Chapter 92: 6 Gems Acquired, Zombies Destroyed
With a loud "boom," the Blade Warrior was sent flying backward, crashing into the ground some distance away and carving a long furrow.
The silver moonlight patterns on his body spread out at the moment of impact, turning into a thin film of light that protected his entire body.
The power of the moon goddess Kong Su saved his life at the most critical moment. He coughed up blood twice and climbed out of the pit.
Thor and Icarus immediately rushed forward.
A massive white lightning bolt descended from the sky, carrying immense thunderbolts as it struck Thanos. Thanos raised his right arm, and purple energy surged from the Power Stone, covering his entire arm and forcefully catching Thor's lightning.
His body remained motionless, while the Time Stone on his left hand emitted a bright green light, and a green magic circle appeared on Thanos's right wrist, slowly rotating.
Blade's body suddenly began to move uncontrollably, time began to reverse, and he retreated in a comical manner, only to return to Thanos a few seconds later.
Icarus swiftly flew in front of Thanos, shooting out blazing beams of light from his eyes, and slammed a punch into Thanos's chest.
Thanos swayed, and the ground beneath his feet cracked open, but he stood still without retreating. His shriveled eyes turned and stared at Icarus.
"Bang!"
Thanos threw a punch so fast that Icarus didn't have time to dodge. The fist slammed into Icarus's chest, and the sound of metal ribs breaking was clearly audible.
Icarus was sent flying, his cloak billowing wildly behind him, before crashing into the mud dozens of meters away, sending up a spray of gravel.
"Trap him!" shouted the Archmage of Kamar-Taj.
A dozen scarlet magical ribbons shot out from the mages' palms, coiling around Thanos's limbs and torso like snakes. Red runes danced on the surface of the ribbons, firmly locking Thanos in place.
Thanos roared, his muscles bulging, the straps creaking under his weight, but he couldn't break free for the moment.
"Quick!" Shang-Chi charged forward from the side, and Ant-Man's head, supported by the magic cloak, floated over as well.
Shang-Chi held Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet down with one hand and tried to pry his fingers open with the other, while Ant-Man's head was on the side with the help of the cloak.
Thanos glanced down at the two ant-like things, and the Space Stone in his left hand flashed with blue light.
Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, Blade, Thor, Icarus—most of the mages were enveloped in blue light and instantly vanished from their original locations, randomly teleported to various corners of the Earth.
Thanos was panting heavily, bent over, his hands on his knees, his body trembling. Even a zombie couldn't withstand the combined power of all the Infinity Stones.
The golden portal lit up again behind him. The mages returned, leaping out of the portal one after another. They simultaneously formed hand seals, their hands rapidly shifting as they activated the clone spell, Aekron's Form.
Each mage created dozens of clones, their densely packed figures covering the entire plain. Countless energy whips were lashed out from the clones' hands, weaving together a vast golden net that completely enveloped Thanos from head to toe.
Thanos struggled, but for every one he broke off, ten more would take its place, becoming tighter and tighter.
On the other side, Scarlet Witch had been locked in combat with Su Mo for quite some time.
Her chaotic magic was exceptionally difficult to deal with; every punch felt like hitting cotton, soft and yielding, with most of the force being dissipated.
Every now and then, Su Mo would be pulled into an illusion. Although he could break free from the illusion in an instant each time, the feeling of being repeatedly pulled was really disgusting.
The Scarlet Witch didn't engage in a direct confrontation, but instead moved erratically around Su Mo, with red chaotic energy spreading around her like smoke, causing Su Mo's attacks to be delayed by half a beat.
Su Mo punched the Scarlet Witch's afterimage, shattering the illusion into red specks of light that vanished. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of the situation on the other side of the mages: Thanos was entangled, and now was the time.
He kicked away the witch who had come closer, and pulled back sharply, breaking free from the Scarlet Witch's entanglement.
Su Mo appeared in front of Thanos in an instant. Su Mo's right hand formed a knife, and a portal silently opened in his palm. The edge of the portal precisely sliced through Thanos's right arm joint.
The arm, along with the Infinity Gauntlet, fell off, bleeding profusely, the cut as smooth as a mirror.
Su Mo caught the glove, and the black liquid of Pudding flowed from his palm, filling the gaps between the gem slots, and the five gems were firmly fixed to the glove.
Blade ran back from a distance and handed over the Mind Stone he was holding. Su Mo took it, pressed it into the slot at the very center of the glove, and pressed it down hard.
The six gems shone simultaneously: purple power, blue space, red reality, green time, yellow mind, and orange soul. The six colors of light intertwined and flowed on the back of Su Mo's hand, dyeing the surrounding air into a dazzling halo.
Su Mo looked at everyone present and gently raised her right hand.
Snapped.
A snap of the fingers.
An invisible wave spread from Su Mo's palm, sweeping across the entire Earth at a speed exceeding the speed of light, reaching every corner.
The world seemed to freeze in that instant. The wind ceased its flow, the clouds stopped drifting, the waves solidified in mid-air, and the zombies' fangs hovered an inch in front of their prey's neck.
The Scarlet Witch stood in the distance, the red chaotic energy slowly dissipating from her body. She did not struggle or run away; she stood there, an almost relieved expression on her ashen face. Perhaps she too was looking forward to the end.
Su Mo hovered in mid-air with a solemn expression. The power of the six gems surged within him, extending his perception to every inch of this planet.
What he wanted to do was simple: reverse Earth's time five years ago, back to a time before the disaster happened, to stop Dr. Pym from going to the Quantum Realm to save the Wasp, or at least wait until a cure was developed.
If it weren't for Pym's reckless shrinking behavior, and if it weren't for the Wasp, the shrunken zombie brought out of the Quantum Realm, the world wouldn't have fallen so completely in just a few days.
With the six gems in hand, Su Mo's senses were greatly enhanced. The moment his consciousness enveloped the entire globe, he sensed something amiss; someone was secretly watching him.
The gaze did not come from Earth, nor from the universe, but from beyond dimensions, from some more distant, more hidden corner. Faint whispers seeped from the cracks in the void, buzzing in his ear like mosquitoes.
Su Mo frowned, gathered power in his right fist, and shattered the spatial barrier with a single punch. The walls between dimensions shattered like glass, revealing a chaotic zone behind it that did not belong to any universe.
He flew in the direction of the murmurs, silently passing through layers of dimensional membranes, and arrived in an inconspicuous universe.
Upon entering, one finds an ordinary blue planet, a normal Earth.
Su Mo's super hearing instantly captured the sounds of the entire world, and his super brain processed them in a fraction of a second, filtering and locating the source of the sounds.
He was enveloped in the light of the Space Stone, and the next second, he was standing at the location where the sound had come from.
This is an unassuming office building with a sign hanging inside—Marvel Comics Editorial Department.
