Dungeon Designer: Bringing Smiles to the World!

Chapter 60 The Old Man's Jumping Fun

The battle in the deep pit has reached a fever pitch.

Galadron, now a miniature steel giant, had already smashed two or three Chaos Devourers with his massive shield, smashing their eyes out of their sockets.

However, unless one breaks through the limits and becomes an army on their own, the role that individual bravery can play in the dungeon will always be limited.

Cooperation between adventurers of different professions is the key to establishing oneself in the dungeon.

"Horn!"

Galadon spoke in a deep voice, and the next second, several prayers enveloped him.

[Enhance Attribute - Bull's Strength]

[Shelter Technique]

[Healing Prayer]

The feeling of weakness brought on by the gazes of the jailers and maids lingered, and only Horn's prayers could slightly dispel it.

A highly experienced high priest is the biggest reason why the five people in the pit have been able to hold on until now.

"We have to break out; we can't stay here forever!"

Joel brandished his longsword, exerting all his strength, and finally managed to kill a Chaos Devourer before he was exhausted. He suggested, panting heavily.

"Nonsense! The question is, how do we get out?!"

Elisa and Dylan said it at the same time.

Aside from the priest Horn, the two mages were the busiest people in the pit.

If it weren't for the fact that their spellcasting setup was perfectly suited for AoE combos, and that Elisa had added the [Wind Spell] to her deck, the people in the pit would have been killed long ago by the countless jailers and maids, plus the black mist spewed out by the cursed toads above their heads.

Although they can hold on for now, everyone knows in their hearts that this fragile balance will be broken sooner or later.

A magician's magic will eventually run out, and a priest's faith will eventually wane.

Swordsmen and shield bearers will eventually find it too heavy to wield swords and shields.

That will be their death day.

"Dylan, use the [Arcane Eye] to find a way out."

After tearing apart a Chaos Devourer, Galahad gave a deep command.

"But then I won't be able to attack! Am I supposed to rely on this low-level mage?" Dylan hesitated, not really trusting Elisa's offensive capabilities.

The hesitation lasted only half a second before Dylan ultimately chose to trust his captain.

The incantation was chanted, and the fourth-circle spell—[Arcane Eye]—slowly appeared behind Dylan.

The flow and circulation of all energy appeared before Dylan's eyes.

Fire, twisted flames of sin.

This was the first thing Dylan saw, and then he felt a stinging pain.

The fire of sin can distort the mind and soul, and even the physical form of living beings. Even if one only observes it from afar through the arcane eye, it has begun to gradually affect a high-ranking mage.

Despite the excruciating pain in his eyes, Dylan stared wide-eyed, trying to find a way out hidden behind the flames of sin.

Persistence pays off; he found it before any casualties occurred.

"Over there!" Dylan immediately stopped [Arcane Eye] and raised his staff.

2nd Ring Spell - Undying Flame

Clumps of flames, impossible to extinguish, coalesced and illuminated the path ahead.

Galadon immediately changed direction, holding his great shield in front of him: "Stay close to me."

That's all.

"Rumble..."

With a slight tremor, the almost unstoppable charge began.

All the monsters along the way, whether they were the tall, twisted Chaos Devourers or the tall, eerie jailer maids, were all violently smashed aside.

Galadron carved a path through the monster horde.

[Aganathar's Fire Breath] [Wind Spell]!

The wave of fire surged toward the monsters, and taking advantage of this opportunity, everyone followed behind Galahad and began to break through.

A thick, cursed black mist was slowly descending upon them.

Fortunately, just before their cursed death struck, they escaped the malevolent pit and entered a dark tunnel.

After spending some more time shaking off their pursuers, the five were finally able to rest for a while.

"Phew... We finally escaped."

Joel planted his sword in the ground and gasped for breath.

Galactus also dispelled the Giant Growth spell and returned to his normal size.

Elisa and Dylan, on the other hand, quickly crushed the radiant crystals they were carrying to replenish their magic power. Who knew what kind of terrible danger awaited them ahead, given the nature of this dungeon?

"Oh dear, my old bones almost fell apart."

The most exhausted priest, Horn, kept pounding his lower back. The power of faith that a priest releases through prayer cannot be replenished as quickly as a magician's magic power by crushing the radiance crystal; it can only be restored slowly.

After resting for a while, the group discussed their next plan.

All five knew that they needed to find an opportunity to reunite with the other four who had gotten separated.

Otherwise, if they continue to act separately, they will truly be "separated".

However, finding the lost Leah and Grace in the labyrinthine dungeon is obviously not an easy task.

With no other option, the five of them, after resting, could only take things one step at a time and pray that they could reunite sooner or later.

After traversing a long, dark passage and defeating some foolish skeleton minions, the area finally opened up before them.

But what appeared before them was a bottomless pit, and some narrow platforms extending from the pit walls, barely big enough for one person to stand on.

There's no other way.

Dylan frowned as he reactivated the [Arcane Eye]. He could see that some of the energy channels in the dungeon were converging towards the bottom of this deep pit.

This is enough to suggest that the bottom of this deep pit either contains some precious treasures or leads to the second-level tomb area.

"I'll just have to jump down slowly." Joel turned to the two mages. "Which of you has [Featherfall] spell? I don't want to be smashed to pieces."

"No." Dylan crossed his arms, his tone indifferent.

Although [Featherfall] is a 1st-level spell with strong functionality, it is almost a must-have for every mage.

But Dylan is an exception, because he goes for a turret build, and apart from [Arcane Eye], his deck is full of offensive spells.

"Hmph, I brought it."

Elisa finally found a place to stand out and immediately cast the [Feather Fall] spell on everyone.

Upon reaching the edge of the pit and peering down, an ominous premonition gripped Joel and Elisa's hearts.

This scene reminded them of their experience in the sick village.

But no matter what, we still have to go down.

After some planning, the five of them began to jump down one by one.

The leader was Joel, and the last was Galahad.

Unfortunately, with Galadon's physique, it's worrying that if he jumps forward, he might cause the platform to collapse.

Fortunately, with the bonus from [Feather Fall], Galahad's weight was barely within the platform's tolerance range.

As they carefully and hopped down, an ominous premonition lingered in Joel and Elisa's hearts.

"I have a feeling that there might be some monster waiting for us ahead," Joel couldn't help but mutter.

Before she could finish speaking, Alyssa glared at her: "Stop jinxing me!"

Joel quickly made a zipping motion with his mouth to indicate that he had shut up.

But words spoken are like water spilled; soon, the ominous premonition came true.

"Buzzing..."

With the sound of flapping wings, the bloated Mother of Aspid appeared in everyone's sight.
