I train Batman in a horror world

Chapter 6: You Have a New Mom

The reason why Follow chose The Shining world as the starter pack for Bruce is simple.

The fears of this journey were rather unique for Bruce.

Just how special it is, Fore decided to keep it a secret.

There is one more reason for this.

That means the journey was safe enough.

The protagonist, Jack, who is haunted by a hotel ghost, manages to kill his wife and children, but they manage to kill him in return.

It can be said that as long as Bruce is well prepared, he can easily resolve this crisis.

After all, he was accompanied by Batman.

Although he is only eight years old.

But what Fore never expected was...

The changes to the hotel itself went far beyond the original storyline.

......

"Hey handsome, come play with me!"

"?!"

Bruce hadn't expected the hotel's welcome to be so unique.

As soon as I entered, a pair of twin girls holding hands stood not far away, looking at me with big smiles.

"Hey handsome, come play with us!"

"..."

Bruce instinctively glanced at Fowler, hoping the guy could come up with something convincing.

Judging from Foul's expression, this guy also seems to be quite...surprised by the current situation?

Suddenly, Fowler asked, "Bruce, do you have any coins on you?"

Bruce tilted his head slightly, making sure he hadn't misheard: "A coin?"

"right!"

Ful ran his little paws over a tuft of downy fur on his head, completely unlike his previous timid demeanor.

"Flip a coin at each of them, you ride them both, and I'll ride you!"

"?"

What kind of outrageous language is this?!

Bruce, unable to contain himself any longer, punched the bat on the head!

"It's one thing to be scared, but why are you being so indecent!"

"Ouch!"

Fowler winced in pain, clutching his forehead, and said, "This shouldn't be happening, what do we do, Bruce?"

Bruce was shocked: "You're asking me?!"

He suddenly felt as if countless little people inside him were screaming furiously!

Why did I end up with bats?!

"Just kidding, kid. Do you think Master Fu doesn't know what's going on? Oh no, they're gone!"

Bruce looked in the direction the twin girls were looking and found that they had indeed disappeared!

Just like the hotel door that was opened before, not a single sound was made.

Bruce said in a low voice, "Did you say that after you knew they were gone?"

Fowler shook his head and scoffed, "How could that be? I've wanted to say it for a long time."

Bruce sighed, speechless.

He didn't know how many times he had lamented that he had boarded a pirate ship.

Remember the story Folk told earlier, in which the protagonist Jack tried to kill his wife and children so that they would stay with him in the hotel forever?

Although he ultimately failed and froze to death in the maze outside the hotel.

But Bruce was more concerned about the impact of this "father".

Will this affect Jack's son's entire life?

Just like myself...

And if Foul's story is true.

Perhaps I have the ability to change this tragedy.

Bruce believes this is what training should be.

But now...

Bruce's dead fish eyes were fixed on Fowler and never looked away.

"Alright, alright, let me explain the situation to you in detail!"

Fowle coughed twice. "Remember what I said earlier?"

Bruce said weakly, "What?"

"This hotel is alive."

"And then what? What nonsense are you going to spout now?"

"Hey, how is that nonsense? Do you even know what 'a hidden thread in the grass, a huge pit' means?"

"So why are you spouting nonsense again! What good does it do you?!"

"Look at you, always in such a hurry."

Fol tapped Bruce's forehead, and the latter impatiently shook it off.

Foul was not annoyed and continued, "We all know that these twin sisters are the spirits of the dead, and their appearance means one thing."

Bruce glanced at him sideways. "Does this mean the hotel is starting to interfere with reality?"

"Clever little devil."

"I suspect that what happens next will be very different from what we originally thought," Fowler said in a deep voice.

"From this moment on, the story we know is like a train that has derailed, heading in an unknown direction."

Seeing that Holmes had become inexplicably serious, Bruce's mood also became somewhat solemn.

Then he heard Fowle say this:

"Furthermore, I can sense the hotel's mindset, though it's not very clear, but I'm certain of one thing..."

Bruce quickly pressed, "What is it?"

Fow said, word by word, "If you want to leave here, it's almost impossible."

Bruce caught the word: "Almost?"

After saying that, Fu Er put his hands on his hips and returned to his original quirky and arrogant self.

"Because Master Fu is here, it's impossible for him to keep you here permanently!"

I originally thought the baby bats would be happy.

Bruce's next words surprised Holmes.

"What will happen to the family of three who are staying in this hotel?"

Bruce continued, "I'm not going to leave like this!"

Foul shrugged. "It's hard to say. It depends on the hotel's mood. Maybe they'll let them off the hook."

I remember when I watched the original story, the male protagonist Jack was locked in the food storeroom by his wife Wendy, and it was almost impossible for him to leave on his own.

Note that it's "almost".

Because his wife Wendy took the key to the food storage room.

The door was locked from the inside and couldn't be opened from the inside.

Despite being in such a confined environment, Jack eventually managed to escape!

The reason was simple: the ghosts of the hotel helped Jack escape.

Moreover, since the hotel itself can interfere with reality.

So how far will things go?

Fowler had absolutely no idea about this.

Anyway, he's here for tourism.

Bruce is here for training.

"No, even if it can interfere with reality, I'm going to try it!" Bruce made up his mind.

"Oh? You're determined to help this family?" Foul leaned closer and asked curiously.

"right!"

"Aren't you afraid of hotels?"

"Don't be afraid!"

"Aren't you afraid it might do something monstrous or demonic?"

"Don't be afraid!"

Fowler was pleased with Bruce's attitude. "Good! Very energetic!"

"But I have to tell you, the appearance of those twin girls means that the story revision had already begun."

"In other words, when you were making those confident promises, that family of three was already a completely different person!"

Bruce was not discouraged by Fowler's dampening of his enthusiasm.

in contrast.

He was full of energy!

"I'm right here!" Bruce said.

"Alright then, go and welcome your new family," Fowler nodded and said.

"What?!"

Bruce suspected he was hallucinating.

Aren't my parents dead?

Where else is his family besides Alfred?

next second.

A series of hurried footsteps approached from afar.

A sharp, explosive sound followed.

"If you keep running around like this, Mommy will get angry!"

"???"
