I manufacture weapons in the Middle East and am wanted globally?
Chapter 47: Pinduoduo Version of Drones!
Chen Zheng wandered around the tribe for more than two hours, and the more he wandered, the more he felt that his eyesight was sharp.
This place is practically a natural distribution center.
He stood on a small earthen slope on the outskirts of the tribe, hands on his hips, and surveyed the surrounding area from his elevated position.
In the open space outside the barricades, in addition to the Free Army's recruitment post, several new stalls have appeared.
There was a sense of unease, after all, a rebellion was taking place just tens of kilometers away.
The economics of war are crystal clear!
He couldn't help but offer pointers to Gao Fei and the other man.
"Do you know whose money is easiest to make?"
Gao Fei and Wang Lei exchanged a glance, and the former spoke first: "Women and children?"
"Part of it is correct."
Chen Zheng nodded. "But how much can a woman spend on a handbag or a beauty treatment? The truly lucrative businesses are always associated with prostitution, gambling, and drugs."
He gestured with his chin towards the outside of the tribe.
"Look at this place, a bunch of people crammed together—mercenaries, deserters, refugees, speculators, all sorts of people. These people have left their homes, their pockets full of money earned by risking their lives. What can they possibly do lying in a tent tonight?"
"Let me tell you, if a woman opened her door to do business here, she could earn between $50 and $100 per person. Do the math and see how much she could make?"
Chen Zheng chuckled. "1000 is the starting price, and that's a conservative estimate. If you find a pretty one who knows how to get things done, making 2,000 or 3,000 US dollars a night is like child's play."
Anyone familiar with the local sex industry knows that this is a business with no initial investment; it's even legal in the Netherlands!
In 2010, the Netherlands' tax revenue from sex-related activities reached a staggering €5.5 million!
Blue Ocean!!! Too bad they don't want men...
Meanwhile, in the country, if you calculate how much it would cost per month, Porsche could quickly provide an answer.
This is one of the reasons why there are so many sex workers – it's really profitable!
Of course, I, Huang, am sworn enemies of gambling and drugs!
Wang Lei opened his mouth, then after a long pause, managed to stammer out, "Wouldn't that grind until sparks fly?"
Chen Zheng continued, "Gambling goes without saying. These people risk their lives. They don't know if they'll be able to spend the money they make today. If you let them gamble, they'll be more generous than anyone else. You can't trust a gambling addict's words at all."
"As for drugs—"
He paused, his gaze sweeping over the faces of his two subordinates, his tone unusually serious.
"If any of you get involved, I won't care whether you live or die. I'll just leave you to fend for yourselves. Don't blame me for not showing any brotherhood then."
Gao Fei and Wang Lei stood up straight at the same time, their expressions becoming solemn.
"Brother Chen, don't worry."
Wang Lei patted his chest and said, "I, Wang Lei, have rarely touched tobacco or alcohol in my life. I'll beat up any one of those things I see."
Gao Fei nodded: "Ah Zheng, you still don't trust me?"
"It's not that I don't trust you."
Chen Zheng put the cigarette back in his mouth and softened his tone, "I'm afraid you'll be led astray by this place. The Middle East has everything, you can meet all kinds of people, there are too many temptations."
He said this with a very serious expression on his face.
They are paid a good salary every month, and people who lack self-discipline... can really go astray.
Only self-disciplined people can succeed.
Have you ever seen a drug lord use drugs himself?
Mexican drug lord Joaquín El Chapo doesn't use drugs or drink alcohol.
Chen Zheng waved his hand, "Let's go, take another look around and see if there's anything new."
The three of them went down the earthen slope and continued to walk along the tamped dirt road on the outskirts of the village.
After wandering around for a while, Khalid called.
"Boss, I got the stuff."
Khalid's voice came through the phone, sounding tired from the long journey: "All the parts are in the car, nothing is missing."
"Okay." Chen Zheng's voice was filled with excitement. "Take it up the mountain, I'm coming right now."
After hanging up the phone, he said to Gao Fei and the other man, "Come on, something new has arrived!"
...
When Gao Fei parked the pickup truck on the open ground at the top of the hill, Khalid and the others had already arrived.
Chen Zheng jumped out of the Corolla, rubbed his hands together, and took out cigarettes from his pocket and handed them over.
"You must be tired. Was your journey safe?"
Khalid took the cigarette, his face serious. "The Syrian civil war suddenly broke out, and something is also wrong in the Bekaa Valley. The atmosphere in Zahle and Beirut is not right, and a lot of foreigners have suddenly poured in."
"There have even been highway robbers on the road. I think our security department might need to increase the number of personnel to around 10."
Chen Zheng nodded. "Okay, I'll keep an eye on it."
As he spoke, he walked to the back pocket of the car.
The truck bed was filled with a dozen or so cardboard boxes of different sizes. The outermost box had a red "Fragile" label printed on it, and the corners were wrapped with several strips of transparent tape, with a few straws stuck to the tape.
"Alright, you guys go down the mountain and rest first, I'll take care of things here."
Gao Fei: "Ah Zheng, don't you need our help moving them? Can you move all those boxes by yourself?"
"It's alright, there are workers inside."
"Okay, let's go down first."
Gao Fei turned around and called out to Zhao Meng and Li Yang, "Let's go, let's go down the mountain for dinner."
Zhao Meng stuffed his phone into his pocket, stood up, dusted off his pants, and grinned, "Brother Chen, want me to bring you some food up tonight?"
"Just bring a few kebab wraps, and a pot of tea."
"Okay."
"Brother Chen, call me if you need anything," Wang Lei called out.
"understood."
As the engine sound faded into the distance, Chen Zheng turned around, walked to the cave entrance, bent down, parted the vines, and crawled inside.
"Four-eyed!"
Four-Eyes came running over excitedly.
"Boss."
There's a shipment of goods in the truck outside; let's move it all inside.
Four-Eyes nodded, turned around, and shouted into the cave in his high-pitched voice, "Everyone stop! Baldy, Chiang Kai-shek, Bull One, Bull Two, Bull Three, Bull Four, come out and unload the goods!"
"Goo!" The six laborers responded in unison and walked out.
Six laborers made two trips back and forth, and all the dozen or so cardboard boxes were moved into the hole. All the boxes had been opened.
The parts were sorted and laid out on the ground: a pile of motors, a pile of ESCs, a pile of propellers, a pile of flight control boards, a pile of batteries, and stacks of KT boards leaning against the wall, white, blue, yellow, all sorts of colors.
Four-Eyes and Frog squatted on the ground, their four amber eyes staring at the parts, their long ears tilted slightly forward like two antennas receiving signals. Four-Eyes picked up a 2212 brushless motor, weighed it in his palm, and then brought it to his nose to smell it.
"Damn, the copper wire winding is okay, but the dynamic balance is so-so."
He put the motor down, picked up the ESC next to him, tore open a corner of the heat shrink tubing, glanced at the circuit board inside, and said, "The old Hobbywing 20A model, the FET is made in China, it'll do."
The frog was examining the stack of KT boards, tapping its fingers on the surface and bending them to test their flexibility.
It stood up, took the utility knife from the wall, pushed the blade out, and made a clean cut on the board. The cut was neat and burr-free, and the foam particles were as fine as flour where the blade passed.
"Boss," Four-Eyes looked up, adjusted his glasses, and said, "How about we make a sample and test it out first?"
"Just sit here and watch."
Four-Eyes nodded, squatted down, pinched a piece of KT board between his fingers, and slashed the board with a utility knife, making a soft "hissing" sound, with foam particles falling down.
They didn't even look at the blueprints. Monster Seiko is very smart; they only need to look at the blueprints once.
Some master chefs need to be observed several times.
Not to mention apprentices.
First, a rectangular motherboard was cut out, 28 centimeters long and 16 centimeters wide. The four corners were chamfered, and the edges were lightly sanded to remove burrs.
Then I cut two side panels, 4 centimeters high and the same length as the motherboard, to serve as the side walls of the chassis.
Hot melt adhesive.
The bald man picked up the hot glue gun from the workbench and plugged it in.
Like those half-shoeboxes from TM.
"This is the equipment compartment."
Four-Eyes said, "The flight controller, receiver, and battery are all packed inside, and the center of gravity is concentrated on the fuselage axis, so no extra weight is needed."
Chen Zheng squatted down beside him, looking at the machine body made of KT board, and his mouth twitched.
The appearance is really simple, but the weight is really light. Holding the whole body in your hand is about the same as holding a cardboard box, probably less than 100 grams.
Four-Eyes started making the wings.
It laid a 5mm thick KT board on the ground, measured it with a ruler, and then cut out an isosceles trapezoidal wing surface with a utility knife.
The wingspan is 1200 mm, the root chord is 240 mm, the wingtip chord is 120 mm, and the sweep angle is 25 degrees.
Tailless delta wing!
"The center of gravity is about one-third of the way behind the leading edge of the wing root."
As Siyan cut, he said, "The error must be controlled within 3 millimeters for it to fly stably."
It set the wing surface aside and began cutting the second piece, two pieces on top and bottom, with a wing spars sandwiched in between.
The wing spars are made of 3mm solid carbon fiber rods that run through the entire wingspan, are embedded in the middle of the KT board, and are fixed with hot melt adhesive.
Four-Eyes covered the upper wing surface, applied a ring of glue around the edge, and then pressed it down with a heavy object, waiting for the glue to solidify.
About ten minutes later, the wing took shape.
Four-Eyes placed the wing on the fuselage, adjusted its position, aligned the trailing edge of the wing with the tail of the fuselage, and made sure the wing root was perpendicular to the centerline of the fuselage.
"Frog, rudder."
The frog pulled out two white plastic rudders from the cardboard box. They were about the size of a little finger and had two holes in them.
I used a utility knife to cut a slit at the tail of the wing and on both sides of the centerline, inserted the rudder horn, and secured it with hot glue.
Two rudder angles control the left and right elevators respectively.
Tailless delta wings do not have separate ailerons and elevators. The left and right parts of the trailing edge of the wing surface simultaneously function as ailerons and elevators, and mixed control is achieved through the program of the flight controller or remote controller.
"Servo motor".
Tianji picked up two Huisheng 9g servo motors from the pile of parts. They were SG90, with plastic gears, cheap stuff that cost 5 yuan each.
They were glued to the inside of the fuselage with hot melt adhesive, one on each side, with the servo rocker arm aligned precisely with the rudder angle hole.
Then it used two thin steel wires bent into a Z-shaped connecting rod, inserted one end into the servo rocker arm, and the other end into the hole in the rudder corner, and fixed it with hot melt glue.
"The connecting rod must be straight, without any bends. If it's bent, there will be play, and the aircraft will shake when flying."
"Next is the power system."
Four-Eyes took out a 2212 brushless motor, KV1000, weighing about 50 grams, from the cardboard box. It had a silver casing and a black base.
"The motor must be installed directly in front of the nose, with the tension cable passing through the fuselage's center of gravity. Otherwise, when you accelerate, the plane will pitch down or up, and it will crash immediately."
The motor was fixed to the motor mount with four M3 screws. Before tightening the screws, Siyan adjusted the angle of the motor, making it slightly tilted to the right by 2 degrees.
"Pull the angle to the right to counteract the propeller's torque; otherwise, the plane will roll to the left at high throttle."
Use double-sided tape to stick the electric motor to the side wall of the machine body, near the motor.
The battery is a 3S 1300 mAh lithium battery, weighing about 100 grams. It is attached to the inside of the device with Velcro and its position can be adjusted forward and backward.
The four-eyed receiver was connected to the six-channel receiver of the Skyfly, and it was attached to the side of the flight controller with double-sided tape.
"The Flying Leap 1's flight control does not require accelerometer calibration. It is in pure manual mode. The flight control's function is simply to convert the receiver's signal into a mixed control output of the servo motor. When pushing the elevator up and down, the two control surfaces move up and down simultaneously. When engaging the ailerons, the two control surfaces move differentially."
Four-Eyes turned on the remote control, moved the joystick, and checked the direction of the control surface movement.
It flicked the aileron stick to the left, causing the left elevon to tilt upwards and the right one to droop downwards.
"alright."
Siyan put down the remote control, bundled all the wires with cable ties, stuffed them into the machine body, then covered the equipment compartment with a KT board and sealed it with hot melt glue around the perimeter.
The entire aircraft has been assembled.
Chen Zheng squatted on the ground, looking at the plane.
With a wingspan of 1200 mm and a fuselage length of 480 mm, it is entirely white with two blue stripes painted on the wingtips and vertical tails. The frog used a marker to draw these stripes, saying it was to help distinguish its attitude in the air.
Four-Eyes put it on the kitchen scale, and it weighed 470 grams!
"With the addition of TNT, it can be compressed to within 550 grams."
Four-Eyes said, "The motor has a thrust of 800 grams, a thrust-to-weight ratio of over 1.4, vertical climb is no problem, the cruising speed is about 40 to 60 kilometers per hour, the maximum speed can reach over 100 kilometers per hour, and the endurance is about 12 to 15 minutes when carrying a 60-gram warhead and flying in a mixed configuration."
Chen Zheng didn't say anything, but picked up the plane from the ground.
It's very light and ugly!
This doesn't even look like a drone, it's so rudimentary!
"Let's go outside and test fly it."
Four-Eyes pushed up his glasses, picked up the remote control, and followed them out.
Chen Zheng walked outside the cave entrance, supporting the plane's belly with his right hand and pinching the leading edge of the wing with his left hand, raising it above his head.
"50% throttle!" Four-Eyes said.
Chen Zheng shouted, "Let's go!"
He pushed the plane diagonally upwards with force.
The moment the plane left his hands, Four-Eyes pushed the throttle stick, and the buzzing of the propellers suddenly intensified.
The plane dipped half a meter and then its nose lifted up.
Four-Eyes' fingers moved slightly on the joystick, the movement was very small, but the aircraft's attitude response was very fast. Pushing the stick to the left, the aircraft immediately tilted to the left, and pushing the stick to the right, the aircraft immediately leveled off, the attitude was clean and neat.
It circled once in the air, at a height of about fifty meters, and the sound of the propeller was almost negligible in the night wind.
"Step on the gas!" Chen Zheng said in a muffled voice.
He pushed up his glasses, increased the throttle to 70%, and the plane accelerated forward, its wingtips slicing through the air with a sharp whistling sound.
"It has enough power."
Four-Eyes nodded and reported: "The glide ratio is about 1:8. It can fly for a while without power. The stall speed is about 25 kilometers per hour. Below this speed, the wings will suddenly lose lift, but because the nose is heavy, it will automatically pitch down to recover and is not easy to spin."
It pulled the plane back, circled twice above Chen Zheng's head, then reduced the throttle, tilted the nose up slightly, and decreased speed and altitude little by little.
In the last five meters, Four-Eyes pulled up and down, the nose of the plane suddenly rose, the speed decreased abruptly, and the plane landed almost flat on the grassy hillside with a muffled thud, sending grass clippings flying.
The landing posture wasn't pretty.
But I never intended for him to land safely...
It lifted the plane, shook it to make sure all parts were secure, and then turned to look at Chen Zheng.
"Boss, not bad!"
Chen Zheng was naturally satisfied.
Something that costs $30...
What more do you need, a bicycle?
"Then let's do it."
He said, "We'll make 40 first."
"Let's call it: Mosquito!"
"By the way, can you spray-paint the logo on it? The Monsters Factory logo!"
……
(mosquito!)
(What's the difference between this and a mosquito?)
