I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 189 Three Men, One Show
Chapter 189 Three Men Make a Show
"I want you to go back to the auditorium immediately and stay there."
After Lupin finished speaking, he pointed to the Marauder's Map in his hand: "If you wander off, I'll know."
Harry nodded, then couldn't help but say, "Actually, Professor, this map isn't always accurate. For example, just now someone who shouldn't have been on the map appeared."
"Impossible, Harry," Lupin denied categorically, thinking to himself that he and his father made the map, and he knew better than Harry how powerful it was.
"But I really saw it." Harry held up three fingers, his expression extremely serious. "I swear, I really saw it..."
"Alright, alright," Lupin asked with a smile, "Tell me, who exactly did you see?"
"Peter Pettigrew," Harry replied.
Lupin's pupils contracted to pinpoints instantly, and he blurted out, "This is impossible!"
He shook his head, still wearing an incredulous expression: "That's absolutely impossible..."
"Anyway, I saw his mark flash past me, but I didn't see him..." Harry shrugged, looking indifferent.
He's starting to have some doubts about Marauder's Map.
Exactly, Peter Pettigrew is clearly a dead man, so how did he end up on the Marauder's Map?
Lupin waved his hand, signaling Harry to leave quickly. After a while, he put the Marauder's Map away and stumbled out of the castle.
Harry's words made him realize a possibility he had been longing for—that Sirius Black was innocent.
First of all, Marauder's Map is absolutely infallible, and as one of the map's creators, Lupin had absolute confidence in it.
"Blake..." he muttered to himself as he approached the Whomping Willow. The Whomping Willow noticed him and began to bar its fangs and claws, ready to give him a good beating.
Lupin extended his wand and cast a spell on the scar on the Manhunt Willow. A miraculous thing happened: the Manhunt Willow was as if it had been struck by an acupuncture point. It stopped baring its fangs and claws and turned into a real willow tree.
Following the dilapidated path, Lupin cast a spell on himself to make himself invisible and crept quietly in.
Don't shoot, just drip it in quietly.
Soon, a faint chewing sound was heard, as if someone was chewing on some animal bone. Lu Ping assumed a defensive posture and suddenly peered into the room.
What a pathetic sight he was...
A clump of filthy, tangled hair hung down to his elbows, and if his eyes, hidden in deep, dark sockets, didn't glow, he would have looked exactly like a corpse. Waxy skin clung to the bone structure of his face, making him look like a skull. He was clutching the remains of a rat in his hand, frantically gnawing on them.
It's Sirius Black.
"Sirius..." Lupin did not let his guard down, still pointing his wand at his former best friend.
"Remus?" Sirius didn't care. He tossed the remaining rat remains into his mouth with a horrifying crunching sound, the chewing noise sending chills down one's spine.
After calmly swallowing his food, Sirius said quietly, "It seems you've discovered something."
"Harry told me he saw Peter on the Marauder's Map." Lupin remained wary, pointing his wand at Black.
Sirius laughed maniacally, his voice surprisingly tinged with sadness. After a long pause, he finally said, "Yes, Peter, Peter."
"That traitor! He betrayed James and Lily!" Sirius Black knelt on the ground, screaming hysterically, almost as if venting his anger. After a long while, he said in a low voice, "Do you remember when James and Lily chose me to be their Secret Agent?"
At this point, he patted the wooden board beside him, gesturing for Lupin to sit down. Receiving no response, he chuckled self-deprecatingly, "Well, what I'm trying to say is that I thought I was too obvious. Even a three-year-old would know James would choose me as the Secret Service. That's when I came up with a plan, and that was Peter..."
"Peter was a coward, and no one thought he would be James and his wife's confidant. But who knew this traitor! This traitor!"
At this point, Sirius broke down again. He knelt on the ground, buried his head in his hands, and stammered, "He had already sided with Voldemort. I was... I was so blind—"
Lu Ping tossed his hair, tidied his style, and was already seven or eight parts convinced. After a long pause, he said, "Prove it to me."
Sirius Black shakily pulled a clipping from the Daily Prophet from his pocket; it contained a family photo of the Weasleys.
Lupin spotted the rat in Ron's hand with remarkable sharpness; even if it were reduced to ashes, Lupin would still recognize it!
Black was accused of killing Peter Pettigrew, but only one finger was found at the scene!
At that moment, Lupin had no more doubts about Blake's words.
He tucked his wand away, rushed over and hugged Black tightly, showing no disgust at his filthy body, and murmured words of comfort, "It's not your fault. Nobody would have thought he had betrayed us so long ago. It's not your fault..."
"Expelliarmus! (Expelliarmus!)"
A clear shout rang out, and before Lupin could react, the wand in his arms flew into the newcomer's hand.
It's Louis.
"Let me see..." Lewis grinned like a villain: "A Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts professor secretly meeting with an Azkaban fugitive—I bet tomorrow's Daily Prophet's front page will be quite a spectacle..."
"Oh no, Louis, you have to listen to me..." Lupin stepped forward, trying to argue, but Louis didn't give him a chance at all, pointing his wand at his chin and shutting him up.
"This is a golden opportunity. Think about it, the time is coming for me to completely control the Defense Against the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts. Do you think I would waste this opportunity?"
Louis's face was hidden in the shadows, revealing only a mouthful of snow-white teeth; he looked as villainous as could be.
"Come on, let's start with you, Sirius Black." Louis smiled bloodthirstyly, ignoring Lupin's pleas, and pointed his wand at Sirius, who had his eyes closed.
"Scourgify!"
Sirius had expected a malevolent curse, but it turned out to be a cleansing curse. For a moment, he and Lupin looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
Along with the cleansing spell, a burst of colorful ribbons exploded from the tip of the wand, just like the salute wand from Zonko's Magical Joke Shop.
Sirius Black and Lupin were completely taken aback.
Then came a heartfelt ecstasy, after all, revenge was just one step away, and no one wanted to give up halfway.
"Thank you... thank you..." Sirius collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face, repeatedly expressing his gratitude. Overwhelmed by joy and sorrow, his emotions had completely broken down.
"Get up! Look at you, all snot and tears streaming down your face. What kind of behavior is this for a grown man? Aren't you afraid of scaring Harry?"
Louis took a bunch of clothes from his system backpack and told him to put them on carefully. He then used a spell to clean him up again. There was no other way; the smell in the Screaming Shack was just too strong, and even a strong wind couldn't get rid of the stench.
"So, what are you two planning to do now?"
"Of course, we'll sneak into the castle and catch that rat!" Black's eyes burned with a fierce fire; he was truly dedicated to revenge.
"You're quite right, but before that, I think we should inform Professor Dumbledore, after all, he..."
Louis didn't say anything more. Dumbledore was like a giant spider lurking in the headmaster's office; he could quickly find out about any little thing happening at Hogwarts.
Remembering the giant spider, Louis quickly added, "By the way, why did you eat rats? I remember there were quite a few eight-eyed crabs deep in the Forbidden Forest... were they Scottish softshell crabs?"
Sirius's expression turned strange. A Scottish land soft-shell crab? Isn't that just an eight-eyed giant spider?
How come the students have become so wild after being away from Hogwarts for more than ten years?
Sirius straightened up and began to re-evaluate his seemingly promising classmate.
"By the way, Louis is Emma's son," Lupin casually remarked, but Sirius's expression instantly changed.
"Emma... Emma? Is she still...?" Little Sirius asked hesitantly, as if afraid his beautiful dream would be shattered.
"Unfortunately, my mother has passed away," Louis said with a shrug and a hint of regret in his voice.
Sirius's eyes suddenly became vacant, and when he uttered the next sentence, he seemed to have been completely drained of his energy.
"Actually, Emma never believed that you were the one who betrayed Lily and James." Lupin's voice was somewhat low, as if afraid that his words would upset Sirius.
Sirius simply nodded calmly, indicating that he understood. But the two could tell that his feelings were even more complicated than before.
Louis shrugged. He remembered Dumbledore saying that his mother used to discipline the group of four every day when they were in school. Could Sirius be a masochist?
It's gotten a bit perverted.
As soon as I turned around, I saw Snape, looking delighted, hopping in with cat-like steps.
"The taste of revenge is sweet..." he drawled sarcastically, glancing at Louis, and praised approvingly, "Excellent, Mr. Mountbatten, for your cleverness in stalling for the professor's arrival, Slytherin adds fifty points!"
"Let me see, Lupin, a professor, colluding with an Azkaban fugitive, tsk tsk tsk..."
"I'm sorry, Severus," Sirius retorted immediately, "your usually sharp intuition has failed again."
Snape's expression was twisted and ferocious, and Sirius's expression was also full of disgust. For a moment, Louis couldn't tell who hated whom more.
"Are you really going to point your wand at me? You used to always hide behind Emma when we were in school, and now you've finally stood up for yourself?" Sirius's words were extremely sarcastic.
Snape's eyes instantly darkened, and he growled, enunciating each word clearly: "How dare you mention Emma! How could you even bring her up! She trusted you so much, and what have you done...?"
"I think there must be some misunderstanding between you, Professor," Louis quickly interrupted, not wanting to watch a drama unfold with three men.
"A misunderstanding?" Snape chuckled, then after a moment, he tossed his hair and said bitterly, "Why don't you ask him how he betrayed Lily and his best brother back then—oh, please forgive me for saying that..."
"There was indeed a misunderstanding about what happened back then," Louis quickly explained. "If you would be willing to give us a few minutes, Professor, we can uncover the mystery together after we call Professor Dumbledore."
"I think it won't take that long," Snape said ominously. "Let me avenge Lily right here and now..."
"Professor!" Louise quickly stopped him as he raised his wand. "You wouldn't want the real traitor to go unpunished, would you?"
Snape paused noticeably, glancing at Louis like an owl before turning back: "Tell me, I'll give him a few minutes... for your sake."
Lewis spoke rapidly, recounting the various suspicious points surrounding Peter Pettigrew. Snape pondered for a moment, then accepted what Lewis had to say.
He was quite willing to believe in his star student, even though the student always infuriated him.
"Alright, I'll be watching you, Black." Snape stared intently at Black, who seemed unfazed by his hawk-like gaze and appeared indifferent.
With Snape and Lupin by their side, Sirius was easily brought to Hogwarts. To be on the safe side, they didn't go to the headmaster's office, but instead went to Lewis's office.
"I didn't expect you to live in such a grand place." Sirius looked at Louis's office and said with a sigh, "If I had a separate dorm room like this when I was in school, oh my god, I would have gone crazy, and James would have too..."
When James was mentioned, Sirius choked up, lowered his head dejectedly, and didn't say anything more.
Lupin patted him on the shoulder in comfort, while Snape wore a disdainful expression.
What does it mean when they say "three old men make a drama"? (hands on hips)
Soon, at Christa's invitation, Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, and several heads of departments arrived, along with the trio.
Ron was holding his mouse with a bewildered look on his face, but the moment the mouse entered the office, it started wriggling wildly.
"You can tell he's very anxious." Louis looked at Scabbers, who had bitten Ron, with a fair assessment. Ron let go in pain, and Scabbers had already run to the ground and was crawling all over the place.
Harry spotted the gaunt Sirius Black immediately. He stepped forward, pointing at him with trembling hands, "It's you... Sirius Black..."
"Son, you actually know me?" Sirius was genuinely surprised that his godson knew him.
Of course, in a rather unattractive way.
"Of course I know you!" Harry accused in a trembling voice, "You betrayed my parents!"
"No, Harry, someone did betray your parents," Louise interrupted Harry, his expression one of complete confidence as he looked at Harry's puzzled gaze. "But it wasn't Sirius Black."
I have a fever, and I feel so awful...
