Chapter 412 Top Secret Files (First Update)

Agent Coulson identified the woman lying behind the bar, then waved for the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to leave the bar, now littered with body parts and blood. This was not only because he saw Salomon's maid had already reloaded her explosives, but also because he didn't want to get involved. If they stood in the way of the android maid, they might be killed by Dinah, who was only concerned with Salomon's safety.

The woman who was strangled to death was the wife of the biker gang leader, now cut into pieces. It's likely that Lorelei seduced the gang leader and made him strangle his wife. Aliens taking human lives would anger even the good-natured Agent Coulson. If it weren't for Thor's relationship with the Avengers, Agent Coulson would have already evacuated them.

He knew that Salomon's organization had very close ties to Asgard, so Agent Coulson believed that Salomon would act with restraint. Giving the Asgardians a lesson would be good; S.H.I.E.L.D. only needed to ensure no one died and that relations between Asgard and Earth didn't reach a stalemate.

"Stop!" Sif scrambled to her feet, her tightly bound hair slick with dust. The small shield on her arm bore dents and black scorch marks from the incomplete combustion of explosives. Salomon had shown mercy; he had only fired at the shield, avoiding vulnerable areas like Sif's knees. The powerful drag of the bullets continued to push Sif backward, and the arriving android maids took over Salomon's suppressive fire, giving the arcane mage time to deal with Lorelei's escape attempt.

Just as Sif was distracting Salomon, she got up and ran to the back of the bar.

Lorelei never imagined that the Earth would become so dangerous. In the past, she was known as the Daughter of the Rhine, combing her long hair with a golden wooden comb, and her singing could cause sailors on the Rhine to run aground and sink their ships. But she never expected that Salomon would be unmoved by her beauty and even attack her without hesitation.

Salomon embraced Lorelei's slender waist, his movements as gentle as if he were holding a lover. Although her chest and abdomen still throbbed, Lorelei chuckled softly—any man would be tempted, and no man could resist the desire for physical intimacy with her. It must have been her pitiful state during her escape that touched this man's heart, and then that compassion, under the power of magic, transformed into love!

She turned around with a victorious smile and gave Salomon a light kiss on the lips.

"My warrior." After a while, she separated from Salomon. The magic had taken effect, and Lorelei licked her lips, smiling as she said, "You should fight for me now. I will give you everything you want, including me."

"Of course," Salomon nodded. Suddenly, Lorelei felt Salomon's arms around her waist tighten abruptly. Before she could react, her head was struck hard. The world went upside down; all she could see was the yellow dust of the Nevada desert. A piercing buzzing sound and dazzlingly colorful lights filled her mind. She only remembered a dull thud, and then she knew nothing more.

Salomon, having just finished off Brock Lesnar's signature "Beast Throw," held the dazed Lorelei in his arms. "You're mine, Lorelei," Salomon said gruffly. "Asgard hasn't sent any warrants for your capture, and Kamar-Taj has a job searching for dimensional stowaways."

"The prisoner resisted fiercely, and the Kamar-Taj sorcerer had no choice but to take appropriate countermeasures." He pressed the bomb gun against Lorelei's head. "Goodbye, Lorelei, your kiss was sweet."

Sif is a loyal warrior, without a doubt. She would sacrifice everything, including herself, to fulfill the commands of the Allfathers. Therefore, when she saw Lorelei kiss Salomon, her first thought was that Salomon had been seduced, and the arcane mage had betrayed her.

But the android maid still stood in her way. Both sides were holding back, neither going all out. But just as Salomon was about to kill Lorelei, Sif finally couldn't hold back any longer.

"I remember that bar used to be the Cerberus biker club. Although it was battered and shabby from the Nevada desert winds and the windows were covered in dust, it was still a good bar by rural standards."

Agent Maria Hill glanced at Agent Coulson sitting opposite her; the dim lighting made the atmosphere extremely oppressive. She pulled up a small lamp to illuminate the document, picked up a pen, and wrote down everything Agent Coulson had said, not omitting a single word.

Agent Coulson unbuttoned his cuffs and reached into his breast pocket. Agent Hill didn't notice his movement; she knew Agent Coulson was armed, but she also knew his loyalty. Agent Coulson took a deep breath and placed his S.H.I.E.L.D. badge on the metallic tabletop.

"That bar is now a ruin, and as the highest-ranking commander present at the time, I bear primary responsibility for failing to mediate the conflict between the special targets." He said in a low voice, "I am willing to accept punishment. My squad members were under my command; they bear no responsibility."

Agent Hill didn't even glance at him, instead continuing to write something on a piece of paper. After a while, she spoke, "No one will punish you, Agent Coulson. Objectively speaking, the conflict between superhumans wasn't something you could have resolved at the time. The Director only wants to know the outcome. What you saw is important, so let's get down to business."

"Alright." Agent Coulson nodded, but he still didn't take the badge back. He placed his hands on the table, seemingly organizing his thoughts. "I saw Sif launch an attack on Salomon."

"And then?" Agent Hill paused writing with great interest.

"It could be magic or something," Agent Coulson said. "I saw Salomon's maid shoot Sif as she passed her, and Salomon was shouting in a language I couldn't understand. Then the bar collapsed, burying everyone in dust."

Agent Maria Hill wrote a few more lines on the document.

"and then?"

"Then something strange happened..."

Agent Coulson shuddered.
