Chapter 314 The Correct Use of Artificial Intelligence

Chapter 314 The Correct Use of Artificial Intelligence (First Update)

Skye frantically grabbed the tea from the cup and poured it into her backpack to put out the fire. With a hissing sound, only the acrid smell of burning electronic components remained in the air. She looked bewildered, and Fitz and Simmons beside her were also somewhat surprised, because although the laptop was old, it had been with Skye for a long time.

Suddenly, she spotted the culprit and glared at the most vicious look she'd ever given the sorcerer sitting to the side, a look of utter disdain on his face. Agent Coulson sighed heavily—Skye had recently weathered a crisis of trust. She'd been caught red-handed by Agent Melinda May for secretly contacting her ex-boyfriend from the Rising Tide organization. And now she was digging into the list again; this newcomer was a constant source of trouble. Agent Melinda May glared at her again, but this time Skye didn't back down. Instead, she puffed out her chest like a foolish swan, as if ready to lunge at Salomon at any moment.

Agent Melinda May mentally intensified Skye's upcoming physical training, determined to make the foolish rookie cry.

"This matter..."

"It's okay," Salomon said, not acting like a victim. "I'll buy her a computer later."

Skye wanted to retort, but found herself unable to find the words to express herself. She was furious and annoyed, her tanned skin turning red, especially when she saw Salomon gloating. She wrinkled her nose in anger, looking like a bulging, about-to-explode pufferfish.

However, she also learned a lesson from her last mission and didn't directly confront Agent Melinda. Of course, part of the reason was also because her ex-boyfriend's behavior made her feel somewhat ashamed.

"Reckless people don't survive in the magical world, Coulson." Salomon's voice was only audible to the person sitting next to him. "I expect you to inform me after you come into contact with magical events, rather than acting on your own. You are not capable of handling those things, Nick Fury has realized that, and I hope you do too."

"That's strange, Salomon," Agent Coulson said. "You wouldn't normally talk to me this much."

"Because you will save the world in the future."

Thanks to Master Wang's appetite, he was still eating a second tangerine peel duck after Coulson's team left.

"Did you see this from the Eye of Agamotto as well?" Little Wang the mage asked, rubbing his belly with a satisfied expression. He had only asked this question after Coulson's team had left, because he didn't want them to know more.

There aren't many people in Kamar-Taj who can use the Eye of Agamotto. In the eyes of the Little King, it's not surprising that Salomon can use the Eye of Agamotto. What is surprising is that he actually said that a few ordinary people can save the world. That's what surprised him the most.

Salomon gave an affirmative answer. "Not all crises that could destroy human civilization are related to magic," he said. "The nuclear weapons we have in stockpile could wipe out the entire Earth several times over. It's far too easy for mortals to destroy themselves. Who knows what kind of trouble they might cause to destroy themselves again? Agent Coulson and his team are very adept at handling crises caused by ordinary people. Let's trust them and give them some more help."

"You've become as mysterious as the Supreme Master now." Little Master Wang wiped his mouth with a tissue. "What are you planning to do next? And that guy who hacked your phone, I can tell your phone is brand new."

"What else can I do but pick up my girlfriend from get off work, of course! Let's go, order another takeout, I'm off to deliver the food," Salomon said. "As for the other guy, I've already ordered something good from Stark. If he wants to work with me, he'll have to meet my conditions."

Salomon's phone vibrated again.

Agreed... 3D model being created...

"See that? This is the right way to use artificial intelligence!" the sorcerer said smugly.

Since the angels' anomalies could not be fully investigated, and at Salomon's urging, the Sorcerer Supreme finally agreed to grant Bayonetta and Joan of Arc a long leave so they could rest. Joan of Arc had been eagerly anticipating this day; she had just received her salary from Kamar-Taj, and now she and Bayonetta could go on a shopping spree. Her elementary school teacher's salary was simply not enough for her extravagant spending, and she also resented that Salomon covered all the household expenses, which made her very uncomfortable.

She felt so uncomfortable that she wanted to smash Salomon's head in.

Bayonetta was perfectly aware of Joan's little scheme. Every night before bed, Joan would hug her and complain. But Bayonetta didn't point out the real reason for Joan's dissatisfaction, because she thought it would turn her good friend into an angry hermit crab who would rush up and pinch Salomon the moment he showed up, and wouldn't let go until he screamed.

Bayonetta couldn't help but laugh out loud at the thought of this comical scene.

In any case, it's good to be able to enjoy the family atmosphere for a while. It seems that these angels will continue to descend upon the Aetherial Plane, and these living Kamar-Taj will be left to them. There's no need to worry about the family income at all. Bayonetta doesn't like Salomon being responsible for all the family expenses, because she is the head of the household.

The good stuff I ordered from Stark finally arrived. It was Stark Industries' most advanced holographic projection device, the whole thing as big as a table. Salomon had to use four of his constructs stored in the Immortal City to move it into the apartment—which drew another curse from Joan of Arc, who disliked the huge damage this heavy thing did to the apartment floor and the electricity bill.

When this thing is turned on, the meter might run backwards.

Salomon placed his phone on the holographic projection device and activated all its functions. Amidst the rapidly shifting, stacked blocks of color, a somewhat blurry figure composed of blue dots appeared on the device. The figure appeared to be no more than an arm's length tall, and its movements were somewhat clumsy; Salomon thought it was testing its motor skills, its tiny arms and legs stretching out in all directions. As the progress bar slowly reached its end, the projection gradually became clearer, and the sound from the speaker went from stuttering to smooth.

Finally, a Thumbelina with an expressionless face floated on the table, specks of color extending upwards from her skirt, giving her bright hues and eyes. Then, the figure blurred again, and Thumbelina's face displayed expressions almost human-like—adapted from a camera, an algorithm she had learned to simulate emotions after gaining her freedom. She reached out her tiny hand, wanting to touch Salomon, and the sorcerer also extended a finger, touching the illusory projection.

Through complex calculations, a volume collision occurred between the virtual and the real.

"What can i do for you, Sir?" she said.

"Save the world."
