem. I need to find high-energy food for Pudding to consume and recover as soon as possible."
Su Mo pondered this in her mind, then quickly dismissed the thought. She needed to figure out the current timeline first.
As he walked, he observed the surrounding walls and noticed soundproofing everywhere. Was this setup to keep out Superman? But what were those lead plates embedded in the walls for? Did the people of the Witrum Empire have X-ray vision like Superman?
Su Mo put these questions aside for the time being and decided to take the initiative. This world posed little danger to him, with only a few things requiring careful handling.
"Cesare," Su Mo spoke abruptly, his voice not loud, but loud enough for the person on the other end of the earpiece to hear, "What's going on now? Has the All-Round Man revealed his true colors?"
There was a moment of silence on the communication channel, followed by a very soft spitting sound, and then Cecilia's calm voice, suppressing shock: "How did you know all this? What is your real purpose?"
"I didn't originally intend to come here." Su Mo delivered the prepared explanation, "As I said, I came here by accident after falling into a coma. It's just that I've been to the future of your parallel universe and know some of its history."
Su Mo concealed some information, combining the three seasons of the Invincible Young Hero anime he had watched in his previous life with comic book clips he had seen on short videos, and portrayed himself as a visitor from the future.
"I just realized where I am back," Su Mo added, her tone carrying just the right amount of sincerity, "so I wanted to see if there's anything I could do to help."
The communication channel fell silent again, and this time the silence lasted longer than before.
In the silence, Su Mo was taken to the underground base of the Global Defense Agency.
The heavy alloy doors opened one by one after identity verification, revealing a vast and sophisticated underground space. Monitoring screens displayed images from all over the world, analysts moved quickly between their workstations, and the air was filled with the aroma of coffee.
Cecil was standing in front of the control panel waiting for him.
This was an elderly man with white hair, dressed in a well-tailored dark blue suit, his back ramrod straight. Only a small patch of skin on his right cheek was real; the rest of his facial tissue was made of highly realistic bionic materials. This was from when he was young, fighting against a cult, and was exposed to poison gas. Only that patch of skin and his brain remained. This forced him to replace most of his body with bionic organs.
"Hi, Cecil." Su Mo smiled first and extended his hand to the other person.
Su Mo admired the old man. Calm, capable, and daring to face the ruthless, all-powerful killer alone. He was wholeheartedly dedicated to serving humanity, without any selfish motives.
"Unfortunately, Cecil always seems to be forcibly made less intelligent by the author. Well, if he weren't restricted, many villains simply wouldn't be able to continue playing their roles."
Su Mo secretly felt indignant on behalf of Sisser.
Cecil grasped Su Mo's hand expressionlessly. His eyes were sharp, filled with suspicion. He didn't believe this person was merely a harmless, well-meaning passerby.
But he had no evidence. And at this critical juncture when Omnipotent had turned against him, he couldn't afford to offend another unfathomable figure.
The handshake was brief; Cissell was the first to release his grip and cut to the chase: "Since you've come with sincerity, do you have a way to deal with All-Round Man?"
Su Mo raised an eyebrow, crossed her arms, and a confident smile appeared on her lips: "Of course. If I didn't have a way to deal with the All-Round Hero, why would I offer to help you? So, tell me, how's the situation now?"
Cecil stared at him for a long time before finally sighing. He waved his hand, signaling his men to deactivate the high-frequency light shielding device.
The largest screen at the front of the command center suddenly lit up, displaying the monitoring footage being transmitted in real time.
On the screen, Nolan, the all-powerful hero, is fighting alongside his son, Mark, the invincible young hero. The father and son are wearing similar blue and yellow and red and white battle suits and using similar moves to fight against a giant monster as big as a thunder dragon.
Nolan smashed through the monster's shell with a powerful punch, and Mark followed up with a charge that knocked the monster to the ground. The father and son worked together seamlessly, creating a harmonious and touching scene.
If Su Mo hadn't known beforehand that this was just an interlude in Nolan's massacre of humanity, he probably would have been genuinely moved by the scene of father and son working together to protect the Earth.
"Alright, so what are you going to do?" Cissel stared at the screen, his tone devoid of emotion.
No one responded to him.
"Sir," Cisser's secretary pointed to the sky, her voice still filled with shock, "the other side has already flown away."
Cecilia slowly turned her head and looked in the direction the secretary was pointing.
The ceiling had been smashed open, and the wind blowing through the hole carried a chill. Debris was falling sparsely from the edge of the opening.
He then shifted his gaze to another monitoring screen that had just appeared, tracking Su Mo's movement trajectory, watching the dot of light representing Su Mo approach the location of the All-Round Hero at an exaggerated speed.
Cecil raised his hand to rub his forehead, and said in a tone that was both helpless and expectant, "It seems that our helpful person has the confidence to deal with Almighty."

The scene then switched to the other side in the next second.
The battleground between Witrum and his son had completely changed. The immortal Kaito, who had been killed by Omniknight, had been resurrected and launched a fierce attack on Nolan, raining blows on Omniknight's body.
Nolan was parrying. He didn't want to reveal his true colors to his son yet, so he was being suppressed by the Immortal's frenzied attacks.
But his anger was building. Nolan's patience was being worn down inch by inch.
Finally, at the moment Su Mo felt it.
Nolan finally lost his patience. His right hand moved like a blur, delivering a swift chop through the Immortal's chest, his five fingers emerging from the man's back. Then, he grabbed the Immortal's head with his left hand, and with a burst of strength, prepared to tear him in two.
The next second, Nolan's hands were empty.
Su Mo appeared on the ground not far away, holding the unconscious Immortal in his arms. He then handed the Immortal to his side. A ripple spread through the air, and Sissel's figure appeared within the ripple, taking the Immortal before vanishing in a flash.
Su Mo looked at the All-Round Hero with disdain and slowly spoke, "You care that much about the honor of the Witrum Empire? You can even turn your back on a comrade you've known for 20 years?"
