Chapter 333 The Supreme Sage's Insurance Measures

Chapter 333 The Supreme Mage's Insurance Measures (Second Update!)

Conversations about the future were always captivating, but Salomon didn't go into the room to join in. In fact, he was thinking about something else, a trivial matter. After a brief moment of thought, he made up his mind, reached into his dimensional bag, and pulled out a silver-white iron box.

The metal box was enchanted, maintaining a consistently low internal temperature. However, it was too small to hold more than a few equally small items. The sorcerer opened the box, taking out an ampoule and a small vial containing white powder. After some fiddling, he produced a small syringe filled with a small amount of clear liquid.

"Thor, I got it!" A strange, furry creature that ran on all fours shouted as it passed Salomon, followed by a large group of Asgardian soldiers chasing after it.

"Thor, I got it!"

"Catch that rabbit!" the Asgardian soldiers shouted as they gave chase. This comical scene was exactly what Salomon had been waiting for. He grabbed Rocket Raccoon, while the Asgardian soldiers continued to pursue the illusion Salomon had created. Before Rocket Raccoon could even struggle, Salomon swiftly plunged the syringe into the back of its neck.

"Shit! Who are you! What did you do?!" Before Rocket Raccoon could bite the arcane mage's wrist, Salomon threw it away. Rocket Raccoon clutched the object tightly in its hands. It couldn't figure out what the person in front of it was going to do, nor did it know what kind of stuff he had injected into its body.

"Don't worry, it's just a rabies vaccine," Salomon said, his expression still serious, as if he weren't doing something absurd. He considered it insurance—Rocket Raccoon had been to Earth before; who knew if he'd fallen for some female raccoon near the junkyard? He was doing this to ensure the future Avengers wouldn't suddenly develop a disease!

Don't laugh! The price of interfering with fate is extreme caution; fate will correct its interference in unexpected ways! Salomon must be careful!

"Raccoons all have rabies, that's common knowledge. If you bite me, I'll need to get vaccinated too."

"Who the hell are you?!"

"You'll see me when you return to the future," Salomon waved his hand. "Ask Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and Steve Rogers for details. I just hope no one shoots at me when my future self appears."

"Can I go now?" Rocket Raccoon asked nervously, clutching the little gadget in his hands. Salomon nodded nonchalantly—"Remember to inject it back into Jane Foster," he said. "I'll wait here; you know where I am. Just let me know when it's time."

"Okay~" Rocket Raccoon ran off, half-believing, half-doubting, glancing back every now and then to make sure Salomon wasn't chasing after him. However, Salomon didn't see anyone return the Aether; only Sif and Queen Frigga emerged from the room. Queen Frigga held the device Rocket Raccoon had been carrying earlier, her face full of exasperation—"A man gave me this thing, and he's got Thor's hammer! I don't know how disappointed Thor will be when he finds his hammer missing," Queen Frigga said. "Now we have a choice: whether or not to re-inject this into Jane Foster's body."

"In fact, this matter could end here." The Queen deliberately glanced at Salomon's expression. As the Sorcerer Supreme's spy on destiny, Salomon's purpose in coming here must be related to the Aether, so the Queen specifically sought Salomon's opinion. However, the Sorcerer did not give a definite answer.

"I don't think this matter can end so simply, Your Majesty." Salomon followed Sif and the Queen toward the room where Jane Foster was. "I've always been worried about the corrective forces of fate; they'll continue in a plausible way, which is why I asked Miss Sif to come as insurance. The Aether doesn't need to be injected into Jane Foster, but I'm also worried that the Dark Elves will obtain it in other ways."

"You're questioning my duties and abilities, Salomon Damonette!" Sif said irritably. "I will do everything in my power to protect the Aether, and in the meantime, no one will be able to harm the guests of Asgard!"

Queen Frigga seemed to have planned this all along. "Don't be angry," she patted Sif's shoulder. "You've heard about the future, but don't tell anyone. It will have a terrible impact on the future. Too many variables will cause the future to spiral completely out of control, which is something no one wants to see." The Queen looked at the Sorcerer, "Does the Sorcerer Supreme intend for fate to continue as it has always been?"

"Your Excellency has other plans," Salomon said. "Eliminating the remaining dark elves is what we should be doing now. The World Tree must not be infected by dark matter."

"I am ready to face my destiny." As one of the most accomplished sorceresses in Asgard, Queen Frigga foresaw her own demise long ago. "Whether it is Ragnarok or now, it makes no difference; this is the fate of the Aesir."

"I don't think you need to be so pessimistic." Salomon entered the room and saw Jane Foster slumped on a recliner, the four needle pricks on her neck quite noticeable. Clearly, Rocket Raccoon hadn't been gentle when extracting the Aether, and Jane Foster wouldn't believe she'd been attacked by a raccoon.

If Darcy knew, she'd laugh her head off.

"Let's let her sleep first. I'm sorry to ask you to do this, Sif." The Queen instructed Sif to move Jane Foster to the small room next door and protect her there. After everyone else had left, the Queen spoke to Salomon, "The Dark Elves are sensitive to the Aether; they will come here. They have been preparing for this attack for a long time. I will face the Dark Elves here. You are a guest of Asgard; you don't need to interfere..."

“In fact, His Holiness only asked me to do one thing.” Salomon reached into his dimensional pouch. When he revealed what he held, even Frigga, the Queen of the Gods, stared in astonishment. “A spell prepared long ago by the Sorcerer Supreme,” he said. “His Holiness wants me to attach this spell to you; it’s a necessary precaution. His Holiness said the Allfather cannot be without you… and also said that someone has to change the diapers of a senile old man, and Kamar-Taj isn’t for that…”

"I didn't expect the Sorcerer Supreme to be so generous." The Queen nodded in agreement. "Although I don't know what the Sorcerer Supreme saw, it all indicates that Odin's future won't be good. I understand, let's begin. Oh, by the way, I have a plan..."

"...Okay, I understand. I'll do as you say."

----------

When Malekith pushed open the door, he saw three women and a strangely dressed man inside the room.

The man, leaning on a longsword, exuded an aura of magic, and the woman in ornate silk was also a sorceress. Malekith didn't recognize the insignia on the man's robes, nor did he look Asgardian. As for the woman, he recognized her even less, though her Asgardian attire spoke volumes. They were the most threatening people in the room; the other two women were completely beneath his notice—even in armor, Sif was far too weak in Malekith's eyes.

In fact, he knew nothing about the current Allfather; Odin had only just begun to rise to prominence when he was defeated, and was not qualified to stand on the same battlefield as him. Therefore, Malekith regarded everyone in the room as an enemy.

"Who are you?"

"I am Malekith," he said. "I want my things back."

However, before he could approach the trembling Jane Foster, the diva Frigga's dagger had already pierced his body.

"No." The Queen's martial arts were astonishing, and Sif quickly stepped forward. She raised her longsword and slashed at Malekith. Salomon remained motionless, blocking Jane Foster's path. He twitched his fingers to ensure they wouldn't get tangled during the upcoming spellcasting—Frigga and Sif were more than capable of handling dark elves without ether particles; his target was the large creature about to enter the room.

Cursed Warrior.

Hahahaha! You didn't expect that, did you?! I actually updated!

I recommend this book, "Leviathan Chronicles," an older edition. You should be able to find it in bookstores; I was absolutely delighted reading it.
