I manufacture weapons in the Middle East and am wanted globally?

Chapter 48: This is a military channel, not a children's channel!

Chen Zheng emerged from the cave with satisfaction, holding the "Mosquito" drone with the logo painted on it.

The logo was hand-drawn by Four Eyes with a marker – a green monster with fangs, bulging eyes, and fangs sticking out from its lower lip, staring straight ahead.

It's not exactly exquisite, and it's even a bit crooked, but it captures that fierce energy, like a little wild animal that dares to bite even after being weaned.

On the white KT board of the aircraft, the monster stood out conspicuously.

Chen Zheng held the drone up to his eyes, examined it for two seconds, and then grinned.

"She's quite cute."

He tucked the drone under his arm and bent down to crawl out of the hole.

Just then, Li Yang drove his pickup truck and parked it in the open space. He had just gotten out of the truck and was carrying a plastic bag.

"Brother Chen! I've brought you your food!"

Wang Lei got out of the passenger seat, carrying a bulging bag in his hand; it was unclear what was inside.

Chen Zheng held up the drone and waved it at them.

"You've come at the perfect time, come and see our new products."

Wang Lei walked over, glanced at the white plane in the headlights, paused for a moment, and then smiled.

"Brother Chen, you still fly remote-controlled airplanes?"

"This thing is so ugly, hahaha."

He reached out and touched the wing. The surface of the KT board was smooth with a slightly rough, foamy feel. He rubbed his fingers against the blue stripe on the wingtip. "This thing looks pretty light. Can it fly?"

Chen Zheng handed him the drone, saying, "It can not only fly, but it can also do other things."

He flipped the drone over and pointed to the pre-installed hardpoint under its belly. "This thing can carry a 60-gram warhead, fly over the target, and then directly ram into an armored or unarmored target. What do you think would happen?"

He released his grip, making a freefall gesture, and chuckled, "60 grams of TNT, it'll blow out all the silicone!"

"Within 5 meters, it will cause instant death, limb damage, and shattered internal organs; within 10 meters, it will cause severe injury, disability, ruptured eardrums, and fractures. Most importantly, this 'toy' is very fast; by the time you see it, it's too late to run!"

Upon hearing this, Li Yang's spoon froze in mid-air.

"Brother Chen, you mean... this thing can explode?"

Chen Zheng placed the drone on the hood, took out a cigarette from his pocket, put one in his mouth, lit it, and took a puff.

"You think I take pictures of this thing to photograph scenery?"

"Brother Chen, you have such a wild imagination!"

Li Yang gave a thumbs up, "I'm impressed."

"Maybe this isn't high-tech enough, but the most DIY-friendly channel is always the military channel, not the children's channel, is it?"

Chen Zheng took the cigarette out of his mouth, flicked off the ash, and said, "Drones will be more useful than AKs on the battlefield in the future. Think about it, if you have an AK, you can't see anyone from 200 meters away, but if you have this..."

"You stand two kilometers away, smoking, drinking tea, watching the screen, and with a flick of your finger, the tanks on the other side explode. Zero casualties, low cost, high return."

Wang Lei leaned against the pickup truck door and glanced at the drone in Chen Zheng's hand. As a former military personnel, he could more directly understand the essence of the matter.

"Same as the Pterosaur-1?"

Chen Zheng looked at him and said, "It's more portable, lighter for movement, and cheaper. The Wing Loong-1 is technologically advanced. Do you think any anti-government forces in the Middle East would use it?"

"Our machine is incredibly easy to use!"

"Brother Chen, how far can this thing fly?"

"This current version has a remote control range of about 1 kilometer, a cruising speed of 40 to 60 km/h, a flight time of 15 minutes, and carries a 60-gram warhead." Chen Zheng lowered the drone, patted its wings, and asked, "Is that enough?"

Wang Lei thought for a moment, then nodded vigorously, "That's enough!"

Chen Zheng put the cigarette back in his mouth, took out the thermos, unscrewed the lid, and took a sip of tea. The tea was still hot, with a strong cardamom flavor that was a bit pungent.

"Let's go down the mountain."

"Brother Chen, aren't you spending the night on the mountain tonight?"

"I'm not here today. I'll find a tent in the village to spend the night, and then I'll set up my stall first thing tomorrow morning."

...

As the car reached the bottom of the valley, the lights of the village appeared in the distance ahead.

Unlike during the day, the tribe seems to have a different face at night.

In the open space between the tents, several fires were burning with gasoline drums and tin cans. The flames flickered in the night wind, casting long and short shadows of the people around them.

There were even more people than during the day.

During the day, mercenaries, deserters, speculators, and refugees who were hiding somewhere would all come out at night.

Chen Zheng asked Li Yang to park the car on the outskirts of the village. The three of them got out of the car and walked around the village.

A tall, thin middle-aged man squatted on the ground, with an old canvas spread out in front of him. On the canvas were various brands of cigarettes—Marlboro, Camel, Davidoff, and several local brands that Chen Zheng couldn't name, all stacked up one by one.

Someone was haggling with him, their voices urgent and rapid, gesturing with their fingers to indicate numbers.

As Chen Zheng walked further, he saw what he expected.

A woman stood beside a gray tent, wearing a long black coat, her hair loose, obscuring half her face.

A man stood in front of her, wearing camouflage pants and military boots, with his back to Chen Zheng, so her face was not visible.

The two men whispered a few words, and the man took out a wad of banknotes from his pocket, counted out a few, and handed them over.

The woman took the money, turned around, lifted the curtain, and bent down to crawl into the tent. The man followed behind, and the curtain fell down, blocking out the light inside.

Gao Fei glanced at Chen Zheng in the direction of his gaze, but said nothing.

Wang Lei glanced at it a couple more times, but quickly looked away.

"This place is getting more and more lively."

...

The following morning, around 9 a.m., the sun in the Beka Valley had already climbed above the eastern ridgeline.

Chen Zheng crawled out of the tent, stretched, and his back cracked twice.

The canvas is thick and can block the wind, but its sound insulation effect is practically zero.

I heard sounds of an orgasm late at night.

Khalid emerged from the tent next to him, his hair disheveled, yawning.

"Khalid, why don't you go ask the Sheikh about the stall?"

Khalid nodded, stood up, dusted off his trousers, and turned to walk towards the center of the tribe.

Chen Zheng finished his cigarette, stubbed it out on the ground, stood up and stretched his neck, then bent down and crawled back into the tent.

Gao Fei and Li Yang were squatting on the ground sorting out the goods they were going to sell: AKM drones and mosquito drones.

"Brother Chen, do people actually buy this stuff?" Li Yang asked, scratching his head.

"Isn't this just our trial operation? What do you call this? This is called product survey."

That makes a lot of sense...

If a customer only asks questions but doesn't buy anything, just give him a whole bunch of cash.

A moment later, footsteps could be heard outside the tent.

Khalid returned, followed by a young man, an acquaintance, Amir, Sheikh's nephew. He was wearing a dark robe, with a pistol holstered at his waist. He walked with a straight back and looked very energetic.

Chen Zheng stood up, lifted the curtain, and greeted him with a smile.

"Amir! I'm sorry to trouble you again."

He extended his hand and shook hands with Amir, then took out a gold bracelet from his pocket. It was 22K gold and not very heavy, but the workmanship was quite fine. Several small gold rings hung on the chain, glittering in the sunlight.

He slipped the chain into Amir's hand and patted the back of his hand.

Amir paused, looked down at the gold bracelet in his hand, and a hint of hesitation flashed across his face. He opened his mouth, wanting to say no, but swallowed the words back.

"Mr. Bruce, this..." His fingers touched the gold chain, and his Adam's apple bobbed up and down.

"A gift between friends, just a little trinket."

"Take it," Chen Zheng said with a smile. "There's no need to be polite between friends."

Amir hesitated for a second, then nodded, tucked the bracelet into the inside pocket of his robe, patted it to make sure it wouldn't fall out.

His face flushed slightly, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily turned up, but he quickly stopped himself, feeling even better.

"Mr. Bruce, come with me, I'll find you the best spot!"

The reason why Boss Chen was so polite...

It's entirely because the other party is Sheikh's nephew, his own flesh and blood, and Sheikh... has no sons!

In many countries, the preference for sons over daughters has not been eradicated, let alone in the Middle East where religious and social norms are deeply ingrained. In fact, the most important point is that there are more men, who have more say during times of violence.

This is similar to the old days when rural areas fought over water resources.

Women's status is also closely related to productivity.

Chen Zheng followed behind him, Gao Fei carried the drones, Wang Lei carried the AKMs, and the group followed Amir through the tent area toward the center of the tribe.

The village was already bustling with activity in the morning.

In the open space between the tents, stalls were set up one after another, several more than yesterday.

Some people were selling dry food and canned goods, some were selling second-hand clothes and military boots, and some were selling cigarettes and tea.

Amir led them to the very center of the tribe and kicked a middle-aged man's stall, saying, "Move aside, this place is taken."

The middle-aged man was taken aback. He glanced at Chen Zheng, then at the weapons in their hands, and hurriedly lowered his head to pull the things aside.

Those who understand the times are wise!

Amir smiled and said, "This is it. What do you think?"

Chen Zheng looked around.

The location was indeed excellent. To the left was a stall selling gold jewelry, where an old man sat behind a blanket with rows of gleaming gold necklaces, bracelets, and rings displayed in front of him, sparkling in the sunlight.

On the right is a stall selling animal skins, with tanned sheepskins and fox pelts hanging on the walls.

The owners of both stalls looked up at Chen Zheng, their gazes lingering on his face for a moment before glancing at the things Gao Fei was holding behind him. A hint of curiosity flashed in their eyes, but neither of them spoke.

The rule of doing business is not to ask questions you shouldn't ask.

"OK."

Chen Zheng nodded, smiled at Amir, and said, "Please thank Chief Sheikh for me."

Amir waved his hand and said with a smile, "Mr. Bruce, you're busy. I'll head back now. Let me know if you need anything. Here, you're our best friend!"

The last sentence was said in a higher tone, as if it were meant for the people next to him to hear!

"Okay, thank you." Chen Zheng nodded with a smile.

Amir turned and walked away, his steps light, the hem of his robe fluttering in the wind.

Chen Zheng turned around and gestured with his chin toward Gao Fei and Wang Lei.

"Spread out the blanket and lay out the things."

Gao Fei and the others quickly got the things ready.

Li Yang glanced at Chen Zheng, then took a deep breath.

"Clearance Sale! Clearance Sale!!! That bastard boss ran off with his mistress, everything's gone!!!!"

Li Yang's voice is freaking loud.

Those who had been squatting on the ground drinking tea, smoking, or daydreaming in the tent area all looked up and focused their attention in this direction.

Several people who were nearby had already stood up and were walking over in their slippers. Who doesn't like to watch a show?

"AKM not $998, not $888! Today's special price is only $666! We'll also throw in a free magazine!"

Li Yang stood behind the blanket, hands on his hips, his voice booming, the veins on his neck bulging.

Chen Zheng squatted to the side, a cigarette dangling from his lips, squinting as he watched the crowd gather around. Doing business... how could he possibly compete with the Chinese?

They can even sell instant noodles in the rainforest.

If Kennedy hadn't died so young, Yiwu could have produced skull-shaped bowls, chopsticks, or other related items for you.

The first person to approach was a Middle Easterner.

He was in his forties, his skin tanned a deep brown by the sun, his cheeks were sagging, and he had a thick beard.

He wore a dark gray robe, a black and white checkered headscarf, and brown leather sandals with his toes sticking out and his nails neatly trimmed.

This person is clearly not an ordinary refugee.

You'd be fine seeing this outfit in the Middle East, but if you saw it in America, you'd better run...

If you don't run away soon, your wife will remarry.

The Middle Eastern man walked up to the stall, squatted down, and his eyes first swept over the AKMs.

"Could I pick it up and take a look?" he asked in Arabic, his voice strong and clear.

Chen Zheng smiled and gestured for them to proceed. "Weapons, aren't they meant to be shown off?"

The Middle Eastern man nodded and reached for an AKM.

He first pulled back the bolt, the metallic scraping sound particularly crisp in the morning light. His ears twitched, then he rested the butt on his shoulder, squinted one eye, and peered through the sights at the olive tree in the distance. He then turned the gun over to inspect the stamping marks and rivets on the bottom of the receiver.

"That's good, but $666 is too expensive. How about $500 to make friends?"

Chen Zheng smiled but didn't curse.

What a load of rubbish, a friend worth $166…

"Hey friend, $666 is already a bargain. Judging from your appearance, you definitely know more than I do. In places like Zahle or Beirut, it would cost at least $750 or more!"

The Middle Easterner hesitated visibly, glancing at the mosquito-shaped drone beside him. He paused, then blurted out, "God, this is so ugly! What is this thing?!"

Chen Zheng's lips twitched.

Oh shit.

These Middle Easterners have absolutely no idea what aesthetics are.

If you weren't a customer, I would have kicked you right now!

There's no way around it; the customer is king.

Chen Zheng said with a smile, "This is our company's new product, which we call the Mosquito Drone."

He held out his palm, saying, "This is cheap, $600!!!"

"I'm so broke I'm peeing blood!"

$600?!

Gao Fei and the others couldn't understand Arabic, but Li Yang could.

This cardboard box only costs $600?

I haven't even talked much about the costs.

Only Chen Zheng knew the cost.

About $30, but if arms dealing isn't so profitable, I might as well become a gigolo.

Being a duck isn't easy; if you can't hold your poop, you have to see a doctor!

What happened to the Middle Easterner when he heard it was $600?

He looked at Chen Zheng with the kind of look one would give an idiot.

You must have believed in Jesus too much.

You're talking nonsense!
