Warhammer: Starting with Industrial Revolution

Chapter 48: Thanks to the Warp Storm

Ronin and Father Moraes quickly arrived at the upper-level starport, where Governor Karl had also arrived.

He approached Luo Ning anxiously and lowered his voice, "Have you gotten yourself into trouble again?"

His voice no longer trembled as much as before, but it still lacked confidence.

Luo Ning shook his head helplessly, and was about to say something to comfort him when the guide lights on the tarmac suddenly turned on.

The nuns' transport ship has broken through the atmosphere and is slowly approaching the shore.

They went to greet him, and the moment the hatch opened, Luo Ning felt a sudden light in his eyes.

The ladies who emerged from the cabin were all tall and slender, yet they didn't appear bulky at all; they had the perfect figures of supermodels.

At the same time, the smiles on their flawless faces, filled with boundless tenderness, seemed capable of healing the hearts of the ugliest people in the world.

The well-tailored nun's habit couldn't hide her voluptuous curves; her holy aura and mature charm blended together in a strange way.

All of this combined to create the image of a perfectly mature woman, coupled with their inherent temperament and indescribable sanctity.

It is simply the most perfect creation in the world.

He stepped forward and treated the woman at the head of the group with the utmost gentlemanly manners.

"Welcome to Vatos VII. I am Ronin, the governor's assistant. Please forgive any unpreparedness caused by the sudden visit of the nuns."

The woman at the head of the group radiated a strong maternal glow. Her gaze toward Ronin was gentle and calming. "Lord Ronin, you flatter me. I am the captain of this medical nun team: Bayonetta Ceressa. It is our fault for visiting so suddenly without prior notice."

Luo Ning smiled politely and began to introduce the other people around him.

Father Moraes eagerly stepped forward and asked, "Blessed Emperor, have the nuns come regarding my request for medical nuns from the sector headquarters?"

"I'm sorry, Father, we have not received such an order." Ms. Bayonetta shook her head with great regret.

Luo Ning stepped forward and bowed slightly again: "May I ask what brings you nuns to our planet?"

"We completed our support mission to the front lines, but encountered a severe subspace storm on our return journey. The spacecraft's navigation system and engines were damaged, so we had to make an emergency landing here."

Hearing Bayonetta's words, Ronin quickly understood. He turned around, pulled Governor Karl, who had initially wanted to stay out of it, and said slowly with a kind smile:

"The nuns must be tired from their journey. Please follow our Governor to the guest rooms to rest. I will arrange for someone to refuel and resupply your spaceship."

Bayonetta looked at Ronin and the governor beside him and nodded gently.

At the welcoming banquet, several nuns, already clean and tidy, arrived at the banquet hall on time.

Ronin noticed that Governor Karl was in a terrible state today; he hadn't been this flustered even when the tithe team and the Imperial Inquisition accompanied him.

"My lord, you seem a bit off today. What's wrong with you? There are so many beautiful women around, so gentle and considerate," Luo Ning asked curiously.

Governor Karl looked at Ronin with a conflicted expression.

"They are indeed beautiful, but don't you think their aura is completely different from ordinary people? They are definitely not ordinary medical nuns! Standing next to them, I even felt that I didn't dare to breathe loudly."

Listening to Governor Karl's words, Ronin looked completely bewildered.

He turned to Father Morales beside him and asked curiously, "Father, what do you think?"

"They are indeed not ordinary medical nuns, whose social status is unattainable. They are devout followers of the Emperor, and their faith is so pure that it can create a faint but firm ripple in the Warp. Even ordinary mortals without psychic abilities can instinctively feel this oppressive sense of the Emperor's will."

Father Moraes answered slowly in his aged voice, "Governor Karl's feeling, in terms that ordinary people can understand, is like when you look directly at the midday sun, you instinctively close your eyes. Faced with such an absolutely pure faith that cannot be profaned in any way, ordinary people will spontaneously feel awe and shame."

"So that's how it is," Luo Ning couldn't help but exclaim.

"Don't you feel that way?" Governor Karl looked at Ronin with surprise.

Luo Ning shrugged. "Aside from feeling that they are gentle and sexy older sisters, I don't have any other feelings."

"Blasphemy! How dare you utter such foul language to the nuns of the God-King!" Father Moraes angrily interrupted their conversation.

Ronin smiled helplessly and turned to the priest: "But why? Why do I feel completely differently from Governor Karl?"

"I can't explain it to you either. I can only say that perhaps your faith in the Emperor sustains your heart," Father Moraes said reluctantly, but deep down he didn't want to admit it. Based on the blasphemous remarks Ronin made, he couldn't possibly be a faithful believer.

But there is no other explanation that makes sense.

Listening to Father Moraes's conflicted thoughts, Ronin didn't know how to respond.

But they discovered that several nuns, led by Bayonetta, were already walking towards them.

"Since you're so devout, then this place is yours to take care of!" Governor Karl whispered these words in Ronin's ear before practically fleeing, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

As Luo Ning watched his retreating figure, he turned around and met Bayonetta's gentle gaze.

He immediately put on his most gentlemanly smile and bowed slightly: "Good evening, Ms. Bayonetta. Was dinner to your liking?"

At the same time, he was also trying to control himself and not to pay too much attention to that huge and round head of all evil.

Bayonetta nodded gently. "Thank you all for your hospitality. Where did the Governor go? He seemed to be in a hurry."

"He has an upset stomach. The Governor's stomach is very sensitive, so I'm afraid we won't be able to see him tonight. That's why he appointed me to keep the nuns company tonight." Ronin made up a reason, and he could clearly hear that none of the nuns present cared at all.

Throughout the dinner, Ronin and Father Moraes chatted with several nuns.

Although it didn't provide much nutrition, Luo Ning discovered that these nuns had an incredibly high level of faith in the Emperor.

With his power, almost no woman could resist his charm.

But in front of these medical nuns, especially Bayonetta who was clearly of a higher rank than the other medical nuns, although they were obviously more interested in Rhonin, they did not feel any affection for him at all.

But that's fine too, since these nuns were the emperor's most fervent and devout followers, bound by a vow of celibacy, dedicating their lives to the emperor.

If they have any outrageous ideas, even if no instrument can detect it, Rhonin's Slaanesh powers will absolutely and completely confirm his heresy, and the Inquisition and the State Church will not even give him any chance to explain.

Now all he can think about is how to make the best use of these unexpected guests.

With this group of experienced medical nuns, the hospital he had been preparing for so long was finally going to be established.
