Leon Kennedy felt like he was having the worst day ever. He was just a trainee police officer who had just graduated from the police academy and was about to start his job, and he was actually going to encounter a zombie attack, something that only happens in movies.

He was driving his car, with a girl in his lap, escaping from a gas station and heading towards the police station in Raccoon City.

"What exactly happened?" the girl asked, panting heavily. She looked like a female college student.

"I don't know either," Lyon said, catching his breath as he drove. "Hopefully my colleagues at the police station can tell me what happened."

"Are you a police officer?" the girl asked, looking at Leon with surprise.

"Yes, my name is Leon Kennedy. And yours?"

"Claire Redfield," Claire began, "my brother is also a police officer. I came to Raccoon City to see him, but I never expected to run into something like this."

"Okay," Leon glanced at Claire, "Let's go to the police station first. On the one hand, we can find out what's going on, and on the other hand, we can help you find your brother."

"Okay, thank you very much." Claire nodded and thanked Leon.

Soon after, Leon and Claire arrived near the police station in Raccoon City. As they looked around, they found the city in chaos, with cars parked haphazardly in the middle of the road, burning houses and vehicles everywhere, and hardly any normal people to be seen on the streets.

The car radio continued to broadcast disaster warnings intermittently after entering the city. Both men frowned and looked around anxiously, observing the possible situations.

Lyon was met with a number of haphazardly parked vehicles blocking the road to the police station, forcing them to stop.

"Looks like we'll have to walk to the police station." Leon turned off the engine, removed the key, and prepared to open the car door.

"Look, Lyon!"

Lyon heard Claire's exclamation and, following the direction she was pointing, saw several "people" eating a person lying on the ground by the roadside.

Perhaps it was the sound of the car that attracted their attention, for they slowly raised their heads to look at the vehicle where Lyon was.

Their faces were just like the horde of zombies they'd encountered at the gas station. Suddenly, several zombies lunged at the vehicle, pounding on it and trying to grab Leon and Claire inside.

Lyon quickly put the key back in and prepared to drive away.

Just then, the roar of an engine came from not far away, and a white light enveloped Lyon. He turned around and saw an out-of-control truck hurtling towards them, showing no signs of slowing down.

"Oh my god, get out of the car, get out of the car!" Leon shouted to Claire, and tried to push the car door open himself, but the car was surrounded by zombies and he couldn't open the door for a while.

"Bang……"

With a series of crashes, the truck overturned after hitting several cars, while Leon's car was knocked to the side by the truck and spun out of the car.

"Cough cough..." As the vehicle came to a stop, the door opened, and Leon coughed as he got out of the car. He took a few steps, glanced back at the burning vehicle, and quickly ran outside.

After running only a few steps, the vehicle exploded with a loud "boom," and the huge shockwave overturned Lyon.

"Claire, are you alright?" Leon got up and shouted at the burning car, hoping she had gotten out in time.

"I'm fine," Claire's voice came through, the flames separating her from Leon. "We'll split up and meet at the police station."

"Okay!" Leon agreed to Claire's suggestion as he saw the zombies closing in on him. He then quickly turned and ran towards the police station.

A short while later, after easily blowing the heads off several zombies that attacked him, Leon ran to the police station.

The police station was littered with corpses, some in police uniforms and some in ordinary clothes, but most of them had been shot in the head and killed. It seemed they had all turned into zombies and been killed.

Upon entering the police station, Lyon saw a police chief sitting on a bench in the lobby, holding a gun in one hand and clutching his wounded abdomen with the other, blood gushing out.

Upon hearing Lyon enter, the sheriff raised his gun and asked, "Who goes there?"

"Leon Kennedy," Leon raised his hands to indicate that he was a normal person, "a trainee police officer at the police station. I was supposed to report for duty last week, but I was notified at the last minute not to come."

"It's you. You shouldn't have come. It's too dangerous here." The sheriff put down his pistol, beckoned Leon closer, and then picked up a notebook from the side and handed it to Leon.

"My name is Marvin Bernard. Here, take this notebook. It contains the secret passages in the police station. The police station is currently surrounded by those things, and all the exits on the road are locked. Only this secret passage offers a way out."

"Great, Sheriff, once we find the secret passage, we can take you to the hospital." Leon approached with delight.

"No, my situation isn't important right now," the sheriff said weakly. "I know my own injuries. I was bitten by those zombies, and I'll probably turn into one of them soon."

"But I can't leave you here, maybe..."

"That's my order, rookie. Take care of yourself first." The sheriff forced himself to stay calm, looked at the pistol in his hand, and said, "I have one bullet left. I'm saving it for myself. I don't want to become one of those things."

"Live well." The sheriff handed the notebook to Leon and instructed him, "Remember, don't end up like me."

"Understood, sir."

After tidying himself up, putting on his police bulletproof vest, grabbing his weapons and supplies, and saying goodbye to Inspector Marvin, Leon headed towards the location of the secret passage recorded in his notes.

On the way, a gunshot rang out from the police station lobby, and Leon sighed softly.

According to the notes, the entrance to the police station's secret passage was on the other side of the police station. He was currently at the front door of the police station and was heading to the back door, but the direct path on the first floor was blocked by the collapsed building, so Leon decided to go around from the upper floor.

Leon went up to the second floor and saw Claire outside the police station from the second-floor window. He called out to Claire.

Leon then ran downstairs to the barbed wire gate of the police station and spoke with Claire. After exchanging information, they confirmed that neither of them was injured, and Claire decided to wander around the police station again to see if there was a chance to get in.

As they were talking, a helicopter crashed into the police station, and the ensuing explosion attracted the attention of the zombies, who all looked towards Claire outside the door.

"Claire, you have to go," Leon said to Claire. "Take care."

"You too," Claire said, turning and raising her gun as she fled in other directions. "We all have to live."

It's a deal.

After saying that, Leon turned and left to continue searching for the secret passage to escape the police station.

At that moment, Lyon and Claire were unaware that a tall figure was standing in the shadows of a distant alley, secretly observing them.

As Leon left, the man quickly headed towards the police station, his movements revealing a faint golden light beneath his black cloak.
