The Bizarre Adventure of the Warhammer Guard

Chapter 75 The Final Wall, The Attack

Seventy-two standard hours later, on Terra orbit.

The Orcs' Battle Moon still hangs in orbit around Holy Terra, its surface covered with irregular turrets, thrusters, and some towers of unknown purpose, while countless Orc warplanes circle around it.

However, after this battle, it will no longer rule this starry sky.

The Imperial fleet hovered silently at the edge of the main weapon range of the Combat Moon, arrayed in attack formation.

Seven powerful combat barges were positioned at the front of the formation, followed closely by more than ten strike cruisers, with dozens of smaller destroyers flanking the fleet.

Behind them was the Martian support force, a massive mechanical ark filled with countless intelligent legions and cultists, ready to launch a fatal blow against the orcs.

This combined fleet, consisting of the final Highwall Fleet, the remaining Terran Navy, and the Mechanicus reinforcements, is the limit of what Elpis can muster in the short term.

As for the other soldiers, they won't be back for a while.

"Where is Supreme Admiral Lanson?" Kurland stood on the command platform of the "Abomination," gazing at Lanson's flagship.

"He didn't come, my lord," Kurland's servant replied in a low voice.

"Cowards!" Kurland said with disgust. "A parasite among the Highlords, lacking even the courage to face the aliens."

"Notify all fleets," Kurland ordered without hesitation, turning to give the order, "In the name of the great Roger Dorne, begin the attack."

Then, the entire combined fleet charged toward Battle Moon in a wedge formation, like a sharp sword piercing the heart of the orcs, annihilating all enemies that stood in their way.

The orcs' "garbage ships," assembled from scrap metal and junk, immediately swarmed out of the moon's surface and crashed head-on into the human fleet.

Immediately afterwards, space was illuminated by a barrage of lasers and cannon fire, and explosions continued to erupt on the orc ships.

Space Marine interceptors sped off their battle barges, precisely targeting the Orcish warplanes painted with bizarre symbols, and engaged them in close combat.

Protected by layers of void shields, the mechanical ark followed closely behind, releasing swarms of suicide drones to provide support to surrounding friendly forces, intercept shells fired at friendly forces, and even directly ram into enemy ships.

Kurland calmly monitored the incoming combat information from all sides. As the plan was implemented, he handed over command of the fleet to Black Templar Chapter Commander Bohemond.

"For the Emperor! For Roggen Dorne!" Bohemond commanded, his battle cry echoing throughout the communications channel, "Charge! Crush them! Burn everything!"

Kurland, on the other hand, examined the battle situation with a more composed eye. His mind was racing, and he was constantly adjusting subtle instructions based on the battle situation.

He yearns for revenge and to be among the first to set foot on the Battle Moon, but Bohemond's fanaticism in slaying aliens worries Kurland.

He had no doubt about the chapter commander's bravery, but this fanatical Black Templar might lose his mind without restraint, break away from the combined fleet, and venture deep into enemy territory alone.

"Be careful. We're now within the effective range of the orcish gravity weapons," Kurland warned. "Maintain distance and stick to plan."

More orc ships swarmed out from the moon's surface, crashing haphazardly into the human fleet's pre-laid crossfire network.

Several Imperial warships fired their light spears simultaneously, the thick energy beams slicing through the darkness and instantly shattering the orc warships, inflicting a devastating blow on the orc fleet.

The main force of the orcs was finally enraged and began to advance relentlessly, attempting to overwhelm the human fleet with sheer numbers.

At the same time, on the towers on the surface of the moon, twisting energy threads began to appear. They converged and rotated, gradually twisting into a thick and violent gravitational whip.

After gathering its full power, the Gravity Whip lashed out, striking directly at the orcs' own ships, and then, without pausing, continued its trajectory towards the human fleet.

"Gravity weapon strike!" Kurland shouted into the comms channel. "Take cover!"

One strike cruiser was hit head-on, its Void Shield instantly overloaded and exploded, tearing the ship in two. Another cruiser quickly evaded, but was also hit on its side.

Ship debris and crew members who couldn't escape were instantly thrown into the cold space.

The gravity weapon that had launched a gravitational whip dimmed, entered cooldown, and began charging again. Taking advantage of this opening, the human fleet launched a counterattack, launching three whirlwind torpedoes from the battle barges, heading straight for the battle moon.

The human fleet drew ever closer to the battle moon. At that moment, another gravitational whip lashed out, cleaving a battle barge in two, and with undiminished force, severely damaged three more strike cruisers.

Then, the orc warships surrounded them and, after a volley of cannon fire, turned them into a ball of fire.

"They'll pay a much higher price for this!" Bohemond roared at the observation window, slamming his fist into the metal railing.

The first wave of Cyclone torpedoes had evaded layers of defense and reached the surface of the Battle Moon, instantly tearing several huge cracks in its metal shell.

A death vortex of flames and metal debris appeared at the center of the explosion, the massive impact causing the entire battle moon to tremble, and countless fragments were sent flying into space.

The Abomination continued its charge, and another Gravity Whip lashed out with renewed force.

Kurland quickly ordered the warship to sink to avoid the attack, but the whip deflected, only hitting the side of the warship and causing minor damage.

"Second volley of torpedoes, fire!"

Amidst Bohemond's battle cry, more torpedoes were launched in unison, blasting towards the Battle Moon in an attempt to destroy the tower where power was concentrated.

"The throne is above!" a servant in the communications center shouted. "My lords, we have received an energy signal from the fleet on the other side of Terra."

"What is that?" Bohemond shouted. "We have no reinforcements."

A new fleet tore through the veil of reality, emerging from the warp. It was the flagship of Astartes. Immediately afterward, a steady, resonant voice came from the communications array:

"This is Chapter Master Malfoy. The Iron Knight answers the call of the Final Wall in the name of the great Father of Genetics, Roger Dorne!"

"Great, brother, you've come at just the right time!" Kurland loosened his clenched fist slightly, his fighting spirit intensifying.

"I apologize for our lateness, but we have arrived now," said Malfoy. "The sons of Dorne, however far apart, will stand together forever when the horn sounds. The Iron Knights await command."

During the conversation, the second volley of torpedoes accurately hit the gravity weapon on the combat moon and disabled most of the firepower points on the combat moon. Now, they were to carry out the landing operation.

"All fleets at the Final Wall, prepare for landing operations," Kurland ordered. "Mechanical Ark, the road is clear; deployment can begin."

"For the Emperor! Sons of Dorne, stand firm!"
