Chapter 64 The All-Powerful Hero's Loving Education of the Invincible Young Hero
"Why can't you ignore the orders of the Vitrum Empire for the sake of Earth?" Su Mo looked at Nolan, who looked exactly like the one in the anime, and asked with disappointment.
"He was willing to violate the Vitrum Empire's breeding laws and fight against them for a group of insectoids. Why isn't Nolan willing to fight for Earth now? Is twenty years of affection for Earth less valuable than a few months' worth of insectoids?"
Su Mo thought to herself silently.
Nolan stared at Su Mo, his gaze dark. The other man knew about the Vitrum Empire and was even aware of his purpose. He guessed that Su Mo was a member of the Planetary Alliance, so he simply stopped hiding it: "I have always been a spy sent by the Vitrum Empire, my sole mission being to weaken Earth's defenses and prepare for the Empire's full-scale conquest."
Upon hearing all this, the invincible young hero Mark was initially incredulous, then overwhelmed with anger and sorrow, his voice trembling as he asked, "Then... what do my mother and I mean to you?"
Su Mo did not stop Mark's questioning. He did not take down Nolan immediately because he wanted Mark to see his father's true nature, and also to see if this was the universe of those evil Marks.
Nolan's answer was exactly the same as in the original series, uttering the words that broke Mark's mother, Debbie's, heart: "Your mother, to me, is more like a pet."
Mark's mind was filled with rage in that instant, and he roared as he punched his father.
Nolan dodged a few times, trying to explain, but Mark had completely lost his temper. Nolan's eyes changed from helplessness to impatience, and he slapped Mark, slamming him into the ground and creating a shallow crater, sending pebbles flying.
Nolan turned and walked towards the pit, preparing to continue his "education of love" for Mark, trying to influence his son in his own way. Su Mo felt the time had come. Mark had seen through Nolan's true colors; it was time to deal with the all-powerful man.
Su Mo moved. His figure vanished from his spot, instantly appearing behind Nolan. Nolan whirled around, his right fist already outstretched. But Su Mo was faster, grabbing Nolan's outstretched fist and clenching his fist. At the same time, he thrust his right leg forward, delivering a powerful kick to Nolan's chest.
The All-Powerful Man, like a kicked pebble, crashed into the ground at supersonic speed. His body shattered protruding rock layers, bouncing and tumbling across the ground, kicking up endless debris and dust, and carving a trench hundreds of meters long. The entire earth trembled slightly.
Nolan scrambled to his feet from the rubble, a sharp pain in his chest causing him to cough up blood, his heart filled with horror. He looked up and saw Su Mo hovering above him, looking down at him.
Nolan gritted his teeth, squatted down, and leaped up with all his might. He wanted to grab Su Mo's waist and use a takedown to pull him down from the air. His arms tightened around Su Mo's waist, his muscles contracted at full power, and his veins bulged. But Su Mo didn't budge an inch.
Immediately after, Su Mo swung his elbow back, striking Nolan in the face. Nolan's body was sent flying, instantly breaking through the atmosphere and being blasted into outer space. His eyes were red and swollen, and his vision became blurred. Su Mo's elbow strike had turned his eye sockets purple, and internal bleeding had temporarily affected his vision.
The All-Powerful Man tumbled dozens of times in space before barely managing to steady himself and stop spinning at high speed. He pricked up his ears, trying to use his super hearing to pinpoint Su Mo's location. But Su Mo was already behind him.
"Are you looking for me?"
Nolan whirled around, only to find the universe completely empty. Su Mo was behind him again.
Nolan turned around again, and Su Mo was still behind him. No matter which direction he turned, Su Mo was like an inescapable shadow, clinging tightly to his back. Nolan's heart sank deeper and deeper.
Finally, the All-Powerful Man gave up his futile dodging. He slowly descended back into the atmosphere, raised his hands, and signaled a ceasefire. Su Mo also descended, curious about what Nolan wanted to say.
"Powerful warrior, your strength has earned my recognition." Nolan's voice was hoarse, and there was still blood at the corner of his mouth. "I believe you have the strength to contend with the Regent."
He paused, then finally explained why he hadn't rebelled against the Witrum Empire: "The reason I dared not rebel is because the Witrum Empire has warriors far stronger than me. If I rebelled, their treatment of Earth wouldn't be conquest, but complete annihilation. But your appearance has given me hope."
Su Mo listened to Nolan's words and was speechless.
"Is this your reason for killing so many people? Who knows if you're just afraid of dying and trying to cover it up?"
Although Su Mo was internally criticizing it, he still felt that Nolan was telling the truth. He hadn't read the complete comics, but there was indeed a plot in the later part of the third season where Nolan rebelled against the Witrum Empire.
"Alright, you succeeded." Su Mo shrugged. "You won't die. But you'll still face punishment. From now on, you'll honestly tell us about the Witrum Empire."
Before he could finish speaking, Su Mo grabbed Nolan by the neck and slammed him into the ground. Nolan's body crashed into the ground, creating a huge crater over two hundred meters in diameter at the point of impact.
The shockwave spread in all directions, causing the entire continent to tremble slightly. It whipped up a dense sandstorm, sending debris flying. In the distance, the glass curtain walls of cities rattled and clattered.
What happened looked like a long time, but in reality, only half a minute had passed. At that moment, Mark finally crawled out of the pit he had been shoved into the ground, angrily roaring that he would continue to stop his father's violence. Then he saw Su Mo in the center of the pit, standing on his father's back.
Mark's roar got stuck in his throat.
Su Mo saw Mark and waved to him with a smile.
Mark shuddered, his anger vanishing instantly as if he'd been doused with a bucket of ice water. He obediently flew to Su Mo and hovered there.
Su Mo pointed to the unconscious, blood-covered Nolan at his feet, and said, "Since he's your father, then you'll have to carry him."
Mark nodded blankly. He had never imagined that his father, the strongest man on Earth—no, the strongest man before—had been so easily defeated. It felt unreal to him. He had thought about stopping his father, but he had never thought he could defeat him.
Su Mo, seeing Mark still in a daze, patted him on the shoulder. Mark jolted, snapping back to reality. He shook his head, bent down, and carefully lifted the unconscious Nolan from the rubble, cradling him gently in his arms. Looking at his disheveled father, Mark felt a lump in his throat. Although Nolan was a criminal he wanted to stop, he was still his father; twenty years of bond couldn't be so easily erased.
After handing the All-Powerful Hero over to Mark, Su Mo went to the corpse of the dinosaur monster that had been killed by the Witrum father and son. Su Mo squatted down, placed his right hand firmly on the monster's massive head, and closed his eyes.
He called out to the unconscious Pudding in his heart. A wisp of solar energy was injected into Su Mo's body, and Pudding, curled up in the black mass, slowly came to life.
A black tentacle extended from Su Mo's palm, piercing into the monster's skull and sucking up the remaining brain matter. Simultaneously, more black liquid gushed from the back of Su Mo's hand, forming a layer of black oil that gradually covered the entire monster's corpse. The black liquid began to decompose and digest.
The monster's flesh dissolved rapidly under the black substance, turning into pudding pudding that absorbed its contents.
Mark, who was carrying the All-Round Hero on his back, felt a chill run down his spine as he watched this bizarre scene and involuntarily took two steps back.
After devouring the enormous monster's corpse, Pudding finally awoke from its slumber. The first thing it did upon waking was to transform into a round, black ball in its consciousness space, rolling around in Su Mo's sea of consciousness and making soft, whirring sounds.
Okay, okay, I got it.
Su Mo mentally touched Pudding's consciousness, stood up, and said to Mark, "Let's go. We need to go back and interrogate Nolan to find the location of their home planet. Otherwise, waves of Vitrum aliens will keep invading Earth."
Mark nodded, picked up Nolan, and followed Su Mo, flying towards the Global Defense Bureau.
